- The Civil War Display is really coming along! I accumulated lots of new items in the last couple months. Now, it's time to go even further back to The American Revolution; when America was born.
We hope to have the museum open this May, but it depends on the conditions of the virus. We have many new items and displays to show tourists. The museum now goes back 243 years! Lots and lots of military history to see and learn.
dragonman is a national treasure
Possibly needs to be on mt Rushmore
He's so cool. I like how he says see that. He says cook and hole a lot. Bevis and Butt Head would do their silly laugh
You Damn well fucking A right he is and we are all blessed to have him around
@@wolfnightfire2006 most American guy out there
Да
I’m surprised that he hasn’t ran out of room yet!
That's the beauty of a metal building, very easy to just keep adding on more and more
Or money 🤣
@@nimrod275 he's a very smart man, that's why he invested so much into the firearms business but not just that, he has the museum, the shooting ranges, & the dirt bike tracks, him & his ppl are set for life...
@@chuckyharsson3706 people will always wanna spend money on cool fun stuff. hes def gonna be just fine no matter what lol
*digging through a box of old civil war items*
Hey look a nerf football
*throws*
….
I'm pretty sure hand grenades are much older since the british have a song from the revolutionary war called "british grenadiers" and even the ancient Chinese had hand grenades as old as 850ad!
@@fishin_da_hood5020 I think he was talking about grenades in American history.
@@fishin_da_hood5020 grenades and and grenadiers have been around a long time since the pike and shot era. They looked more like cartoon bombs as they were basically explosive cannonballs with fuses that soldier would light and throw at enemy lines. That grenade however is the first one that didn't have to be lit using a fuse. Love dragon man but he's not very historically accurate and is heavily biased towards the American perspective of things
"General Custard"...lol.
357lockdown I came looking to see if anyone else caught that 😂
He was a general he gets to keep that title even though he was Put back to a Lt Col he still keeps the title of general
@@tylersmity3845 No kidding...my point is his name was "Custer", not " , "Custard".
Yup the General "got served", by the indians.
Leading the charge with a Bottle of Milk in one hand and a packet of Birdseye in the other 😊
My one of my best friends moved to Colorado Springs a few years ago from Southern California. I was going to go visit him but this Covid-19 stuff started happening. I told him the first thing I wanted to go see was your museum if it wasn’t far. He knew exactly what I was talking about too which was cool. I still hope to go there soon because your collection is amazing!
You been there yet?
Did you go there yet
The United States needs to declare his house a national landmark
Yep
dragonman we need more of you all over the u.s.a....
Awesome! Once this whole quarantine is over i’m going to come visit the museum!
Looks very cool indeed!
You can go now. You could have gone a month ago.
DriveOnParkway ParkOnDriveway i didn’t know about this place a month ago. also, where i live, we can’t leave to go on a trip
I’m planning a visit
I am a state legislature and we homeschool our children and we would love to come down Colorado Springs and visit your awesome historic center.
Hurry its closing for winter soon
Grace be to you
Grenades have been around since the 1600s. That’s where the term grenadier is derived... from soldiers who specialized in wielding grenades.
Hi! I'm from The Netherlands and I hope to visit your museum once! Keep up the great work, love your video's! You're a great man!!
Jan same here!
best regards from germany!
And Scotland!
And England!
And Sweden
And South Africa
I think you're getting Andrew Jackson confused with Andrew Johnson.
I don't think so
Correct, Andrew Jackson(on the $20) was president 1829-1837 before the Civil War.
@@RetroCat31 thank you
Yeah there's no way theyd put Andrew Johnson on money lol. He was extremely racist and wanted to restrict freed slaves rights. He almost was removed from office but stayed in narrowly by one vote.
@@dmitrialeexev7131 Andrew Jackson owned slaves and had a black bed wench, forced or not, was one of the leaders of the democratic party also known as the KKK. Might want to check out Dinesh D'Souza's documentary
I can sit down with this guy and have a nice drink and listen to him about the war
👍
I love your museum, I'll definitely come check it out when this COVID is over!
Julian Emery same here!
best regards from germany!

im on my 6th or so video of yours, im convinced your collection really is never ending, just amazing
Dragonman’s collection is unique
I winced when he dry fired that revolver.
@@michaelo5003 It's a collectors item. After market nipples ruin the value both monetary and historical
CUSTER HAD IT COMING!!!! ayyyyy no but for real though you’re museum is amazing, and when I join the Marines you can expect to get a new uniform if I make it back.
My brother inlaw has three confederate notes he is wanting to sell it to a collector your the perfect person to talk to
I thank you Dragonman for your service to our country. Our country should be honored to have someone like you that has the most amazing historical museum and it is an honor to me to see your videos and I know I say this part in every comment, but I just cannot wait to bring my sons (one 7 year old and two year old twins) and if i lived anywhere near Colorado springs, I would probably visit every day.
1:07 You could play a really fun and dangerous game of lawn darts with one of those.
Great guy really genuine I'm from Ireland and will definitely be going to see his place some day and it would be a great honour to meet him

Great display, love the grenade! I've never heard of it.
I ever get to go to Colorado ill be going to this place for sure.Beautiful
“See that” “See that still works” I love this because of how much he loves it. Bless you Dragonman
I am a member of the Sons Confederate Veterans and I think this is awesome. We also partner with the sons of the Union are Northern counterparts. The main cause for the Civil War for the South was the states right of secession to govern themselves and also the north was putting a extremely high tariff on the south. Slavery was a secondary issue. Look up Jim Lumber Jim Lumber was a black child that Jefferson Davis during the Civil War he unofficially adopted him because he was getting beaten by a black adult. And to get the child his last name now he wouldn't have done that if the war was truly fought over slavery. Abraham Lincoln didn't say the war was over slavery in the beginning during the start of the Civil War Lincoln said the war was about preserving the union and that is all he didn't say that it was over slavery until the middle of the war.
Hello! My son just turned me on to your museum and channel. Now I'm binge watching! Thank you for all these postings... We're in Northern Colorado, and as soon as this civic mess is gone we WILL be coming down to see your museum! Really looking forward to it. Hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy, and we're all looking forward to visiting your amazing collections! 😊❤
Warning there’s a lot of misinformation
I just wanted to say Mr. Dragonman that your museum is amazing I love it
Excellent collection would love to see it all in-person.
I'm definitely making a trip to take in all of this history before this good man passes
Excellent. I learned plenty. Lovely stuff.
Great collection, Dragonman!!!
I grew up in central Mississippi and can vividly remember visiting Vicksburg and being told it was likely we could find bullets in the grass as we toured the battlefield! In the woods I used to explore behind my home were civil war trenches as well, basically just big waves in the ground deep in the woods to provide cover.
Have you ever been to Shiloh?
This must've been the toughest section to collect for considering how long ago the civil war was. I live in Washington state but want to drive to Colorado springs to see it all. Love it!
I love the Civil War room collection even more than the others, items or replicas of older conflicts are harder to collect than the ones from the the more modern ones.
I really enjoy all of your videos! You should have really been it history teacher. Very informative thank you so much!
Thank YOU!!! DRAGONMAN!!! Thank you really.
I’m going to visit your museum as soon the virus is gone. Salute from Boston
Nice display Dragonman. One day I will def stop by. Greetings from NYC
if we visit USA i MUST visit you and your Museum !! Best Regards from Bavaria :)
very nice. good luck. stay well.
im going to try and fly over the uk , its amazing bit of kit you have
I was born and grew up in Appomattox Va where the civil war ended. The town is fool of relics in peoples homes.
Awesome video! Thanks
I have a relative that fought in the Civil war name Andrew Jackson Armstrong.
He fought for the south and died in 1916.
That's not the first hand grenade, I know in a previous video you showed the textbook. But it's wrong, unless it's talking about that specific grenade either or it's not the first combat hand grenade. First hand grenade was from like the 16th century. Why do you think we'd call some units for example in the Colonial Era, "Grenadiers" who had the big fur hats and carried grenades. The Civil War wasn't fought only over slavery, like you mentioned. It was over state rights mainly and money for example the North putting tariffs on European goods so Europe put tariffs on imported cotton.
Other than that its a great display and takes a lot of passion and I'm sure it is hard to remember ever little artifact that you own. So hats off to a cool private museum
It was over slavery. Don't kid yourself.
You're right it wasn't about slavery at all it was about greed and Lincoln wanted total control over the whole country he started an illegal war should ask what they didn't put in the history books my friend lived in a town in Michigan the north brought all their slaves there and shot them and buried them in mass graves millions of them the old timers have pictures of the dead slaves lined up stacked as high as the buildings all the way down main street with union soldiers in the pictures he said he lived in a house there that was extremely haunted every time the water recieds bodies wash up in the marshes
@@lowbudgetstunts3423 & the rest, thanks for pointing out that the civil war WAS NOT solely about slavery.
Glad you mentioned the states rights and economy part many people don't consider the ways of life for people back then slavery was evil but confederates fought for freedom to have there own land economy government and laws
@@aidenduarte1862 amen brother god bless you from a fellow Virginian my great great great grandfather was an officer in lees army of northern virginia im 15 and ive never trusted our false school system
keep up the good work dragon man i love ur videos
I'm from Britian and would love to bring my family to visit your museum and possibly your firing range one day! get yourself some more British WW2 memorbilia. I love your collecttion
Amazing
This guy is really awesome 👌
Great video
I learn something new everyday wish they would of taught us this when I was in high school would of made history more exciting
The civil war was not about freeing slaves. The union had slaves during the civil war. The south wanted to leave the union to protect their rights but the union opposed and thats what started the war. The union weren't fighting to free slaves, they were fighting to prevent southern secession.
love how he calls presidential terms of office 'tours' - fitting!
I know this is nothing compared to what you have...But i am still proud to say my family still has the cartilage pouch, uniform buttons, and a bullet from the civil war on the union side...all so awesome to see. I am sadly the only one in the family that is younger than 60 that is actually intrested in all this, so I will actually be getting alot of old medals, and these kind of things when the unfortunate happens and my grandpa, and uncle, and aunt pass away. We have alot of other things, like a purple heart from one of my ancestors, among other things.
I don't even like guns, but you, sir, are a legend.
Fantastic
This guy is awesome!
Someone needs to make a statue of this legend
Dragonman is one hell of a man. I love the collection of rifles muskets.
$60k later. Love your channel Mel
History is the only tangible time. The present and future are mere hopeful concepts.
this lad deserves more views!
Love from Canada! Dragon man is fucken awesome!!!
Great American ... The one with the most toys WINS!
Some people in this World are Absolutely Uncontestable and completely unreplaceable and 100 percent the real deal and Dragon Man Is That and then some and we all owe him big time for his service and for his catalogue if Historical artifact preservations that are completely priceless the entire world must study the history of war so that the mistakes that were made in the past will never be repeated in the future.. the advancement of technology solutions and historical weaponised mechanical engineering is also very important because to know where we are going we must first fully understand where we have been ....Forever remain Forward but never in a straight line 😎💯💥
You are the freaking coolest dude ever
Amazing! If is possible i would like to visit your museum the next year. Kind regards from mexico

You gotta respect Booth. He avenged the confederacy.
Holy Hand Grenade! Epic
Ever since I discovered your channel, I watch several of your videos everyday. .and greatly enjoy them, you are what America is about, we need more of you..
I just have two questions, 1st, I'm a big tanktop guy, I bought your white outlined one, but want the yellow outlined one, as you wear will it be available soon,
and 2nd, what the hell is that clicking noise in your videos, it sounds like someone clicking a pens button..
Keep the videos coming, can't get enough of em..
Thanks Eric
