bingo! there it is! these are the trucks some buddies of mine talked about 15 or 20 yrs ago settin round on the job steam cleanin... of course they didn't know how to pronounce the name but ive looked and looked and could never come up with anything on em.they talked about cleaning them for a company branham&baker here in eastern ky. they were blue like the old hual pak stuff you've filmed before. you need to contact coal mac in west virgina and set up some dates to film some of there stuff...they used to have several good spreads up there. I bet you wont find 80,000hrs on 3 of todays modern trucks combined...absolutely love this kinda old stuff...you've made my day!

A lot of the equipment that comes to work in PA surface coal mines comes from WV. I filmed 995 and the 252's. They will be coming up in documentaries in the future. That 995 is likely to be one of very few units shipped to the United States! That machine originally started work in Minnesota before being moved to KY.
Remember some advertising in the back cover of a mining magazine about this brand. The advertise didn't have any technical Info about the truck, just said some short sentence ( slogan perhaps) and the name: Wiseda. Also included a contact address in Australia...that's why I always thought it was Australian brand....
I worked on a rebuild program for 21 of these trucks in Western Australia in 2004/5 The trucks came from the ''boneyard '' [ scrap ] on an Iron Ore mine at Mt Newman WA where at the time of their operation they were the biggest haulers in Australia at 240 tons. These rebuilt units went to Indonesia. Many more still remain in operation throughout Australia mostly in the coal fields and we all know them as WISEDA the ONLY name for these beauty's
To '' enginemodify'' & MrThisIsMeToo and otherwatchers,..You are correct, Air and hydraulic powered heavy service tools, and others units called ''torque multipliers '' as well as mobile and overhead cranes depending on where your working, also lots of pallets and forklifts. The work is fairly straight forward and after the '' big main stuff ''comes off ,then mechanics everyday hand tools take care of the rest..........cheers
Great documentary on a great truck, thanks. Sigh, someone put a lot of work into restoring that machine for display. It looks like it might have even still run when it was put there. But it is depressing seeing the tires going flat, the air(?) pipe disconnected on the prime mover, the cleanout port open on the bottom of the filter canister, etc. It makes me wish some local garage mechanic would volunteer an hour to take his truck out and pump up the tires and close up some of the openings that shouldn't be open.

In recent years, I have tried to slow down my speed of talking and pronounce all words very promptly and clearly so people internationally can understand. Demag's were manufactured in Dusseldorf and O&K's were built in Dortmund. And yes, Caterpillar acquired Bucyrus in 2011. Greetings from Pennsylvania!
I hate to say this, but this truck was scrapped out in the fall of 2015, the ground it is sitting on is going to be mined in 2 years they are really routing highway 53 to candy because of this.
