One big benefit with Chromebook is that you don’t need to use Windows apps. Start a Windows computer and the problems start at the same time… I don’t have time for that.
I have mentioned this before, but it’s what can happen with Office. A customer sent me an Excel file. Then there was som changes, so she sent a new file with “new” in the name. Then there was even more changes so she sent me a third file called “newest”…. In our business we cooperate in the file, we don’t send them by email.

I agree, one of the biggest benefits of using a Chromebook is that you don't need to use Windows apps. Windows can be a bit of a hassle to start up and use, especially if you're not a power user. Chromebooks are much more lightweight and easy to use, and they don't require any special software to be installed.
I can also see how the file sharing issue with Excel could be a problem. If you're collaborating on a file with someone, it's much easier to just share the file in Google Drive and make changes in real time. That way, you don't have to worry about sending multiple versions of the file back and forth.

2:34 Very good observation. I (unfortunately) provide support to Windows centric companies where users workflow is too many times disrupted by Windows messy way to update and fail. I also tend to use the online Microsoft Office 365 solution that takes away so much hassle and tends to behave like Google Apps. For a Chromebook user having to collaborate with Windows desktop apps i advise to use the Office 365 web suite and all compatibility and sharing issues will be gone.

Fully agree. ChromeOS is the way to go when possible. New companies are easier so you can typically focus on web apps instead of legacy apps that require servers which is becoming less and less.

Love this! I fully agree! Sadly, most of the companies that I work with (I work for a MSP), they all use applications. :(
I myself use the web versions and people I work with are confused when they have to look at it.

A Chromebook can be a great choice for you if you are looking for a device that is affordable, lightweight, and easy to use. It is perfect for browsing the web, checking email, using social media, and working on documents. Additionally, some Chromebooks can now run Google Play Store games, so you can also use it for casual gaming.

Very good video. I have noticed that Microsoft & Windows are slowly moving towards a more web based clients for their Apps etc. Or to just offer the same experience on the web. I myself is moving slowly to more web based for what i do, Chrome OS & Chromebooks are looking more & more promising as they get better & better.

I actually think Chrome OS/Flex is excellent for the points you just stated. My experience in industry has been the hardware. It's either underpowered and poorly built at the budget end, terrible Celeron or mobile processors. Or extremely overpriced, Apple like bumps in price for more RAM, i5 processors in a Chromebook are treated as if they were worth gold.
Having said that, our company has found a sweet spot running entry level thinkpads on Chrome OS Flex. It's a little niche but a great option.

Glad to hear that you've found a sweet spot. This is a great option for businesses that are looking for a reliable and affordable way to deploy laptops to their employees.

What I love about Chrome OS is if you somehow unable to use your own chromebook and have to use another chromebook you just log in with your account on that other chromebook and voila! Your installed apps are there, your settings, wallpaper, are there too as if you use your own chromebook, there's no need to re-install everything.

Fully agree ChromeOS is a great solution for companies, and even if they need some Windows applications, the new VDI offer integrated into ChromeOS is super easy to deploy ;-)

A lot of people are so stuck to Microsoft Windows and Microft Office. And i hate people who use these dinosaurs and refusing to use something else and send documents by mail. We are living in 2023 where we work in the cloud. I have shifted to Google Docs and Google Sheets years ago. And i refuse to bend for Microsoft products.
