    This was really helpful! I think this is what is wrong with mine! I’m hoping so. My fuse went all the way through the back and fell inside so I’m pretty sure it is. Ordered the parts you recommended

    Everyone mentions changing the fuse but first try the reset button. Mine does not have a reset button and I can't find a fuse. I have taken it apart and still no fuse. There is a mother board in mine. The ones I look at have the fuse access from the outside of the machine so I don't think mine actually has a fuse. But I am electronically challenged. Thanks for the video though. It seems helpful to a lot of people.

    Hello I have 2 heat press machines that are not working I can fix my 15x15 by simply replacing the AC power cord male socket/inlet.
    My other one which is a 16x20 is a whole other story. The model # YF-03 YF-08 YF-10 YF-14 YF-29 YF-34 YF -46. I thought ot was the fuse but actually the top wire on the fuse housing burned off. Is there anything you can recommend or possibly show me the a wiring diagram

    I always take a picture of how the wires go into the switch. But anyway what keeps happening to me on a very similar press is the switch keeps going bad I think I am on my fifth switch. When I bought it two of the wires were soldered into the switch so I had to deal with that but now after I press about five or six shirts the switch goes bad again so I have to keep buying switches. I have been told that the switches can't handle the amount of Watts or power that is coming through it but anyway for now I have to deal with it and I'm thinking about just buying a better press. I had another switch go bad again tonight and I can see where it's getting fried on one of the prongs I just keep buying the switches ahead of time so I have them on hand. Again I think I'm just going to buy a better quality press

    Hey so I think I have the same problem but I replaced it and it turns on for a couple secs and blows the fuse again.. i got 5amp fuse because apparently that's what was in there already? But the ones I got (not the ones you linked) keep blowing. So my question is what is the correct fuse? The ones in the link u provided say .5amp? Thank you

    • @brokefix-it276
      @brokefix-it276  Před 4 lety

      Hey Gabriel! The correct fuses to use for the machine in this video is 15A. It is 1800 watts. For some reason the link brings you to the .5A automatically instead of the 15A. You can send me your model number and I make sure you get the correct fuse if you’d like?

      My wife actually got a new heat press because the screen went out and I couldn’t find a new one anywhere! Then the new machine went out… 🤦🏼‍♂️ However, it was just the switch. I replaced it and all is good again. That could be your issue?

    Not to be a Karen bro, but I'm surprised you use a multi-meter and yet make statements like "make sure you know which cord goes where" referring to the two wires for the fuse holder. Seriously? It does not matter. It's a fuse holder. It is no different than just connecting the two wires to each other as far as current is concerned. Also, a loose cap will not cause the fuse to blow. It would simply cause a break in the circuit as if the fuse was blown or missing. I'm going to assume you don't know how electricity works. Well, at least you are not afraid to get in there and fix the thing. Kudos.
    These cheap heat presses draw a lot of current and cause these wires to get hot. Thus, melted wires and/or fuse holder. You may end up Higher gauge wire along with soldered connectors could help minimize this. Keep press on a dedicated 15 or higher amp service also. Have fun!

      Just responding for anyone else who comes here, but I was able to contact Power Press and they agreed to send the parts given my press was still fairly new. I still purchased parts in case it ever happens again, but just an FYI if this is what happened to yours as well. It is definitely what happened to mine!

      One final update: the parts listed have been changed on Amazon. The new fuse holders listed at that link do not fit the wires connections. 😢 I attempted to change out the fuse holder using the ones linked, and they do not look like the ones used in the video. I will have to wait for the parts from Power Press.
