Nonetheless, it's becoming less and less and they are more focusing on SJW stuff made for a minority. What made Old Vice was real raw stories, with incredible sources, taking cameras where cameras haven't been before, incredible important stories. Not necessarily edgy content, but conflicts that many don't think about, a new perspective on the mainstream narrative, neither left or right leaning, just pure curiosity driven journalism. Like said in the video, it wasn't in the mind to make a news story, more like, finding out what this whole thing was about. Which shows that they used to go into these places with an open unbiased mindset.
In the current world where both the left leaning media and the right leaning media is bought and payed for by billionaires and special interest groups, we need unbiased journalism that tries to show the truth.

@@KevinJames0800 actually, vice originally was a skate culture magazine. vice NEWS started on MTV, which is what he is talking about when making the gun markets of pakistan. it was always a source for alternative culture pieces. frankly, i don't get this whole "hysterical outrage" unless you just start cherrypicking articles and video. vice is like a ton of new media platforms where they typically don't have a singular voice but rather host the voice of many different people. they're journalists, not newscasters. and my point still stands, if you want vice news, why not go to the vice news channel? they still publish great stories there all the time.

Just watched your Guide to Iran and it seems like a return to the old VICE style journalism. Guerrilla style with small crews and in places most western media never goes. I hope you guys continue to push the boundaries and keep making content like this. It was sad for me to see you make more copycat style videos in the past few years and I really want a return to what make you unique. Never saw this particular documentary, but _Vice Guide to Travel_ was mind-blowing for me as a teenager.

Its probably because they never unsubscribed and the video thumbnail has a comment that most people agree with so they clicked on it. That's what happened with me. I don't watch anything they post unless its war shit. I saw the thumbnail and immediately clicked hoping they'd address it. They are not the same as they used to be. It's a shame.

I remember racing to American Apparel to hopefully get my hands on a copy. I was also one of the first 20 subscribers when Vice started delivering and among the first on Vice.TV. The only thing that Vice has in common with this new Vice is the name. I'm glad to see you guys got paid, but it hurts to watch my youth die.
I'm trying to remember what was so bold by comparison. There were the photos where they made fun of people. They called out bullshit, now they have some videos that are mindless entertainment that old vice would have clowned as shameless and self important, but that's today's youth cuture.

The problem is that when people say that they liked the "old vice" , what they mean is that vice used to cover very sensitive , very dangerous and the most unique topics that no other channel would , but that title seems to fade away since last year , some topics are pretty useless and nonsense , some are very common , some are not interesting....
