England and Arsenal star will never look/read right for me: United shouls have done far more to keep her. That said, I wish her well for the future with both Arsenal (except against United!) and England (I so want to see her with a World Cup winners medal - along with all the other Lionesses of course!).

@@astalavista5328 As I understand it Alessia was open to staying at United but became disillusioned with the way the club with dealing with her. They are terrible at dealing with both contract and transfer discussions, and I am talking about the men's and women's teams: look at the way that have dealt with the de Gea situation. Alessia was good for United but her best years are yet to come. Arsenal are now going to enjoy the best years of her career: well done United!

I admire this woman greatly, both as a person and as a player; I just hope she's made the right decision. She wants champions league football; she may have got it far easier staying at Manchester United among friends and colleagues. Fingers crossed for her but having gone to Arsenal on a free transfer....? Football's a ruthless sport.

Becuase she is she is born in uk her mum is British dad is Italian and when she was 18 she went to America for 3 years to study football.
@@Unkn0wn2o08.S Her dad is actually English as well, as her grandad moved to England in the 1950's. But the first generation (her dad) was obviously brought up by Italian father so would naturally still feel Italian. I believe her dad is the record goalscorer for the Metropolitan Police.
