I just finished my 5 day fast a couple of days ago, & the fourth day was the hardest for me. I was super hungry lol. I pushed through though, & really proud of myself for sticking it out. I lost 10 lbs in the process. Will definitely be doing another 5 day fast in August. Great tips in this video. Thank you!😊

Lol. Ive been struggling to go on a water fast for a total of 2.5 weeks. Its a trial and error. Ive learned why I failed and took note of it. I have not fasted since 2012 and this is 2020. I refused to fail again and am 1 day into it. Water fasting is so fucking hard. It takes a great deal of discipline.
@@Nightwish9991 Absolutely. It is such a test of disciple on the mind, body and spirit. I'm on day 5 heading to day 6 in 2 hours... ( 4th time doing this ) The most important thing is, listen to your body, if you see you are not in danger, then keep pushing through, your body will adjust and fix everything it needs to. It's 1 of the most amazing things I've ever come across.

I completed my 3 out of 5 days successfully but till now lost only 4 lbs in first two days... and on third day I haven't lost any weight....i am feeling down for slow progress ....anyway 2 days more to go... let's see what happens....
Edit: 4 more hours to complete my 5th day....actually I am loving it... after day 3rd struggle Is reduced and I am very comfortable with it.....I have reduced almost 5lbs more.... in total 9 lbs in 5 days.... I am feeling happy now... I love to extend it for 5 more days🙃
Try making it a monthly habit to do a 5 day. I’ve done 7 in a row this year and the small deep body healing accumulation is amazing.

This is the best video on this subject I've seen. Very well put together. All my questions answered in a great way. Not to fast, not to slow. I'm half way through in a very pleasant manner of dialogue and I'm in day two, which is really encouraging. Often times people bog down in minutia and it causes loss of interest. Very enlightening this is just what I was looking for today is number. 5 for I have lost about 14 lbs Everything mentioned in process of starting I experienced the worst was the tongue thing I hate a white tongue and bare. My 3rd and fourth day were hard only because my husband was cooking crazy delicious-smelling meals Not to mention this was my first time. I was fat adapted, started a 4 day fast. Easy peasy. Day 3 glucose 71, ketones 6, 2 lbs lost. Hoping for more weight loss, but I know i'm healing inside. It's all good. I did have some homemade chicken broth/beef bullion.

I'm on day for of 5 days fasting and everything is going on pretty well. I decided to do water fast at least four days every week for six weeks because I have a lot to lose; everything has been okay, I've experienced some tiredness, the past two weeks have been great because I decided to take only water because I was having coffee and green tea and my I reacted to them.

If you are doing the good mushrooms for a supplement during a fast, do very small amounts. They are fiber carbs and may stop the autophagy and stem cell release.

I found by the third day of my water fasting my heartbeat was beating faster , at least i thought so.. When tested with a blood pressure / heart rate monitor they found everything was normal .. Its like i'm aware of my heartbeat and it feels louder (almost like a heart palpatation , but it's not im told ) and slightly uncomfortable especially when sleeping..Once im tired enough though i go to sleep and wake up normal.. im on my 5th day now water fasting and still feel that same sensation.
I am drinking enough water, but any ideas why this might be happening?
Plenty of water and take a small pinch of salt two to three times a day.
MrOzgooner it’s your low electrolytes. Low potassium. I put potassium citrate powder and sea salt in my water and feeling great. Drinking a lot of water will wash out your electrolytes and and water double vitamins

Currently doing a 5 day water fast I’m about 7.5-8 hours into it… doing it because I’ve been binge eating have gained some fat so my skin has broken out lot of blackheads from eating too much sugar and gotten carried away. wish me luck

everytime I am on water fasting my breath is terrible I feel my teeth are slimmy,I dont sweet laterally felt cold during night time.My longest was 18 days last year.The actual plan was 21 but I was tempted. What do you think of doing a four day fast every two weeks? I already have significant hair loss from stress, poor nutrition, and a thyroid issue. I am afraid a long fast would amplify that . Yet I know a fast could help me with weightloss but more importantly elevate autophagy and release stem cells. Would a twice a month shorter fast equal a long one?
It wont equal it but you will get massive benefits from 4 days still. I saw something the other day indicating hairloss during fasting can be related to heavy metal toxicity. Might be worth looking into. I have seen lots of cases where people lose hair but then when it grows back it better quality, healthier hair so obviously can be a tough one for some ppl but maybe worth losing hair to increase health more longterm. A very individual choice though.
Once a month would be good. Are you underweight? do you have appropriate support with your thyroid?

I take armor psi road but I have noticed no change in my health since starting line it I'm still overweight horribly fatigued hair continuing to fall out. 40 pounds and the hair loss came since my elderly parents moved in with me . Looking to resolve that situation and the next several months.

Day 4 of 5 for me. Had a weird pain behind both of my eyes today - kind of like a small cramp. And the other weird thing is gas - how can I get gas if there is no food in my body? Weird.

Today I start my 7th monthly 5 day fast in a row at dinner time.
The small healing improvements are astonishing.
I prepare by stopping by the Country faucet water store in Justin TX to pick up a freshly purified 5 gallons of water that has no fluoride, chlorine, or other chemicals in it.
Drink water only when thirsty and to keep your body hydrated. Don’t over drink so my body can properly self balance my electrolytes.
I only drink water for 5 days. No food or anything for 5 days.
I finish my fast at the same time I finished my last meal 5 days earlier with fresh Organic Blueberries 🫐 I eat the whole container. I wait 30min-1hr for my body to adjust to that meal of blueberries which kick starts my bowels and digestive juices and stomach lining to get ready to eat food again and then I eat a normal dinner portion of whatever meal I want.
Then I go to sleep and wake up and eat my normal 1-3 meals depending on how busy/hungry I am for the rest of the month until the last day of the month when I start my next monthly 5 day fast.
The body can do deep healing each month if you give it a chance to switch into autophagy which happens at a heightened stated between day 3-5… Stem Cell and HGH production skyrocket during day 3-5…

I wonder if my hair would have thinned in the center as it has, if my hair would have gone grey on the edges of my side burns as it has, if my weight would have stayed at 190 vs going as high as 225, if my if my Achilles tendon would have never popped at age 35, if my testosterone and thyroid would have stayed at their optimal levels. Well I’m 42 now, married with 7 kids. I’m in construction as a roofer/ PM. Last year in 2022 I did 3 of these 5 day fast and knew each time that my body was so happy I did this.
The 1st one I did on day 4 a sinus pollup dislodged out of my sinuses. It had a drill bit hole through the middle of it from a surgery I had had when I was 24yrs old as a college student. That was the craziest thing to me and a true testament that the body cleans out and heals the body when doing prolonged fasting.
I work my normal schedule when I fast. The only change in my life during the 5 days is that I only drink water.
After doing this 3 times in 2022 I decided to make this a monthly investment into my health.
I’m on day 3 of my 7th 5 day fast this year. I have felt the desire to go longer but I want to keep this habit and tell my body moderation. You can wait till next month to do another 5 day fast. Weight wise I’ve averaged 1.8-2lbs of weight loss. I measure this based upon my starting weight of my fast. But by body strength and composition has continued to change each month.
I’m planning on doing blood work soon.
I committed to doing this for all 12 months in 2023. But honestly I think at the end of the year I will continue to invest in my health each month like this for ever.
It will be July 4th tomorrow and I’ll have my water as the family enjoys a barbecue.
I don’t count calories or macros during the month I just eat when I want as much as I want. Some days 3 meals, some days 2, some days 1 meal. There are no rules other than listen to my body and don’t force feed it. But chow down when I want to chow down.
My bowel movements are now perfect throughout the month, a hemroid is completely gone, the swelling and pain in my right knee is completely healed, old scars seem t be going away, my skin is tighter and more tone, my joints never hurt. Just ran with my 13yr old daughter last week for the 1st time ever and did a mile just under 8 min with no pains anywhere. I can now suck in my stomach and grab my rib cage so I know now that my accumulated fat around my organs is gone or significantly decreased.
I'm on my 6 day and I feel great other than my energy level but my mind is clear

Just finished a 5 day water fast (my 3rd in the past 18 mo). By day 4 I was having bad lower back pain and thought is was an old back injury so I gutted through it. Now I believe it was my kidneys since it faded by day 3 post-fast. Not sure what that means - should I have stopped or continued on longer. Also, unlike past fasts, I never felt good during this fast - I was sluggish throughout. I put salt in my water and did have bone broth 3x during the fast, could that have affect the outcome?
Yes every fast can be different. Typically pain like this is a sign your body is breaking down bad cells and scar tissue and rebuilding new stem cells in areas that have been injured in the past. It is quite possible that your body was working on healing your kidneys.

One thing I would like to know.. I am taking 5mg prednisone for chronic inflammation caused by untreated infection i was on higher dose 60mg 7 months ago then tempered down every 15 days. I started OMAD, 23/1 intermittent fasting for now 15 days going amazing and it s decreasing my inflammation and pain, a miracle. Now I want to try 3 days to 5 days water fast once a month, can I still do it even if Im taking 5mg prednisone?

Can 4-5 days water fasting help me with my autoimmune chronic disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis? And if it can, how often shoul i do this fast?
Btw, i was a bodybuilder and i used to do Calisthenics. But now i'm 'resting' since almost a year due to my bad joint pains. I would really love to restart my trainings, it's everything for me and it makes me feel alive. I just CAN'T move so much, somedays not even a little to do some exercises. My heart always beats fast and loudly - like pounding. I don't think that's the same as palpitations - should I stop the fast when this happens? Also - is Redmond Earth Salt ok?

Hi Dr David Jockers, I am starting hopefully a five day fast tomorrow, to lose weight, and clean out my system from all the unhealthy food I've been eating, although I am vegetarian. I did a month of one meal every 24 hours and once 48 hours about 7 months ago. Not sure if five days is going to be harder than I think. Hello Simon, yes you have to be careful not to over fast and doing too much activity, coupled with fasting can be problematic.

I'm hypoglycemic and it's really hard for me to fast. I can do a 1 day fast but after that I get terribly weak.

I’m trying to get rid of my acne and fat I weigh 59.7 kgs trying to get down to 50kgs by 2 weeks because I’m gonna fast for 1 well have a break where I eat soup or broth then I will carry on fasting so I can enjoy myself at turkey then I will fast again to lose the weight

Yes!! I too take diatomaceous earth and iodine. I also take selenium at night (it's a cofactor to iodine) you'll still have full fasting effects while taking these plus quicker detox
I get a very runny nose and a headache for first few days, clear sign of detox 👍
After day 3 I add a pinch of himalayan salt under the tongue whenever weakness, dizziness, or heart palpitations come on and it goes almost immediately

This is a late reply, but whoever is reading this, just keep in mind that the more we drink, we flush out those ketones in our urine. If you are fasting you are still in ketosis regardless of the strip reading.

im a smoker, 15-18 cigs a day , I've done two two day water fasts, first was difficult, second easy, nothing but black coffee water and sea salt. is it safe to do a three day water fast? a five day? what about a 1-5 day dry fast? Also is it ok to work out during a fast? Thank you

Definitely ok to work out during a fast!
Any high-intensity workout, for that matter. High intensity interval training and resistance training while fasting can ramp up autophagy, stimulate fat burning and improve mood and mental focus. Fasting and exercise both create an environment of stress for the body. That might not sound very appealing in theory, but intermittent doses of that stress can help with weight loss and improve mental clarity.
What about antidepressants and sleeping tablets?
If you need them, you can take them during a fast.

What kind a healing should the human body experience with a 40 day water fasting? Any tips for this many days? Thank you
You definitely need some potassium and magnesium and sodium. Some people buy a tub of magnesium salt and sprinkle in water. I often just eat a little bowl of steamed vegetables/ soup or some pickles. Technically it breaks the fast, but the effect of a few vegetables is negligible and prevents the much worse risk of heart attack/ stroke/ brain damage, which is a serious risk and there is history of this occurring. Sometimes if I have nothing else I have even been known to eat a banana during a fast. My general advice is don’t be hard with yourself. Don’t be macho at the expense of your health. If your body truly tells you something, listen.

You might be surprised at your mental clarity!
Day 4 onwards I get INSANE mental clarity. Its fun to watch quiz shows with the family at that time because I answer at lightening speed and the rest of the family's jaws drop haha
If you are plant based can you use bone broth? Always should we drink Alkaline water or Smart water with electrolytes?

I have been a heavy drinker in the past, and a CDSA test showed elevated cholesterol in the stool so I would say lack of bile/sluggish liver function- I have rather low energy, can run rarely. Stomach acid production also seems lacking, I'm taking organic ACV, enzymes and betaine HCl supplements before/with meals. Just the betaine HCl supplementation alone has helped reduce rectal itching which I've had for many months. Diet is pretty clean, drink plenty of pure water. I'm hoping this will just correct itself..

It can happen for some folks. No fiber to help with a typical stool, only liquid!

It was super challenging, I felt at times out of it clarity wise and yet and euphoric. I’m going to try for 72 hours tomorrow and this time, plan to ride out whatever feelings I’m experiencing. I really wanna fast for Losing weight purposes how much BF% can I lose in 7 days ? Am around 15-16 BF%

J L oh don’t worry bout hungry after day 3 I wasn’t hungry at all but I had to break due to my mother she found out and she’s Mexican so I did for her she wouldn’t stop telling me stuff lol but you keep goin bro I felt great besides that just make sure you having potassium and pink Himalayan salt in you water

Started my 7 day fast on 48 hour
M taking my iron supplement n other medicines so took a fat coffee so they r absorbed n won’t get my tummy upset . Going smooth walked my dogs did basic squats n other exercises.
Dr mrunalinni Keto doctor this video is about water fasting. I don’t think drinking coffee would be acceptable...
I guess a true water fast wouldn't contain coffee or a fat coffee!

Dont do plain water.it will wash away your electrolytes.make sure u get your electrolytes or u will suffer headache.
Take a vitamin, pink sea salt, electrolytes in water. For myself, I discovered Core Hydration water Ph balanced with electrolytes kept me from being thirsty. I still drank up to a gallon a day. Lasted 21 days for the first fast, then 3, then 2.5, now about 6 hours from day 5 complete. But I love food, I am an over the road truck driver so I am blasted with food places, billboards, etc. I think I am going to break my fast, not so much because of hunger, but love of eating. (We are so weak sometimes.)
I use No Salt in the water too, it's a potassium.
