I managed to survive an entire wipe without placing down a door anywhere on my base. It was definitely an interesting solo Rust challenge and had a great story along the way.

You read the title correct. I’m going to spend an entire wipe living out of a base that doesn’t have any doors. This not only makes it annoying to get in and out of for myself, but also makes it quite the confusing base to raid. The only way to get loot in and out of my base is by passing it through this tiny gap in the ceiling, committing f1, and respawning.

The people riding through must've thought it was a village of real brainiacs. The base with backwards walls, the squatty 4x4, and the base with no doors.
This gives me an amazing idea for a base, you could have an armored metal bunker like this with a disguise around it so they think it’s a regular base.

@@erixccjc2143 super inconvenient and nearly impossible to defend in an online. There arent enough layers of armor in the world for what some clans farm for explosives.
@@Boarderguy96 but you dont need to suicide every time. You can just build the core like that and make a regular base on top. You go offline, you transfer the loot. Just tested it on a build server and it aint that bad...
@@erixccjc2143 but why have a suicide bunker at all when theres very good methods for non-suicide bunkers that you can seal/unseal in a pinch, and are just as strong?
There's definitely a time and a place for a suicide bunker, but I tend to like them buried in honeycomb instead of my core.
That transition from jumping in the water to ending up in the underwater labs was sick and all the headshots on cargo made me think there was a glitch that was cool editing great job keep it up and on all your other videos you struggle a lot too I love your determination
oh lmao i played the same wipe, the N6 group is notorious for being super deep and dominating the server, my duo and i got mlrsd by them for stealing their heli lmao

this reminds me of a base that used to be popular before turrets got changed and electricity became a thing, where you'd build in a cave and put the door bucket side with a couple auto turrets, then honeycomb the other passage, only way to raid it was a weird glitch with logging off while falling and having enough bodies to run the turret dry. Thing is you'd have to suicide to get back in and jump to your death to depot. upkeep was nothing because only need one side walls and no roof in them.

Haven’t watched the whole thing yet but if you stick with just the two by two like you did in the beginning, you could create a bigger base. Almost like a 2x2 with a few floors, ladders up to the roof, with a single ladder hatch to get you off the roof and into cover, then the pixel peak so you can store loot. You could even do a small shooting floor on like the second to top floor to deal with possible raids easier. Then you have like 2/3 floors for storage, furnaces, boxes, etc etc that you can only get into if you spawn into your bag from the outside. Then you can upgrade the core to stronger walls, and increase the amount of honeycomb to make the base beefy and expensive to wall raid and impossible to door raid. Might even try that next wipe it seems super fun

I have been meaning to ask. Do you prefer monthly wipe servers, or weekly wipe servers? I would assume weekly for content reasons, as you can have a fresh wipe every week to make content on?
