Postal workers have a laid back easy job delivering small envelopes at there lesiure thats why your required to pass a useless SAT type of knowledge test to even get an interview. Fedex, amazon, and UPS delivery men be sweating themselves off trying to deliver big boxes with a time frame and delivering a certain amonut per hour or risk getting fired.
Postal workers just drive around at there own pace delivering envelopes. Most dont even walk lije they used to do in the past but just drive to each mailbox.
With that said i doubt posyal worker died from heat stroke but rather from heart attack. He had a car to carry bottle or juice and he isnt doing a labor intensive job like a fedex delivery man

Before any of you consider moving to Texas just remember this. The other day it was so hot just at 10AM from me mowing the grass and I came in and chugged down 3 glasses of iced tea. I have my Air conditioner blasting and fans blowing. But boy when that cold front comes through in late fall it feels so good. My condolences 💐 to this man’s family.

Please be careful chugging ice tea or iced beverage after extreme heat. My dad had a friend chug a glass of sweet tea after he got too hot and he died because he tried to cool his body down too fast and it made him have a heart attack and he died. My dad always told me that when I got too hot so I wouldn't chug ice water.

I’d recommend water or Gatorade. Chugging tea with caffeine can raise your heart rate and make you more dehydrated.

My uncle was a USPS carrier. Those vehicles don't have A/C. Temperatures can reach up to 120+ within minutes. I always try to provide drinks and snacks every time I get deliveries whether it be at my job and my home and I always tell them to buy a cigarette plug in fan to try to cool them down.

I had a heat stroke before. I puked and fainted. I woke up in the nurses station of a theme park. It seemed like we were only there for an hour before it hit me. I went under a tree and blacked out. I'm lucky I am alive. I have heard people dying from heat stroke 😮

It's alarming that they're not already telling their postal workers to take as many breaks as they need supplying water along the route for their delivery people. In Canada we have stations for postal workers where they can go get cooled off and have water. Why they don't have that for American ones is beyond me. Especially considering America is exponentially more hot than most of Canada. And the logical thing to do would be to let them start as early as possible to beat the hottest part of the day.

Heat exhaustion is a misnomer. It's not like the exhaustion you feel when you're out of shape.
I was a wrestling stud in high school so I thought I could just tough out the heat. But it's nothing something you can mentally push yourself through. Your body is literally shutting down. You feel nauseous, and that you could pass out in the middle of a sidewalk despite being uncomfortably hot and sweaty. Get inside to some AC before you get to that point. Don't feel like a wuss for wanting breaks and not being tough.

I go to the grocery store and I get so hot I feel like I might pass out. I can Only imagine how hot this man got on his route. All mail carriers should have a vehicle with A/C. All delivery trucks of every kind should have a good A/C. and be provided with lots of water. I fear this is going to happen a lot more!! 😢😢. -My son works on A/Cs. He worked in Attics. He said the heat was unbearable and he passed out once. He still does A/C work but no more attics.
