It was very innovative for Square to have this kind of song and vocalization in one of their games, and hasn’t really been done much since then. FFX had Suteki Da Ne and it’s sequel had 1000 Words, in both Japanese AND English. Plus X2 had Real Emotion which really set the tone for a new Spira, right at the beginning of the game, to match and reflect on FFX’s equally exciting opening sequence with the heavy metal theme. They were both an invigorating breath of fresh air for the franchise.
I agree. but im glad they didnt try to repeat it. I feel the magic and music style suited ffx-2's theme and cast members. I love this song though.

Makes me sad because ff games always been emotional story lines up untill lighting returns 😞 but they don't do this kind of stuff anymore rarely should be treasured.
@@scottfrye and Melodies of Life! VIII to X-2 all had theme songs. Some worked better than others and X-2 was the peak I think. But they were all great in their own way.
In my opinion the only song that makes this a close second is I Will Be. I swear Final Fantasy as a whole has amazing music.
When you finish X-2 this will be the one playing at the end credits. Very nice song! Even the singer has her emotions tied up with the lyrics. For me this is the best OST for the series.

Koda's english version doesn't sound anything like this, believe me.
@@SpoiltLittlePrincess i prefer the English version much more. I had to rip it so i can add it to my music collection.
Koda Kumi sings the Japanese version of the songs. Jade Villalon from the band Sweetbox sings the English versions.
Will have to say both versions have unique appeal for different sets of audience. To me, I enjoy both
