The Torino was jealous of all the attention the Mustang has been getting, on the plus side, it is another great video showcasing your skill level when overcoming problems.
Thanks, these cars are what I enjoy the most.
@HotRodGuyGarage they are cool. Nice shape. Very similar to our Australian XA XB coupes
I'm looking forward to the next video.
Hopefully won't be too long
Those Torinos are a good looking car
I think so
Nice job, lots of luck at the strip man, looks like this thing is going to rip
Hopefully 🤞
That suspension travel sure feels nice on rough roads tho.
Good for the track also!
Yes it always a challenging task modification on a vehicle . Good information thanks
Thanks for the visit Moses
Thanks and just awesome.😎
Thanks for the visit 🐱
Good times Russ excellent work cheers 🥂 😊
Thanks for the visit Dave, hopefully I'll be ready to roll in a day or two

GOLLY,if some of the Ford boys did the right thing and gave a small donation for that $ save'n tip. You'd only be >>
Thanks gene
Another great video changing you automatic to manual. As usual, nothing fits without a little tweaking. Hope it works the way you want it to. Til next time have a great week
Thanks for the visit, I always expect some tweaking but when the price point is high I expect it to be minimal. Hope you have a good week also!
Way over my head, but 300 hp from a 6 is dope.
Hopefully it makes a big leap
You have good engineering sense, I'll give you that. Good job. I don't think I could have done what you did, IMO. All the best for your endeavor. I'm curious for the end result. Until next time! 👍
Thanks, sometimes you have to think about how to just make things work and try it
You really had to pull a rabbit out of your hat on this one, nice work.
You know it! Thanks
Wow; at all the small details involved in doing this AT to stick conversion....going back to the (former) hack job Mustang 'may' be a vacation
Definitely would had been easier back in the day when parts were cheap and everywhere
You're gonna rip that strip.
I hope it picks up like I think it will
I hope you had better luck than I did with a toploader behind a 300. I had a wide ratio in my 79. I could never get the rear end /vs transmission gearing right with the limited power band of the 300. They had a Mazda 5 speed in the late 80s that was a lot better, but I doubt it could handle the boost.
That's the thing with this setup it's got a power range comparable to a mild small block at this point so hopefully it will work out ok
@@HotRodGuyGarage what rear gear ?
@@primer50 3.25
@@HotRodGuyGarage 1/8 drag racing, right? There is a formula to calculate the rear end gear/ rpm desired at the trap, but for the life of me I can't remember. I assume it's going to be a much lower gear ratio if that's its intend purpose.
@@primer50 with the turbo it's about load we usually run 3.27-3.50 on turbo 1/8 cars
NICE!!
Thanks Skip
Bad as fuck ! I have a 70 Torino with the same six banger ! Time for a turbo !
You have a 300 in a torino? Cool
@@HotRodGuyGarage actually it's a 250
Thought about replacing a clutch myself, but would be skeert to death using a universal alignment tool.
They work pretty well for the most part
@@HotRodGuyGarage I am a human definition of not the most part.
@@garyrothwell4539 understandable
Okay, I am trying to figure it all out. You do work at your house and then you also have a separate shop you own ? I hate trying to work without a lift on a job like this.
I work on my personal stuff at home 95% of the time . Shop work pays bills but sometimes I have to devote some shop space if something like when the last video happened
I see you still have the power steering drag link on youre Torino with the Borgeson power eliminator drag link end. are you happy with how that works , i would like to do the same thing on my 67 Fairlane.
The key to the borgeson adapters is keep a skinny tire up front. It's not bad at all driving but is pretty heavy at slow speeds with a spooled rear end
@@HotRodGuyGarage thanks for the answer to my question but im not a big front tire kind of guy and i still have the one wheel peel in the rear so a heavy wheel should not be a problem for me....good luck with youre project hope it all works out for you.
@@robertquartier9379 I have borgeson adapter on my 66 Fairlane for three years now. I run a 215/60/15 on a 7" wheel. As long as you are moving its not too bad, in tight parking lots you will get a work out.
@@KenMollander Thanks Ken for the info but at 70 yrs old i have developed rubber arms so i think skinnies are the way to go
Are you going to install a line lock?
Yes, have one sitting here
3.25 axle w/ a 2.32 lst gear. Even in a 3000# car isnt that a little tall? Messed around w/ swapping out 3 and small snout 4spds along w/ Fmx and CIC trans, never encountered the reverse speedo drive gear.
@@alanwhite3280 Sometimes you work with what's there if it's too tall I have a 3.50 and a 4.11 gear but a turbo likes a tall gear (load) setup.
In a power glide setup with a 1.76 1st I've had no issues with a 3.27/3.55 combo.
The top loader uses a LH cut speedo gear vs a RH cut speedo gear for the auto/3spd
Were you Joe Dirt, on the Maverick/Comet forum?
You are correct
@@HotRodGuyGarage Nice! I, commented on your post, regularly. It's, been a while. Still, have my Maverick. You, built a Gapp&Roush tribute.
@@strokermaverick you are correct I had the turbo LS swapped Maverick and the gapp and roush taxi clone
@@HotRodGuyGarage I, think your LS swapped Maverick, ran 6:80's
@@strokermaverick at one time it went considerably faster later in
