    AMRITSARI FISH TIKKA RECIPE
    Preparation time: 15 Minutes
    Cooking time: 15 Minutes
    Serves: 4
    Ingredients
    First Marination
    500 gms Fish Fillet , sliced, फिश फिलेट
    Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार
    1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste, अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट
    ½ Lime Juice ,नीबू का रस
    1 tbsp Mustard Oil, सरसों का तेल
    1 tsp Kasuri Methi, Crushed, कसूरी मेथी
    ¼ tsp Asafoetida, हींग
    Second Marination
    1 tsp Degi Mirch Powder, देगी मिर्च पाउडर
    2 tbsp Curd, दही
    1 tbsp Rice Flour, चावल का आटा
    2 tbsp Gram Flour, बेसन
    ½ tsp Carom Seeds, अजवायन
    Oil for frying , तेल
    ½ tbsp Mustard Oil for fish tikka , सरसों का तेल
    For Garnish
    Onion rings, प्याज के छल्ले
    Lemon wedge, नींबू
    Coriander sprig, धनिया
    Process
    For Marination
    ● In a mixing bowl, add fish sliced, add salt to taste, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, mustard oil,
    kasuri methi, asafoetida mix everything well and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
    For second Marination
    ● In the same bowl, add degi mirch powder, curd, rice flour, gram flour, carom seeds mix
    everything well and set aside.
    ● Heat oil in a kadai, once its hot deep fry the marinated fish till nicely done.
    For Fish Tikka Satye
    ● Heat oil in a grill pan, skewer the marinated fish in a satye stick and grill nicely till crisp golden
    ● Drain and place on a absorbed paper.
    ● Garnish with onion rings, lemon wedge and coriander sprig.

    Hi chef! Most people in Lahore don’t even know that people eat meat on the other side of the border.
    People have lost all memory of how things used to be pre-partition.
    Also, I’ve observed that Indians tend to use powered spices more and Pakistanis prefer whole spices. Condiments like ginger, garlic and green chillies play a very important role in Pakistani cooking.
    In the last 70 years, Pakistani punjabi cooking has been deeply influenced by pashtun and baluch cooking styles and recepies.

      You are true, bhatti ji, you are rajput, so iam. But you know who you are. But maximum pakistani or indian muslims are converted from such caste so they want to hide. They try to connect from outer world such they say they are from afghanistan, Iraq, Iran Arab, turkey actually they were from india or pakistan. They show as their ansistor were from afghanistan so they cook afgan or Irani food. Such as Quraishi, Saifi etc you know and i know belong to which caste. They left their own food desi kahana bajre ki roti, makke ki rotiyan, lal manss, etc. Soon you will find they will say We are from Arab and soon you will see then grilling camels in their house and they will start living in big tents. 😂

      There is no such thing as Pakistani cooking. It is Punjabi or North Indian cooking. Pakistan is a fictitious make believe country. We eat Jhatka meat and the meat that you eat is prepared in Arabian way so called "Halal", which is to release negative hormones of an animal by killing slowly as oppose to very fast as we do.

    I made this recipe today with Basa fish fillets. I used basa fish for the first time. But about the taste, of the recipe, you have to make sure you marinate the fish for at least 30 to 60 minutes. The fish tasted great when I ate it after 6 hours of cooking. Especially the flavour of kasturi methi and hing got enhanced. The dish is one of its own kind. Most important is to follow the secret ingredient and steps that Ranveer shared. I have read that basa is not great for your health as it has chances of contamination at the place where it is grown. So please consider having this fish only once in a while.

    its really good how u speak or describe everything with a story , i have seen ur old videos n now its a drastic change how you treat viewers , its superb , never change that, just a request u can tell us about food which can be mixed or not or if it is myth then u can break it.... like curd or lemon cannot be used with prawns or any sea food(myth or not).

    Yaar Ranvir, ab nz mein mithe paani ki fish kahan se laaun, dikkat yeh aa rahi hai. Chandigarh mein ek 40 sector mein amritsari fish banda banata tha, kamaal ki, uski yaad aa gayi pardes mein. Very nicely Ravi and fish, Lahore and Amritsar explained, people from both side of the river are dying to hug you. You have taken my heart. Luv you.
