Эх, если бы с мечом из фанеры было меньше работы! Они требуют ещё и покраски, чтобы выглядели прилично. Я сделал их несколько штук. Теперь хочу перейти на дерево, так и нашёл это видео.
I really like how the different species of woods were used to imply a laminated steel cutting edge. Very smart. I also got excited when you pulled out your rabbet block plane. Where do you buy precision ground 1018? Now might be the perfect time to try making an infill plane...
Beautiful work, man... Really amazing how beautiful it is! 😃 One tip (you can use or not, obviously) is an isolated tape called Tessa Tape. It's a tissue tape they use in car's wiring (I guess it's heat resistant). I use it a lot in my quadcopters, it's great... And it would look like the real deal if applied to the handle! 😃
Beautiful results. That birds eye maple is really lovely and fantastic how it continues from the handle to the scabbard. (Saya?). Always enjoyable to watch your work.
Beautifully executed and choice of woods. You can Almost see the Hamon in the maple and love the fit you achieved with the Hakabi, but wished for perhaps a little more design flair on the Tsuba....maybe sukashi. Thank You for all your efforts and sharing with us. Beautifully done! Please stay safe and warm!
Isn't it an irony, that it's takes a master woodworker to show intricately of a sword. Sword making is an art, weather it's made out of metal, or wood!!!
can you please tell me the measurements id like to use your technique but create a slightly different look for mine your designs the best strongest looking ive viewed but i want the tang just perfect and i dont know what the mesurements you used are ty
Master Je! Now I'm gonna have to go go look for wood in the middle of quarantine. Damn it! Thank you for posting. Always a pleasure watching you work master.
Beautiful stuff, but I think it's better if the Tsuba (handguard) isn't glued on. Rather, the Tsuka (handle) is held by a nail through the blade. Otherwise, the Katana looks beautiful ♡♡
Beautiful craftsmanship and love the Birdseye Maple.
This isn't your run of the mill plywood sword, this is a work of art.
They use machines, I want to see they making same katana but handwork
@@gh_st32then do it yourself you'll see how hard it is to do

It’s nice a bit on the big size.
I have but one, simple, unimportant complaint:
No handle wrap
Other than that it's ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE
Beautiful work!
As always excellent work, but I bet you can also make a real steel one.
A true Master of wood
Fabuloso , excelentre trabajo , gracias por compartirlo
I wonder if spalted maple would end up with a similar aesthetic to damascus/folded steel on the blade?
Excelente trabajo mí buen señor! Saludos.

I am by no means a carpenter, would you mind putting an audio explaining what you're doing and why? For us dummies that want to learn more
Perfection
Beautiful Craftsmanship
is it okay to use it for fighting or training perhaps?
This guy is the king of clamps
I've always dreamed of a wooden catarrh, but I don't have anywhere to find it in my country.

Very Awesome.
Nice work
at last someone made it with the scabbard

More like a wakizashi amazing either way
Hate the noisy power tools. Could've just used hand saws for small cuts.
