How did this kid not see how the ladies loved him and how he was every bit as talented as his brothers? He should still be alive today, writing songs with Barry.
Absolutely! In my opinion he's got the abilities of all his brothers in terms of singing and writing songs, if time machine exists, I'll definitely go back to 1979 to tell him how much we love his music and encourage him to believe in himself! Though I'm not living in the same era as he did(I'm 22), I can always feel his lyrics deeply, maybe it's because I'm about the same age when he performed/wrote those songs, I wish he's still around too!
@@henryshu6265 His problem was that he expected to be as good as his brothers were when they had many years of experience by the time he started. A very unfair comparison. In the end, that is what made him go on his last booze filled binges. To bad. I remember his days of glory. Even I used to say, “what? ANOTHER Gibb brother?!!!” And you could tell his brothers were also his “back up singers” on the songs I remember! Ha! Even I felt over saturated by the Gibb boys when both acts had top hits at the same time. Their sounds were allot alike to me even though Andy was just a kid when he appeared on the scene and his brothers were adults by then, with families.

Barry Gibb has always been a different man from his brothers. He is not only very handsome, very talented and has a wonderful voice, but also a wonderfully devoted husband and family man. Except for the first years, he had nothing to do with drugs and alcohol thanks to his wife, Linda. Their loyalty and love for each other have always brought success to Barry Gibb and are still with us today. Thank you Linda for giving him this beautiful life and beautiful love and taking good care of him

@@sindingwenya603 Barry wasn't the only Bee Gees, of course. It would be unfair to say this, but he was the one who kept the group alive and brought success. As he himself said, he was very happy in his personal life. Robin was on the pill and had a distorted sex life and of course Maurice's problem with alcohol. Barry Gibb, unlike them, lived a family life. That's why he was always one step ahead of them. Andy should have taken Barry as an example, not only musically but also as a lifestyle. But unfortunately he couldn't give up alcohol, drugs and women.
Definitely. Now in terms of vocals, I think Robin stands out amongst all three (four, with Andy) of them. While Barry's voice is very nice to hear, Robin's voice was just a totally different deal, and in that aspect, Robin was a step ahead. Even Maurice (fairly the one who got to sing less lead vocals than his brothers) once admitted it. As much as I admire all the four Gibbs, Robin's voice was undoubtedly the most remarkable.

Robin became vegan after the 70s. He did not drink alcohol, drugs or smoke. But his divorce and not being able to see his children for a while affected him greatly. Afterwards, he had an even worse marriage. He himself explained that he had a perverted marriage life with that woman. He always looked unhappy and depressed. And he became very weak. It is certain that Dwina was not a worthy wife for him. Maybe if he had a good marriage life, he would not have lost so much weight, he would have looked healthier and he would not have had cancer at an early age. But undoubtedly Mo's death also affected him greatly.
Been a fan of the Bee Gees since I heard Words (16 & living in Europe at the time). They were incredibly talented. It's eerie how much Barry & Andy look so much alike; they even sound alike. They will always be my number one favorite group!!!!!

Barry and Andy were so close they even looked alike MO and Robin were twins they were close it hurt them all when Andy died but I really think it almost killed Barry inside he said he had lost his brother and best friend,when they sang together looking at each other you could see the love in both of their eyes for each other,even their mother said they were twins born 12 years apart, I will always miss them all such great talented men.

Every time I see Andy with his brothers, or see him singing with them, or hear songs like this, it always makes me think on what could have been if fate hadn't have been so cruel to these brothers. As another comment I once read said, Andy joining the Bee Gees would have injected this amazing new energy into this group, and only propelled them to greater heights. I fully believe that.
Bee Gees were already phenomenal as they were, but I just can't help imagining how happy they may have been all together as it was intended. Perhaps Andy would have joined Maurice in keeping the good vibes between Barry and Robin, too.
I think for any fan, it's nearly impossible to think of the Bee Gees without thinking of Andy, too. ❤️

Andy have some look like Barry, natural in being brothers., but they are not identical. Forgive me if you think differently, but as for me Barry is superlative in all.
