Yes, the Winchester house is said the be the strangest house in the world, but we have seen that featured on Discovery Channel many times. I have never seen this one before. As for not being shown until the end: it is easy to skip ahead on the video if you want to. Thank you Adam for showing this lesser know attraction.

Yes, I know about the Winchester house, who doesn't? Q: Where is this one located, again? It s quite beautiful,...! I love every thing Victorian,..! Do you know what Steam Punk, Is? I had a very, bad day today,..! The day from, hell, actually,..! I am simply tired of people, telling me, what I am unable to say,...! There s a little thing, called the first amendment,..! The knee doctor that took me, 2 months to find,.. my called me, 10 minutes, prior to my appointment, and stated, that the entire office, is no longer covered by my insurance,...! By then, I was in extreme pain and agony,..! Watching video s like this takes my mind, off, of my major problems, for at least a little, while,...!

That was pretty cool!! I think the key to this place is that he was an architect. I suspect this was kind of his "sample portfolio", where he could show clients features they might want in their own homes he was designing. Kind of like those carpet sample books where you look at different colors and patterns to pick out what you want, but built into a house so you could see the example in "3-D", even if sometimes in a miniature scale.

Different areas in the US are different. My father was military and we moved all over. Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, California, and they are all different. Different local cultures. I went to college in New Mexico and after graduation I went to NYC for a job interview. I spent about a week there and I hated it. It felt like a totally different country to me. lol In the job interview they more or less asked if I would help with studies to illustrate the effectiveness of the Mayors crime policies. lol They were all but flat out asking if I was okay producing junk science. lol Anyways, if you do visit, keep in mind that NYC is an entity of it's own. It does not give you the feel of the US. It's certainly worth a visit, it just doesn't represent the US. NYC is NYC, it's very different than other parts of the country. Different states have a different flavor to them. NYC is an entirely different restaurant. :)

Awesome building! The style of architecture of this building and the Empire State building as well as the Chrysler building and Radio City Music Hall in NYC is called "ART DECO"! There is also art deco jewelry for women and cosmetic cases..it was very popular during the 1920s and 30s into the 40s and is still around today! The designs were very angular and geometric! Great video...thanks for sharing!

I live just about 3 miles from this house. If you ever get the chance to go there, don't miss it. There are so many things there not shown in the video that you would find fascinating. Not that they didn't do a great job on this video, but there are just so many little bits and pieces of interesting pieces of history there. If you can go at Christmas time, you would be amazed at all the beauty. Every room is decorated by a different person or group. So beautiful!
