- We bought a 2005 Yamaha Royal Star Venture XVZ 1300 TF. It's in bad shape because it was outside under a tarp for almost 11 years.
We are going to renovate this bike: new chrome, powder coat parts of the frame, new parts, new tyres and new colors: two tone red/black.
We post a new video every Tuesday at 8 pm. Hope you enjoy. Subscribe and hit the like button!
I love my 2005 it's been all over the US from coast to coast and into Canada great bike
It is!
I can't believe someone would let a bike like the RSV rot under a tarp for 11 years. At least, sell it and make someone happy with it!!! What a shame! Can't wait to see the next episodes...
Agreed. The owner had another bike and he drove that bike daily. Salty air isn't good for motorbikes.
Finally some great videos of metric renovations! 👍
Thanks :)
@@dutchglobetrotter6464 can u tell me how to change rear speakers on my 2004 RSV ? Cant find any information about it anywhere, will be highly appreciated 🙏🏻
@@lorenzzozipo6012 Hi Lorenzo, did you find the drawings of the RSV over here : www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-xvz1300tf-xvz1300tfc-royal-star-venture-2003-3-usa-california_model11216/partslist/#.YoAB7y-QlB1
Maybe this helps?
05 with pillow top seats, must be a Euro thing, US only got them in 06. I love these bikes, have had 3, am on a 2008 RSV right now, lovely bikes, so sad to see this beauty neglected.
Agreed. But slowly it wil; be a great bike again.
I'm on an '08, too. Love my RSV.
Royal Stars do not like to run when they are cold. Luckily they don't take more than a few seconds for the carb heaters to kick in. Be ready to use that choke (enrichener) when you start up.
Yes, we’ve experienced that already.
Here I am today Feb, 2nd 2022 and just now seeing this. Hope I can see the complete Renovation. I have the 07 XVZ 1300 TF and I love it.
It's a great bike and it will be like new. Low mileage and motor and gear are in top shape. Thanks for your replies!
My heart aches by the thought of leaving my Royal Star under a tarp for 11 years.
But the bike is in perfect shape again!
@@dutchglobetrotter6464 as it should be! Congratulations and thanks for restoring it.
Mooie klus.
:) Thanks!
Wondering if you know the part number for the rubber intake boots over the carbs?

Mine is a 2004, like to know where you buy your parts from. having trouble finding parts.
We bought some second hand parts in The Netherlands and in the USA. Lot of new parts came from Japen: www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-xvz1300tf-xvz1300tfc-royal-star-venture-2003-3-usa-california_model11216/partslist/#.YRvdDS2Qkk8
What a damn shame that the original owner allowed this beautiful bike to get into such a run-down condition.
But it's like new now!
who would let such a beautiful machine deteriorate to such a state? Total disrespect
The owner was very sick........
@@dutchglobetrotter6464 You did a phenomenal renovation. Amazing patience and talent. I'm doing a 1200. Thank you for the great videos.
Why?
Why not.........?
