(not so) fun fact: Heike's necklace is the same as Aleah's in the "Sinking Ships" Trees of Eternity 2013 video...
Indeed her necklace is very similar to Aleah's is "sinking ship"..what's even more worth noticing is that the way Heike sings on "Under the godless veil" (Draconian album) is in my opinion her paying tribute to Aleah.
I noticed the necklace too...I was thinking that.....maybe...it IS Aleah's necklace ??? The new girl deserves to wear Aleah's necklace because she is somehow meant to sing this song......

All those who want Trees of Eternity with Heike, I think Juha would never, not for even a Second, consider to revive ToE cause it IS Aleahs Project and hers alone. That would be rather disrespecting towards Aleah in my opinion. That is why he founded Hallatar, as a Tribute for Aleah, since those are her Lyrics, Tomi and Heike are singing
I honestly believe, that for the same reasons you mentioned, Heike wouldn't even do it. She has too much love and respect for Aleah and that was clearly Aleah's project.

As much as I adore TREES I can never imagine (not want to), anyone else other than Aleah and Juha. Let the band rest in the Stars along with Aleah, we have an album that will stay within our hearts and souls forever.

A true masterpiece. I hope that Hallatar put out another recording soon. Of all the rock, metal bands I've loved over the last 43 years ( I'm 57) this genre of medolic doom is something I never thought I would get into. It is now the only music I download and listen to, with the exception of the mighty Amorphis. A whirlwind of magical lyrics and awesome musicianship have created something very special to me and everyone else who loves this song, album, genre. Rock On
If i got this correctly this was a project or the guitarst of swallow the sun and his wife Aleah Stanbridge who died of cancer. I think he won't replace her.
You can try Swallow the Sun, Trees of Eternity (the same female singer as Hallatar), Draconian, theatre of Tragedy(they are more gothic), Insomnium, Agaloch, Tristania, Veil of Secrets, Enter and The Dance by Within Temptation, The sins of thy beloved, Opeth(even if they are progresive death metal, they have very melancholic and slow albums/songs. Windowpane, the lotus eater, face of melinda, in my time of need)

Hi! Not sure if you know this but Hallatar, unfortunately, won’t release anymore music. Tomi took Aleah’s poems and turned them in to songs. This project was made as a tribute to her. It’s similar to how ToE won’t release anymore due to our nightingales passing. I’m just happy that we got another Avenue to listen to her material. Albeit two, one from Hallatar and her solo record ❤
For me is the Video of the year, hands down, Heike's eyesight and Tomi's voice made me shiver, so many things pointing straight to Aleah...the black horse, the necklace, the tree (of eternity)...and i saw Juha...everything about this video is huge emotion . \m/ HALLATAR !!!

This song is simply amazing. Melts me everytime. The sweetness of the beggining, followed by the silkyness of Heike's voice, that swings us confortably at the beggining, then suddenly breaken by Tomi's intense growl and that crying and trembling guitar in the background that shakes and agitates us inside. Seduction followed by conquering. The more I listen to this, the more I love it. Beautiful in all dimension. Even more when played with my fingers in my guitar.
It feels like my doom family gathered in mourning, meaning that I should be excited to see them together... but because of the circumstances it feels cathartic yet solemn and profound, and foreshadowing

This is just an observation or thought with this being my 1st time listening to this song Only because of Heike, but i would only imagine if Aleah was able to sing in this song in Heike's place on this song. Either way it is a wonderful song!
I can't get over how amazing this album is. When I listen to it it almost brings me to tears. The atmosphere and emotion are so rich in every note of every song.
I am a fan of Heike Langhans, one day while browsing on Spotify, I discovered the song My Requim. After listening to it for days, I learned that it was Aleah's song. Later, the Hallatar band was formed in her memory and I witnessed Heike Langhans accompanying the song My Mistake. I really didn't know what to say. I looked at the empty wall. Rest in peace, Aleah.
I read about them long ago. Too lazy too fact check now. I think Heike and Aleah were friends. They grew up in cape town then went to persue their musical careers in sweden i think. But the band names seem Finnish. Sorry abt my lazinness.

I've listened to this song at least 1000 times, and I go through a box of tissues every time.
because she is standing right there besides you with her hand on your right shoulder ---seriously sir when you watch this its calls her spirit you might be only person on earth performing this task at the time maybe then her spirit ascends to where you are --this happens to me ..so this i say ---with your left hand touch her hand on your right shoulder and hold fast for moment however long you feel and then your sorrow will truly be connected .......like knowing Sophia is there right now(gnostics) as you would come too see understand in their next album "UNDER A GODLESS VEIL" and the truth of the Gnostics and its teachings ---your spirit will connect to this i truly think Aleah was of this elemental connection thats keeps the world going.....plz look up Sophia if you havent already and if not may this bless you in awakened new knowlege and epiphanies far into the future ....
I know I'm kinda just a nobody but I would just love to shake the hands of everyone responsible for this. So naturally cold and beautiful. On top of the song being a piece of moving art the cinematography had a beautiful plain natural bleakness and i could keep going on.
Well, "kinda just a nobody" wouldn't have such profoundly beautiful perception and appreciation towards this kind of art :)

Makes me cry everytime i watch this clip. So fucking deep and sad ! Epic singing ans melodies.
This may be the most heartwrenching thing I think I've seen... in that the depiction of such visceral connection to the loss itself. The very body language individually portrayed by each. those outright primal forces to. Escalating. Everything that was suffered. Juha... goddamn he rips that up like he's playing for his soul (even if it's just a video but that's half my point ~ not fucking actors).
If you've followed the story then... one could relate to the painful similarities or parallels maybe one can find salvation the light and grace of what they've given... often in grief is the way having been lost. I did not cry a tear for nearly 20 plus years. Just couldn't..even when my girlfriend died..it was the worst pressure inside. lives shattered. People say you should not listen. My heart is made less heavy by this. And Identifying as it evolves I learn. We work our way through. And now I am able. Just such absolutely vulnerably raw and awesome power driven to the surface I'm fucking floored. Thank you for your art.

Why isn't Hallatar making more music?* Tomi's amazing vocals and Heike's (plus her delightful video performance) are the great compliments to the band, whose strings and percussion are on point for the greatest Doom I've heard in years if not ever.
