So how much did you earn for the day. Also if you take into consideration the 2 delivery at the end that earned you 5.60 or there abouts for 20 mins work. Bro works out at 16.80 an hour. Thats grand money
I really loved ur videos bro, good for motivation aswell❤
@@Chillywillie McDonald food sucks it's rank the burgers are cold and I asked for no salad and they gave me salad there all dumb
Amazing vid great to see how you work and the great service you provide to the people
Being visually impaired and with anxiety issues around people.
Just eat has been my lifeline these 2 days.
And the service has been fantastic on time warm coffee.
Granted living in a small town and close to restaurants and cafes.
It's been a dream.
These services are great for certain situations, but make sure you don't over-isolate yourself either bro, social interaction is necessary for us all 🤜🤛
Love this video, well done! You are correct and social.!
I Like how you show how you place the items/food into your bag, and not just shove them in, shows you care about your customers orders, and your polite
So you can use just eat Deliveroo , uber eats n just eat, at the same time? Do you just go online on all of them ?
A) it's his first day b) he's filming 😆
@@StuffOffYouStuff its his first day on just eat app not in delivery job
Yeah I do the same though with my orders, I've seen a lot of couriers just put the food in bag and NOT zip the bag up, by doing this you keep the heat in the bag and NOT allow the heat to escape, this way the food arrives hot. I also carry a marky (Artline Marker) so that if I have multiple bags for multiple orders, I write on the bag 1 of 2 and the order number this way I know which bag belongs to which order...
Thank you - very interesting! I thought you would make more for the effort. Good luck! 👍💕
my da is from Nottingham and it was good to watch the centre etc while u on the bike. good luck on the roads.
Big up Kieran and the manager seem like decent people!🙏🏽
Great video. You are the first ever delivery rider I have seen who stops at a red traffic light. Well done!
First British one I’ve seen as well
did edit the video as he got to the red light, so we have to assume that.
absolutely, over here in Aus...we have a campaign for Bike Couriers "RIDE TO LIVE"
Good video mate very interesting, had a lot of trouble with JE I won't order again from them and what you've VID makes a lot of sense
LMAO, this is the first video I have watched, It's addictive, great work man!!
Loving the hip hop in Greggs. Some one was allowed to play some bangers
6:00 good for you an speaking up.
Thanks for posting this great video that gives a great insight into what its like in being a delivery driver and wages to expect. The young lad at McDonalds is very insperational
I've never been to Nottingham....what a gorgeous church bell. Sounds like Big Ben!
Yea you can tell that McDonald’s worker was a little annoyed she had to properly lid those drinks. It’s a shame. But I’m glad you got her to do it. I had a coffee spill once and it’s not fun. Love your videos.
@Steely666 mate he doesn't want to have coffee spilled on his back because a McDonald's employee doesn't wanna double lid a drink mate they should really
Thank you so much 🙏
In the end she was really nice to me so that’s the most important thing haha
I think Steely deleted his comment haha. Not sure what he said!
@Gig Hustle he was saying you should have the lid not done up properly and it's not the McDonald's employees job to do it
They can be very hot and you don't realise until you're on the road cycling for a few minutes.
You should keep a kids blow up arm band in your bag, they are brilliant to be able to blow up on the fly to create extra padding so you can keep bags wedged up and can also be used for single large drinks inside the blow up arm part. 😀
This is what I do 😍
Good for you for asking the lady to double lid it. It’s not an unreasonable ask is it! Keep well brother.
It's either that or I have a spillage haha. Definitely not unreasonable like you said! You too bro 👍👍
this bicycle feels smoother on good road because it has road "summer tires" instead of offroad "dirt tires" you had on previous bicycle.less road resistance
Great video bro
I bet it was nice meeting someone who watches your channel. The guy from McDonalds seems a nice friendly guy xx
Cheers from another bike person
Hi Jay, I do this job in Torquay for Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat. On ebike too. Love your videos as all my family are from Nottingham as well, so I recognise a lot of places you ride through. Take care mate and stay safe delivering. Ash
Hey, I live in Torquay, what's the pay like down here for a job like this? Looking to get out of the 9 - 5 to start a business, cheers.
@@drrrivevibes not very good. Best doing it part time mate. Too many doing it here.

how greggs put a timer on when all their food is stone cold
Ooo let's go man Finally!!! I honestly mostly use Just Eat and at times Uber Eats as well but yeah it's not to bad just sometimes lil issues here and there but mostly pays well and is being updated
Deliveroo is better than uber and just eat
I would use Just Eat more if they actually gave me shifts lol. Seems very difficult to get even one shift a week with their scheduling system!
@@GigHustle I don't honestly have that issue at the moment but what I do have an issue with is them sometimes not always give me the right address and then I got to call the customer for the correct one.
Lovely video Jay I do think the courier app is better because you get more freedom than the employee app but there's so much more restaraunts in my area of north norfolk on just eat especially the city can't wait for the next upload
Thanks! The self employed model is always better for me but I wish they got rid of the shift scheduling!
Big up keiren
I have a wfh job and make about £80 grand doing it a year. Its great in many ways, but theres so much pressure and stress. This just looks so comfy...
Loving the video, I run Uber on an Unagi scooter so I feel your pain on getting drinks packed properly. Great job man!!!
Wow, glad I found this channel. I'm 50 year old office worker with some debts to pay, 125cc motorcycle, live up Hucknall way. Am from London and worked as a big bike motorcycle courier for 8 years in the noughties. Will be interesting to see how this compares to the old days, with new laws on gigs. Money looks OK, better than what I used to earn! (edit: on further investigation, not so sure about that. Seems merely comparable at best). I'm unlikely to come central Notts, see how that compares to Bulwell/Hucknall circuit. Regards stereotypes - it's pretty amusing, used to be courier bikes vs taxis, pedestrians vs bikes, motorcycles vs pedestrians (I hit one once! Was fine though), commuters vs everyone. You just have to deal with it all philosophically and not lose your shizzle. Good vid, good channel, will be watching more, thx fella. I'm currently puzzling about carrying drinks on motorcycle. I might go with backpack for drinks.
Thanks Andrew! Was interesting to read about your history with deliveries - hope you enjoy my future videos 👍👍
@@GigHustle That Beeston KFC and nearby new(ish) Gregg's is near my work. See you around some time :)
Here's some observations a couple months in: don't do this work. It's garbage. I'm on a 125cc motorcycle, I spend on average around 10 minutes waiting for pickups (it's often 20 mins, with the few ones that are ready when I arrive bringing the average down to 10 mins). It's impossible to make money in these circumstances. Only Just Eat, with its bonuses on scheduled shifts, has any chance on lifting you above minimum wage, and that is iffy. And you need to be able to get the scheduled shifts for the bonus, and you never get the number of shifts that you ask for. This coming week I have one out of the three that I asked for. I can get unscheduled shifts if I keep eye out on the app and bag one, but I won't get the bonus so will earn less than minimum. Uber Eats is terrible with multi drops that sometimes can't even be collected or fit on a bike and pay awfully for the time and distance required. Just Eat, working without the bonus, pays about the same as Uber but with less mileage and drops. As I say, I you can get unplanned shifts from Just Eat frequently enough that it's nearly as flexible as Uber, despite the way it works. But I spend probably 30-40 percent of my time waiting for the food, unproductive. You can't make minimum wage like this. Dreadful. See if you can just get a waged job if you need money. Don't do this full time whatever you do. I'm trying to do three nights a week, outside city centre, occasional weekend, on a 125cc (I'm too old to bicycle it all night and still do my day job). I'm quick, I graft, I know what I'm doing, but this is how I find it. Your experience may vary, but not by a lot I suspect.
Andrew followed through!
Just discovered your channel, loving it! Greetings from Beeston 😊
plz what about the bag ? who give ubthe bag to hold the. food ?
Before being activated with Just Eat you have to pay a small amount for the bag upfront. Deliveroo gives you a free bag when you get activated. Uber Eats don't give you a bag but sometimes have promotions to give free bags to riders.
Hi from Australia...over here the Just Eats is called Menulog they both have the same logo, and the same colors...but anyway I do this Menulog with an Electric Car and Bicycle, and oh boy I do pretty good with the deliveries, yes you do get good pay jobs on the app, better than Deliveroo & Uber Eats...but will be seeing if I can install an tow hitch so that I can take my bike with me, (similar to the Ariel Rider Grizzly) and be able to upgrade my battery on the bike so that I can literally do more orders as well...I will see if I can later on add a photo of the bike but it's a 20x4 in fat bike with road tyres, and installing 12 volt lighting so this way I could have turn signals & brake lights, with my e-bike looking more like an electric moped I don't get many complaints on the road from road users as they naturally think you're a motorcycle courier, especially when wearing an approved Menulog Motorcycle Helmet.
My advice is to try Bullwell and Hucknall McDonalds for work. They are often busy and the deliveries are closer generally.
would be alright if they werent dodgy areas
Get a small bike trailer and take 3 or 4 orders at the same time.
Having lived in Nottingham for a couple of years, this was quite nostalgic for me! 😊
i live in nottingham now, i didnt realise he is from notts when i clicked on the video so it was abit of a surprise

Have you ever collected an order that doesn’t fit in your bag? If so what do you do?
Luv the video man
Thanks bro!
I love how the woman called you babe after she found out about the channel 😂
you can run a 250w "peak" motor comfotably at 48v pushing up to 800W of power in the moment...
as long as it's power is still limited to 15 mph you're 100% legal.
Also as long as you're responsable the poilice don't care
I wouldn't leave your bike there unattended. Please install one of those Dutch ring lock which will stop any potential steals
I’m pretty careful with my bike but I understand what you are saying. Fortunately I’ve been doing this for a few years and haven’t had any problems 🤞
@@GigHustle nottingham is nice been there a few times, if you left unlocked in London you may aswell donate it to charity before someone rides off on it xD
It wasn't delivery but one time after uni i was doing a job juggle pub, service manager in older adult care, retail, youth work, consultancy. It was knackering. Husleling fully in catering oh my It makes commonsense to double lid
St Ann's I live there lol, been here nearly all my life and had no problems just not much to do round here lol, I'm thinking of joining just eat riders as I also have an ebike since my main jobs are dying out now a cinema projectionist, anyways lol Happy Easter! 🎉🎉
I’ve never had any issues either! I’ve just heard it’s a bad place 😂 My first year university accommodation was in St Ann’s and it was fine - a bit dodgy sometimes at night but nothing happened. What are your main jobs? Why are they dying out?

Wow, delivery apps work so different in my country. It's not just an app, you need to get a contract you are required to wear the uniform, you can't refuse an order etc etc. I'm not even sure you are allowed to work for two different companies, but even if you are, doubling the shifts like that is absolutely out of the question.
What country is this?
Maybe Bulgaria😂
Deliveroo/Just Eat/ other are not "employers" to the riders, they are a "broker" between the customer and the restaurant, which allows them to avoid giving out sick pay, holiday pay, and other employee rights to the riders. These businesses are not sustainable unless they follow this modern-day slave driving; Deliveroo leaves any country which forces them to treat their riders as employees.
It sounds like your delivery drivers follow more traditional employee/employer rules, which is best in the EU, as employees get more rights and protection from these cancerous slave driving evil corporations.
Are you working in USSR ?
Well done!
Sadly, food delivery is not that profitable with those apps anymore. There is just not enough orders to cover expenses needed to deliver them. I recently tried to do some deliveries through Uber Eats. 8 hour shift got me exactly £50 while accepting everything that showed up. I had to spend about £10 for insurance and another £10 for petrol so that leaves about £30 profit providing I don't pay the tax. With tax, it would be around £20 for 8 hours work... Good luck making any money on that.
If u do it on a bike like he is it’s way more profitable and healthier for u :))
That's why he does it in bigger towns or cities with a bike. I never see a delivery driver in a car anymore. Even when they are using a motor, its a vespa.
With those electric bikes if you peddle on top of the top speed what's the top speed u can go it looks like you're going a good 25 miles an hour or something there. I'm just wondering as I haven't made my mind up whether to get a small car and do it and spend 12 quid or so on petrol a day or get an electric bike?
Did my first shift yesterday for Just Eat on my ebike and came across problems with the app. The maps took me to the wrong place too, plus constant “connection errors” too. Hopefully it improves though!
Does nobody cook anymore?
Respect
They're stopping thr JE employee model in UK. I did it for a bit before. The good thing is you can take your time as you're being paid hourly
£100 bonus for working your first 18 hours too a great app if you get good shifts
I think that was the problem with the model though - it incentivised people to not deliver or to deliver slowly. They can really only make money if they are completing orders quickly! I remember when I went to Birmingham the employed riders just wanted to hang around areas where they didn’t get orders lol
@@GigHustle too many people these days want to be paid for doing nothing.
Great video buddy 👍
Is there a difference between just eat and skip the dishes coz they have the same logo
Would it be possible to do this on a motorbike? A small one, such as a 50cc or 125cc?
Great video. Two remarks, Nottingham is a very dirt city or maybe doesn't have enough street bins. Second thing, do you lock your bike whilst you are waiting in a place to collect an order? I think that I would be a bit paranoid about having my bike stolen. Anyway, I really enjoyed watching this video.
Thanks mate! This was filmed on a Sunday morning before it was cleaned from the night before. Nottingham has lots of party goers especially on a Saturday night so that’s what causes the rubbish. It gets cleaned up before people start coming into the city to shop on the Sunday. 9/10 I lock up my bike and sometimes it’s hard to find a place so I just keep an eye on it otherwise I find somewhere close by!
im from nottingham and it usually isnt too dirty
I'm starting to realise why most McD orders are coid, they have been sat on the side for ages way before the delivery guy even turns up, Also, with just eat you nearly always have missing items you have to claim for.
Good to see you stop at traffic lights. And the potholes in the roads? Aren't they awful.
Hi. I come down to Nottingham City Centre to day with my gf and my daughter. Your videos inspired me. I always loved the look of the town when i see you ride through. Really enjoyed it. Hoping to do more site seeing soon on my next visit. Daughter wants to see the kitty cafe next time.
Hope you had a great time! I’m sure your daughter will love the kitty cafe…I always go past it and wonder what it’s like haha
@@GigHustle will have to let you know haha. Have a good easter
Yeah the hot drinks must be a nitemare if staff don't give a hoot I would get the staff to wrap them in cling film to prevent spilling
Restaurants are getting much better at packaging their hot drinks. At the start of the pandemic it was a bigger problem because lots of restaurants were new to delivery, even McDonald’s were not used to deliveries at this scale so they didn’t know this would become an issue for them. Now they have realised and it’s not as much of an issue nowadays but you still have to check to be safe haha
@@GigHustle I did Costa Coffee today and they seal the top of theirs, such a good system - I can ride care free haha.
Hi if anyone can help I’m new to just eat and I can’t view my earning statement in the portal I thought I could view it from Tuesday not but I’ve not received anything
Haven't seen the street this empty, wasn't lockdown just a few years back? 😅🤔
Nice one man you made that guys day 🍟👍
What are the apps that you use please?
Surely it'll be the tips that would make it worth doing.
If there are no tips then I can't see it worth the effort.
In Australia, 2 Uber Eats delivery guys died recently, so they have sent out loads of free neon bright gear to every rider. Sad circumstances but basically have an entire free uniform that makes me very safe indeed,
That's why my family said don't do it find a proper job
well yeah I also don't do it anymore. Last time I worked an afternoon it came to about $9 an hour. DIsgraceful.@@heenathanki1922
Hi gig, you have inspired me to become a rider, cant wait to turn 18 to do this as a side hustle. The videos are really entertaining to watch. You should come to Crawley or Brighton and try delivering there (brighton however is a bit hilly) . Keep up the good work mate! 👊👊
Don’t expect any money the money you get is awful now it used to be good but not anymore

seem friendly vibes over their in Nottingham... when u say employer version... what you actually mean is "booking slots", where there are 3hour slots you will be payed 8£ an hour even if u get orders altho are imprisioned to them... at least thats wat it is if u have their Stuart version in the main citys
How do you secure your bike when going inside shops?
Hey buddy I live in Slovakia I work for bolt food and bistro SK(Slovakia's Uber eats and just eat) I have one question that can I use one black thermal bag to work for both of them ?
I signed up to delivery on justeat but i doubt i ever get the chance seeing how bad delivering food is at moment. Only on Uber i get hardly any delivery requests. Not great.
I think Just Eat can be decent but it really depends where you live. I hardly get any shifts in Nottingham but it could be because it’s a new zone and it may take time for them to setup their operations properly. Deliveroo is the best app right now but it’s hard to get your account activated…it can take many months!
Hello is Delivero need insurance for a beginner in bicycle
Hello I want to ask you. Isn’t better to with bicycle or electric bike for delivery I want to join but need some ideas first
I read in the news that there are no more employee deliveries anymore in the UK for the delivery apps. Everyone will be labeled as a self employed contractual person.
Yes this is for Just Eat. They scrapped their employed model because it probably wasn't profitable anymore! There isn't as many orders nowadays.
@@GigHustle You should interview some employees and see what they think of this change. Should be good content. Short and sweet people's views on these sudden changes. (Some content that can be done in doors) ✌️🙂

Atm I don't think nottingham has got the acceptance rate , (usually shows on job page) . Maybe in future. Hopefully by then they remove scheduling system. Also it would be good to have a map or a pin point like stuart deliveroo and uber
Oh I never knew it shows on the job page! I guess it's not here yet because I can't see it haha. I would love if they removed the scheduling system...I would be using them way more often and it seems fairer to me to have a free for all - as long as they manage their rider/driver numbers! Yes a map would be good but they do give you plenty of time to do it manually on Google Maps from what I remember. On Uber Eats they give you like 15 seconds which is ridiculous lol.
@@GigHustle It goes off your last 10 orders, so maybe you won't see your acceptance rate until then.
@@MisterDibitybopty still no AR, done over 150 orders

Dude first time I've seen any of your vids and this was so interesting! Keep up the great content! New subscriber here 👊ps you sound a bit like bear grylls 😂
Ironically I had my first shifts on Just Eat this week. The pay is better but I get about a quarter of the jobs that I get on deliveroo. My acceptance rate is probably only about 30% as most of the offers are soooo far away. Make sure you always have available switched on and you may get more shifts!
Yeah I'm not a big fan of Just Eat because of the whole scheduling shifts business. Feels like a waste of time and it's frustrating when you get 0 shifts. They are better off it being a free for all...seems fairer to me! When you turn available on and they send you a shift how much notice do you get? I don't live that close to the city that's all.
@@GigHustle you don’t get any notice, and you only get a few minutes to accept, just have yourself turned on when you’re working with the other apps and you may get opportunities. And just because you accept the shift doesn’t necessarily mean you will get an offers!
@@GigHustle it's actually some crazy shit, that they are not paid hourly. Minimum guarantee of £10/hr should be in place. Or whatever min wage is in the city. I'm trying the scheduled runs soon but I have a feeling it won't be great.
I don't mind the booking because I can cancel before the shift, which is all I need. Just have to set a reminder on Wednesday. But the issue is that it might not even be worth the effort.
@@GigHustle modern slavery system preety much if you need it to pay bills
I really enjoy your videos but a question….do you do these deliveries for work and income or just doing it for filming and your CZcams channel? Anyways you have a really fun channel that I enjoy regardless.
Thanks! I do it for both tbh. In the pandemic fees were much higher so I made more from deliveries and this was my main income but now fees are much lower and CZcams is my main income. So I deliver just to film my videos but I still make extra income from the deliveries I do. I don’t believe people should do this full time unless they really enjoy it and they are happy with the pay (it’s not well paid but it’s a decent side hustle).
@@GigHustle well keep up your channel because I do enjoy it. Maybe expand it for other stuff. You have such a fun positive personality. This is from a guy in California who came across your channel and enjoy it.
Does stuart cover Nottingham?
Justeat is not giving me shifts. 😢
Yes but they sent everyone a message in Nottingham saying they are giving back their orders to Just Eat and that there will be not as many orders on the Stuart platform for Just Eat. I still get some Just Eat orders but not as many and the pay has dropped significantly.
What bike do you use?
I’m wondering if this would be tough if you don’t have E-bike. I was thinking of doing this to make some extra money, but I’m not sure if I would be able to pull it off on a regular bicycle.
Can I ask what are the double blue lines means in the park estate
I think it indicates that you need a parking permit for the Park Estate to park there. It's right next to the city so they don't want people to start using it as a free car park haha
Acceptance rate hasn't affected me personally, don't be afraid to decline if it doesn't benefit you! Good video!
Thanks for this! I hate the acceptance rate haha. Do you get lots of shift in Portsmouth?
@@GigHustleI get 1 shift a week at the moment if I’m lucky, I do open runs and bonus opportunities when they pop (if I’m already out on Uber) all the apps are really shunning bicycles now 😭
They throttle you for poor acceptance here.
Which bicycle do you use ?Is it electric?
I have a question. Is this classed as self employment? Does the uber driver need an accountant eg self assessment? Thus this job for students looking for less than 16h pay per week
