- A legendary routine from a legendary DJ. This routine is ridiculously tough to emulate for this simple reason of the speed in which DJ EZ executes it. However, there are some practice techniques we can use to make the process a lot simpler.
The main feature of this mix is the pitch fader. We can unlock some really interesting routines when we master this technique.

My favourite DJ is the Magnificent Jazzy Jeff. When I heard live at union square back in the 80’s it fired up the wanna be DJ in me. Got my first set (and still got them) of SL1210’s and my journey began. The live at union square routine would be cool to see how it’s done 😊
DJEZ is my fave cuz i started with him and i feel him like my mentor.
Fair play for cracking that one open. Just makes me admire EZ even more for fearlessly dropping high-skill stuff this in the middle of a recorded set. And you kind of get the impression that he just freestyles this stuff on the spot. Playing the decks like an instrument. Legend.

That’s a tough one. It’s tied between a lot of DJs but if I had to saw who’s holding the #1 spot on my favorite list it definitely comes down to DJ Angelo. His mixes, cuts, queues, just everything he does is amazing and makes me want to work even harder no doubt.

Wow…definitely a tough one, but I’m going to have to go with DJ D-Nice! Been down with him since the 80s when he was with Boogie Down Productions (BDP). I especially applaud him when he started Club Quarantine during this pandemic. He brought millions of people together during stay-at-home mandates. The virtual community connected people from all over the world and provided a much-needed uplift! Much love and props to you D-Nice! I appreciate you!!

DJ EZ is why i even started to DJ, he was my inspiration . Started collecting his Pure Garage series on mixing ability and transitions alone. Even more so on his club nights he tore it up. His kiss 100 shows are sorely missed ,used to lock in every friday

For me it’s definitely Nina Kraviz. She’s been such an influential DJ in the Techno scene. Not only as a DJ but as a producer too. She has this unique way of storytelling through her productions. Also, she’s given a stage to so many other DJ’s through her “Trip” label. I listened to a podcast of her te other day and what a humble and calm person she is too. What amazes me even most is that she’s still busy acquiring new skills and knowledge each day, by delving more into music theory recently and even taking singing lessons. She’s not just a DJ, she’s truly an artist.

In my university years I was a making some extra money as a go go dancer and once one of DJs gave me a copy of Bad Boy Bill's Behind the Decks dvd.
I was fascinated by the girls dancing, the vibe and the DJ making it all happen and I realised that I wanna be able to do that. So for that, Boy Bill is definitely in a sweet place in my heart.

My favourite DJ who inspired me to start it all would be a hip hop DJ, DJ Charlie B was at an event I was working which was a boxing tournament and I got the opportunity to meet him! Being from Toronto and having a passion for hip hop and his home town really inspire me to keep the dream alive!
