Hi Danielle, you found some nice items. I’m pretty sure the tray with the tree is for meat and the tree is where the juice from the meat goes. The wooden box was for pipes and tobacco.
I cried about the Bible. What a wonderful world it would be if everyone loved God’s Word like that. The tablecloth is gorgeous and the lamp shade.
That box is a pipe holder
Oh duh! Thank you, I would have never known!
That box looks like a humidor where you can hang pipes on each side.
and Mrs T Really good finds well done , loved the tablecloth and the lampshade.
The lamp shade was a find. I have a hand, and I stuck a Valentine pick in the hole. I love finding young people on CZcams that enjoy decorating with thrift finds.
Danielle as someone else said that one tray is for meat so it can drain the juices and the other one is a pipe and tobacco box. The sailboat plates are beautiful 💙 I love the inkwell too. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
That Bible is precious and I love the fact that you buy them! I’m going to do the same thing when I find them! ❤
Hi. I love the idea of your old Bible collection. I have my grandmother's Bible that her dad, my great grandfather gave her. He is so unique. It's black with a zipper closure and a metal cross as a pull to unzip the Bible. It's also has my grandmother's name written by her on the belongs to page and given by her Daddy. Very special to me. My mother had it and when she passed away, I got it! Such a precious treasure. I hope you are blest with a great week. From Texas
Yes, yes, yes to the milkglass pedestal !
That tablecloth is gorgeous on your dining room table!
You make me smile and you bring back so many memories of my childhood. You have wonderful taste. Thank you for sharing.
I love the loved Bible also...thank you for rescuing God's word.
I collect old Bibles as well from thrift stores..I LOVE when there's writing in them.
Your hair looks gorgeous today😊
Such great finds love the lampshade! A Bible that is falling apart usually belongs to someone who’s not…
I love that!
the piece you loved is what is known as a secretary desk, They were used in libraries or an office for books, what nots, then you could sit at the drop down and write letters or pay bills. I have one similar and we have owned it since 1990 . A chiffarobe would have had a clothes rail and a solid wooden door, it also had a door that you could keep hats in and would have maybe 3 doors under the hat compartment...
The boat plates were lovely, and the white tablecloth, stunning! That well- used Bible looked like a real treasure!
I think it’s called Capiz shell. Love the ink well, beautiful! It will be antique one day 😉
Yes, that’s the word I was looking for! Thank you.
I just rescued my first vintage Bible! 1952. Pilgrim edition. You inspired me, I have it with my moms vintage psalm book. As I watch your video I see you need little cabinet behind you and it’s just beautiful! Great thrifting!!!
I sooooo like your bible display! Keep reading them!!!!
Lovely tablecloth!!!
Shade is sooooo pretty!!!!
Your lampshade looks like Capiz Shell. It's beautiful!
It is a Larkin desk. Chiffarobe has a dresser and closet merged. Larkin has desk and display cabinet.
Pretty cool treasures, Danielle; the table cloth is 😍😍😍😍
The bible is my favorite!!😍😍😍
Intro was hilarious lol!
Your lamp shade is capiz shell. The wooden box type object you found at the thrift store you thought was for utensils is actually to hold pipes and a humidor to store tobacco in the box part. Great finds! Love the ship plates!
We call ours a writing desk. We’re the third generation to have it in our home. 🥰your channel
That Bible is a gem and a treasure. Love that.
The wooden box is a tobacco humidor and the holes on the side are for pipes
I love your vintage bibles
Liked your finds, especially the ink well and lamp shade.
Hi Danielle! I enjoy your channel (and finds) so much! 😊 I am a treasure hunter as well, and appreciate you “rescuing” vintage Bibles! I do the same, and have the same “struggles” you do, too! Lol! It’s okay… Anyways, I love the pearly lampshade you found. Honestly, I think it would look great on the vintage piece in the corner of the room behind you, in the room that you recorded this video in. I agree - I think an ornate brass like lamp stand would be perfect for that lamp shade. Thank you for doing these videos. They are wholesome entertainment, and provide some really great ideas too! God bless you and Thank you very much!!!!
Hi Danielle! You found some really nice things!!!!Im a senior lady but I love vintage as well as French Country and some farmhouse!!! Cant wait to see more!Have a good weekend!😊
The wooden box you saw was a tobacco humidor. The holds on either side were to hold you smoking pipes.
The silver tray with the tree in the center is a meat serving tray. The tree is to catch meat drippings.
Hello! Your wooden box is a pipe box and the footed silver tray is a meat platter and the grooves are to catch the meat’s juices.
What a beautiful lampshade ❤❤
Great finds 👍🏼
Capiz shell
I use cake stands as pedestals for other things. The white ones are popular because things with color POP.
You find the Best treasures! I think the lampshade is made of Capiz shell? Loved the bag of pins!
The tablecloth is gorgeous! I love the china hand...Adorable!! Great haul!
Loved the tablecloth!
I also love the lace tablecloth, and lampshade! My Grandmother had an antique 2 sided secretary like the one you saw...she called hers a chifferobe, because the door side had a rod to hang clothes. Most double secretaries have book shelves behind the door.
She used the drop down desk as a vanity, since it also had a mirror. I just wish I knew what happened to it after she passed!
Great video as usual!
Your videos just keep getting better and better!
box is a "humidor" to keep cigars and loose tobacco fresh - holes on the sides are to store pipes. small oil lamp holder is for the smaller oil lamps
Great finds! I believe the lamp shade is capiz. Thank you for sharing!
The brass tray was a meat platter. The tree design catches the drippings.
Oh interesting! Thanks!
Most often used for steak
You could put a lot of your smalls in a shadow box. Like the button covers etc.
I believe the sailboat plates are Fitz and Floyd, with the FF mark.
I just found your site and LOVE all that you do. I just love that you are young and collect what you do. The lace and dark wood and silver are all so beautiful, but often go unappreciated now. I especially LOVE your collection of old Bibles--never have I thought of doing that, but you have inspired me to be on the lookout. I have a couple of my own that are just hiding in a closet--for shame on me. Another comment below said she collected WHITE Bibles--would love to see a picture of those. Thanks again--I am going to be trying to catch up on all of your videos!
I would use Old English on the wooden oil light hanger to make it darker.
You found some wonderful treasures. I just love your vintage Bible collection. I came across your testimony lately and found it very inspiring. God bless!
Thank you so much!
Hi Danielle, the piece of furniture that you thought was a chifferobe is actually called a secretary because of the piece that folds down and makes a small desk. I have one that my mother gave me. I love it! I hope you can find a nice one someday too! I loved the tablecloth and lamp shade that you found!
For the horse pins, you could probably pin them on the inside of your suitcases with your antique photos, and it will go with the horse theme hat on the wall above it and you could make that like a horse/equestrian themed vignette. Or you could also make a ribbon bookmark (could use black or any color ribbon) and pin those on there and stick them into that little silver trophy you have too! Also those sailboat plate paintings would look cute in a bathroom too! The lamp shade and Bible are lovely! I enjoy collecting antique Bibles and Hymnals as well!
I absolutely love that tablecloth you found. I recently went into a thrift store where religious materials are free and ended up bringing home a vintage 1940's bible. Hope you find the right lamp for that beautiful shade.
I can’t believe that lamp shade isn’t broke!
Danielle, great haul. The wooden box is a tobacco box and the holes held the pipes, awesome piece I collect old vintage/antique pipes, humidors and tobacco tins. Love the table cloth so beautiful. Yes, I would have picked up the milk glass cake stand beautiful and great price too. Love your vintage collection of old Bibles 😍. 💜💜💜
Thank you for watching!
I love every one of your finds!
Capiz shell. Also called window pane oyster.
Fantastic finds Danielle loved the furniture today. Hope your going well sending hugs. Thank you for the lovely video ❤
Such great finds! I always enjoy your videos!! 🤍
I hope you find the perfect little brass lamp for that shade. It is absolutely gorgeous.
The wooden box with holes on the sides is for pipes and pipe tobacco. Each pipe stands in a whole.
Wow !!! I love all your finds Danielle. The ink well is gorgeous. The little white hand stick-pin holder is adorable. That tablecloth 😍 and for only $7 - it looks beautiful on your dining table. Love that you collect vintage Bibles🤍 That lamp shade is stunning 🤩 Thanks for sharing your beautiful thrifted treasures with us 🤍
Thank you so much!
Someone probably already said it, but if not, the wood box piece is a pipe stand with tobacco storage. The lampshade is made of capiz shell. Too bad it has broken pieces. They're pretty fragile. It's still really nice.
Don't you just love to see a loved Bible!! That basket and lampshade! 😍 Really good finds. You are such a pretty lady Danielle. You are just glowing in today's video. Blessings! 🙏
Thank you so much!
I glue magnets on button covers : then you can put them on anything metal
Wow. That set of furniture. Gorgeous!!!!
I think the that little wooden box with the holes on the side would hold smoking pipes and the box would hold the tobacco. I’m not sure. But I think my great grandfather had something like that..
I love that you rescue Bibles. Truly precious with hand written notes. I don't know how people can get rid of loved ones' Bibles.
I think the wooden box was for tobacco storage and the holes are to stand pipes for smoking
That cabinet is called a side by side. Half drop front desk and half display cabinet . I've seen them through the years used in living rooms and dining rooms. The tray is for meats and that groove is for the juices to run and puddle especially when the meat is cut. And I believe the lampshade is made from capiz shells. Love your finds and watching you shop.
Yes I would have bought that mirror cabinet piece
Tobacco in the box, pipe holders on the sides.
Good finds.
✨Great finds 🌙✨
LOVE THIS
I love old worn out Bibles! Especially white ones. I found a very large hard bound one at an estate sale that was from late 1800s to early 1900s. They are treasures for sure!! Thanks for sharing!! Happy thrifting!😊
Love white milk glass...would of bought! $5 was cheap
Hi, enjoying your thrifting...the wooden box with the holes on sides is a pipe and tobacco holder..
Thank you!
Danielle, it is so good to have you back on CZcams. I know I've said it before but I had to say it again!! I had 3 lamps with those capiz shell shades back in the 80's until the the 2000's. I know you will love it. I love how you collect old Bibles. The ones that were read and studied are the best. Have a great weekend!!
Thank you!!
Oh my gosh, that tablecloth you found is SO insanely gorgeous!!!! I could not believe the price either. Amazing finds girl!
I love it!
The wooden box was a pipe holder. The tobacco goes inside and pipes fit inside the holes.
I believe the "grain" Box is a cigar box which holds the pipes and the tobacco inside.
The lovely shade is made of capri shells. Love the table linen.
Love the table cloth Beautiful!!! The box is for pipes the box holds the tabaco.
I wonder if you could add the horse button covers to a bolo tie, or ribbon and put in with your riding hat?
Hi Danielle, I do collect milk glass and I actually have that exact cake stand 😊
The antique piece is a Secretary's Desk
Not sure if that was a turnip on that tray and the wood thing a curling iron holder or hair dryer from 1980s.
Love the ship plates and ink holder.
I like your use for that holder better. Love the basket!!!
I have an ink well that is similar, it isn;t ribbed like yours, but it is a silver lid, my well is crystal, polished square, but it has a bevel on each edge I LOVE IT AS WELL
Omg I had a chandler just like your lamp shade in the original box that I donated to Salvation Army. It was from JC Pennys
So glad you had such a great haul. Love that table cloth and that lamp shade is beautiful! Those button covers are neat. They would look good in clear shot glasses.
Thank you for watching!
The lamp shade,just stunning!!!
The tablecloth is beautiful and I love the ink well. Thanks for sharing your haul. You found some nice items.
That wooden box is a smoking pipe stand and in the box you would put the tobacco. 😊
Oh and the shell lamp shade is called Capiz shell. I have one of those shades too and I love it.
Thank you!
I love your vintage Bible collection, Danielle. My mom had the exact same tablecloth you found and it brings back such happy memories. My grandfather also had something similar to the wooden box you have which held his pipes. Love your haul😊.
Thank you!
I love the sailboat plates ! I would like to see how you style the button covers !
It’s called Capiz shell, very pretty! I’ve always heard that Victorian piece called a secretary desk.
Great video ilovet thanks for sharing.
I love the vignette with the vintage Bibles. I will be on the lookout myself for vintage Bibles and recreate the look. Thanks for the inspiration.
The tablecloth and lamp shade are my favorite. Great finds.
Thank you!
Hey can I just say your hair looks beautiful!
Love the Bible,I picked up one from the 1800's. So special especially when they are loved. 💜
Thank you!
