OK WOW! This is the best video I’ve seen. After two months of trying to learn, you put everything together precisely! Will be looking into booking a course with you, and I have already subscribed. I’ll be off spending the next few days watching every single video you’ve ever posted. My only question on this one is when you set up your shipping type (boxes and weight), isn’t this after the customer has already placed the order? I’m just trying to figure out if they choose a certain type and I have everything set up, I can’t change the amount that they have already submitted to Shopify. That is the only thing holding me up between shipping profiles and package type. You are a rockstar. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to help people by making this video. You are the real hero.

So how does plugging the actual shipping cost into the product cost work? I know that flat rate shipping at USPS is $13 when it's domestic and if I advertise $5 shipping on do I add $8 to my product so I can break even on shipping? Also, what about international shipping which averages about $30 to ship through DHL do I add $25 to the base price of product to break even there ?

Hello! I'm new to Shopify and I'm struggling with the saved packages settings. How can I configure custom packages for different products? For example, I've saved small, medium, and large boxes, each for different types of products. However, it appears that Shopify uses the default package to calculate shipping weight and cost. Is there a way to assign specific packages to individual products so Shopify can factor that into the final weight? Let's say I sell small items that can be shipped in a 50 grams box, but other larger items need to be shipped in a 100 grams box. The default package is 50 grams, and it seems like that's the weight Shopify will use to calculate the cost of shipping.
Does it matter which package you have with Shopify? I dont tbink 39.95 enables this at checkout. 😢

For the “shipping from” address, can I use my business address instead of my home? Does this impact anything?
I recommend using your business address.
How do you set your PO BOX address as your shipping from/on your labels so people cannot see your residential address?

Add the address in locations and then select it as your default shipping address.
Hi, thanks for the useful video, but I'm still having a headache with setting up shipping rates and saved packages.
1. Having to set a default shipping package from which carrier-calculated rates are calculated results in extremely incorrect totals for many customers at checkout when our saved packages vary greatly in size, and ultimately in weight. In other words we're going to lose money when people order enough items to require those much larger packages if the default Saved Package is a smaller one.
2. The Flat Rate option doesn't really work for us either because any given service varies in price from one part of the country to another (we're in Canada). So, it means one region will be overcharged and another undercharged. I'm not a fan of doing that.
3. And the free shipping for domestic is not an option for us at this time, as margins simply do not allow it.
So, are we missing something in regards to items #1 and 2?
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Lili 👋🏾 I haven't switched, I run multiple sites, therefore I use both. Each site has its own benefits. I recommend Shopify for product-based businesses because it's built with powerful e-commerce features. I recommend Zyro because of the ease of use and affordability. If money and ease are huge factors, then go with Zyro. If you rather have a more advanced site that can turboboost your marketing efforts, then go with Shopify.

Yes. You just have to setup your backend correctly. I share how to do this in my Hustler's Starter Pack.

Shopify bills once a month. That bill will include the total for your Shopify plan, any apps you have installed and the total shipping for any orders you've shipped within the past month.
@@TheBrandHustler I only have two apps n they are free. And every time I ship packages it’s like they charging me instead of the customer. I got charged twice $200 n they just took $147 out my personal account
@@shaemonae2178 I know this is a older post and probably figured it out but the reason you pay so much monthly is cause of the shipping label you created for each order you shipped. 1 thing I hate about shopify is they don't take the money out as soon as you buy the shipping label they just wait a full month and include the bill.
