Suburbs with a lot of houses built in the 50s probably a lot of similar looking doors but they are actually solid wood. Just something I considered watching this and dealing with armed intruders. Obviously there are even larger more decorative ones. Still entire neighborhoods a lot of the basic white doors that are solid blocks of wood with potential to lodge 9mm loads especially with any cover leading that. Big difference compared to the flimsy plywood.

@@jimmymcgill2557 Its a helo retention lanyard. Youd use it if you were doing heli borne ops, youd attach one end of the lanyard to a anchoring ring on the inside of the heli and the other end goes (usually) to a load-rated loop/d-ring on your belt so you dont go flying to your death

Just out of curiosity, why is that man’s PEQ behind his hand? I thought those were supposed to project IR/visible light and lasers out the front, is that intentional or is it just for comfort since the building is well lit?
It’s intentional. Lots of dudes run their lasers towards the rear on shorter barrels to allow for full arm extension while maintaining a C-clamp.
Most of these guys were active duty or still are. Night and Day is always inevitable. The Airsoft PEQ15 shoots a visible white light. This one is real and only has IR Laser/Illuminator, and a Visible Laser. And you are better running every bit of kit that is essential there and then, then when the time comes and you do not have itz
@@epilepsy_johnson Just have to be careful not to place hand in front of the emitter lest you bloom in your NVG's. (even if autogated) That's why elevated LAM mounts like GBRS Hydra help with that potential issue.
Thanks to Status of Forces agreements, sometimes you're required to have issued gear but not allowed to use it.
There's these new attachments called pressure switches that connect to PEQs and white lights; most guys will put it in front of the laster where their hand would sit in a full arm extension, they push the button and turn on their laser/light (there's multiple buttons usually) then turn it off quickly bc you don't want to have that stuff on the whole mission. I haven't gotten to play with them yet but I've been seeing a lot of SEALs/Rangers/SAS guys starting to run them.

You’ve all heard that you shouldn’t present the barrel through doorways. How do you improve your speed in entering rooms? If you’re entering with your gun down to not show the barrel, you’re creating risk. How do you manage that risk? If you have only one person entering at a time, and they go down, everyone else won’t know where the shots came from. At the same time, the doorway might be too narrow for two people. What are your speed drills like?

Interesting that some have GPNVG and others have duals. Is that a choice or just mixing old footage with new?
From books I’ve read in higher tier units guys can just pick and choose what they want. One book I read said some guys on the Bin Laden raid went with dual tubes instead of quads because the quads were still new and didn’t have a long track record compared to duals. It’s also possible that, if they’re anything like my old unit, the nicer stuff goes to the more senior guys and the newer guys get older, more run down equipment

Legit question. Why is it at 1:00 point man takes the corner instead of running the wall? Cornerfed and a target in the corner, why not run the wall and train a possible weapon away from second man? If he starts taking shots, now they're both probably getting hit and second cant do shit about it until he gets past 1. Is this mostly due to the "in-line" style im seeing here?
