This is so delicate and beautifully sung. But every time I hear this song I also hear the wailing of a family member of someone who was killed in the massacre. It was the first time this song was sung after the tragedy. I think the reality just hit the person who was screaming out his grief during this song.
This is so sad... However, where I am from in Africa, more kids die everyday of hunger... no concert for them, we are just too poor of a people. Complete horror yet the world have forgotten about us.
This song (written in 1936, even before ww2!) is really for all... a humanitarian song with no border, it works also against war all over.. and also the african kids if you want..!
My country is allowed to mourn our country men and women when they die at the hands of a psycopath. This had never happened in Norway and it was a shock. When something terrible happens to our own in Norway, we, the Norwegians(who btw sends Africa millions in aid every single year, going as far as having televised fundraisers which is sent to Africa.. what do you spend that money at? ) rally together. We did this during July 22 2011. and we did it again this December when ten people were killed in a landslide. 77 people died on July 22, 2011 at the hands of a psycopath. 70 of which were children. We are allowed to mourn and remember our own no matter how bad the world is beyond our borders. If you don't like it, don't leave a comment and show some goddamn respect.
How disgusting of you! here we have 70 children, teenagers and 7 adults gunned down by a monster, and you complain that Africa is not the center of attention? Norway has donated untold millions to support various African nations. Norwegians are entitled to mourn the loss of their own people in the tragedies that affect their people, their citizens, and their society without you vomiting your hatefilled, self absorbed numbers game nonsense. If you want respect and sympathy maybe start by showing it to others? Oh this is so sad, but the death count in Africa is higher, so Norway shouldn't hold commemorative concerts for their own dead, they should hold them for us, because there are more of us, than them. Get lost, you're beyond repulsive!

Jeg griner hver gang jeg hører den. Ikke bare i forb. med 22. juli, men uansett. I hver konfirmasjon jeg deltar i, sitter jeg der og griner....
i really don't understand why the viewer is only 1.5 million. His voice is so much better than many many many other singers.
Perché la meravigliosa lingua svedese non è abbastanza diffusa? Una lingua stupenda.
