I had an issue and someone in a GPS forum suggested this as a work around. Give it a try - It worked for me. I use iGO Primo as my GPS, and use the TTS voices so that the GPS reads back street names (regular non-TTS voices do not do this - they only tell you turn directions with no street names). When using non-TTS voices, everything worked correctly. The music volume would mute or lower to allow the GPS voice to speak clearly and loudly (depending on your GPS volume settings). But when using TTS voice the music volume would never mute or lowers - no matter how you have the GPS volume settings. If your GPS uses TTS voices, or you need to use it with TTS voices, then use these settings. Make sure the android head unit is set to use the built in Google-TTS engine and the correct language in the android settings of the head unit (the proper android settings, not the GPS app settings). Then go into the head unit's GPS settings and assign the Google-TTS engine as the default GSP application. Doing this will mean that the GSP hard-button on the head unit will no longer launch your default GPS app. But that is ok because I can launch it using the app's icon on the screen. Then make sure to go into your GPS app's sound/volume settings and select the correct TTS voice, with the correct language that matches the Google-TTS engine settings (that you set just before). Then properly exit from the you GPS app and reboot the head unit (full reboot, not just the screen off button). That's it. Hope this works for you.
I bought a Wince GPS card for my Eonon stereo . I put it in the GPS slot And nothing is happening. I've only found on video that explains the installation process but the guys accent is so heavy , I couldn't understand one word he said. And none of the options ( buttons0, or tabs he touched even exit on my unit ! Can anyone help me figure this out?

Has updating the unit worked for anybody?? I got mine from an ebay seller named *eononclub*. They send me a link to the update along with instructions, but it did NOT fix my GPS issue. Again, I still have GPS issues even after performing this update. :( Here's what they sent me, if anyone else wants to give it a try, here ya go: "About the issue you mentioned, we suggest you upgrade the unit for checking. Please download the upgrade file from this link: drive.google.com/file/d/1XaNqtCgz3dWoVp1CeO5GybUTz6OwbqFV/view?usp=sharing Instructions: 1. Format a SD card to FAT32 first, then download the upgrade file and directly copy the Zip file to this formatted SD card. 2. Insert the SD card to the unit's GPS card slot. 3. Go to Settings--->System, then click System updates. 4. When the unit detects the upgrade file, please choose Wipe data and format flash!, the click Install to do the upgrade. Attention: Please do not cut off the power and take out the SD card during the upgrade. It may take about 5mins to do the upgrade. So please be patient. And please follow the instructions strictly."
It's been so long ago and I no longer have any of the units...sold the vehicles. As I recall the update did work for me after unzipping file and installing. I would suggest for you to keep contacting them...unfortunately the language barrier is a big issue but they seem to be dedicated to helping there customers.
@@iflex1963 They have been replying, so I'll keep trying until time runs out to return it. I dud unzip and the install said it was "successful". After the update, I say the word "android" when I booted, which wasn't there before. So, the update did change something, but GPS issue remains. I'll comment again if I ever get it working.
chinese sterio are shit . i got one with gps , it only has europe not australia , and after 3 days i was getting the please put in map data . so i went back to google maps and just use it for music now .

The sd card readers used on these only reads 8-32gb and require class 10 and above
Did you unzip the file before putting on SD card ?
