I have a story that could “possibly be the screams” or maybe something deeper. I live in Gainesville Georgia and it’s one of the main places bordering lake Lanier. There’s this Mexican legend know as “la llorona”. There’s many stories of la llorona and in multiple areas but originated in Mexico. So the story states that there was a mother that was driving with her kids on a bridge over a lake(lake Lanier) the mother was intoxicated with something don’t specifically know what but she was not in the right state to be driving. She has drove off the road with the car and kids in the car. They all ended up drowning and “la llorona” in English is “the cryer”. People say that when ever they driver on the bridge or at the lake they could hear a woman crying and even sometimes sayin “ay mis hijos” “oh my kids”. They say if you drive on the bridge and hear something tap the back of your car don’t look back or check the side windows. As a result if you do it she would haunt you and when ever you’re driving forward on the bridge it will feel as if you’re driving forever. I have family that has heard the llorona and that the llorona has wanted to take her kids because she had lost hers. And that really freaked me out.
And so older Mexican women and men get more spirituality things connected with them and my great grandmother had came from Mexico and spent the night at my cousins house. Her house had always been sketchy to me and she actually had a doll she sent to Mexico. That doll was “haunted”. Everyone believed it was haunted and that’s why they sent it over there. Even to this day whenever I go over there it Dosent feel safe. Whenever I slept over at their house I was watching tv and it will type something or do whatever with the tv and it will watch whatever it would want. My cousins will talk to it though and say stop it and things like that. So back to my great grandma, after she slept there for one night she confirmed she heard la llorona say “ay mis hijos” “oh my kids” and after that night she never wanted to go back.

I live in Georgia, Lake Lanier is genuinely not haunted AT ALL. I've been there during the fog, while it was raining, and even stayed there overnight. Also, btw the deaths that are there are legit bc people went swimming and scuba diving really deep, and since its a man made lake, there are a lot of tree roots beneath the surface. Just don't go swimming, because thats a hazard.

I’ve lived in Gainesville my whole life been in the lake so many times and the water is so dark and heavy I found out of all the stories like 2 years ago and I was suprised about what I’ve heard about the lake. And seeing you guys come here and explore I was so surprised because I’ve been watching since a long timeee. Theres the “worlds most haunted city” here in Savannah Georgia Sam and Colby came and explored it and I think y’all should come and see what’s it about would love to see that video 💪💪

Lake Lanier is lit 😂 definitely a fun place but there is debris in the water that can hurt you or you can get caught in so definitely don’t try n swim towards the bottom,
