I was so excited as a Tampa resident when I found out that they were building in Edition Hotel here. To me, this hotel and the JW Marriott shows the potential growth of Tampa in such a short period of time. I love to go to the 9th floor to get drinks all the time and atmosphere there on a Friday and Saturday night is incredible. I recommend the Green Juice Gimlet by the way. One really cool spot in there is called the punch room on the 2nd floor. It’s like a cool speakeasy bar with dark wood tones and blue velvet chairs. I have eaten at one of the restaurants downstairs which is called Lilac and they do have a Michelin star but it’s about $150 per person and in my opinion, does not deserve their Michelin star. Great video on the property and I was surprised to see manual blinds in a brand new Edition property but besides that the room was stunning. I still think for Tampa it’s as good as it gets.

Just so you know Josh I book my hotel stays off of your recommendations now! You should stay at the Ritz in Amman Jordan you would enjoy it I stay there often.

Does it have a Butler ?
The hallways are so bland 🫥 but the hotel is beautiful. You make a great point on driving up to the hotel there could have been a dedicated driveway for the hotel. But the whole goal of water street is a walkable ubarn neighborhood. Which might be why they didn’t make a large entrance for cars.
You’re right, the hallways definitely could be improved and the entrance but it’s still the best hotel in Tampa so thankful they at least have a luxury hotel now. Hopefully you’ll have the chance to stay!
So plain for a 5 star hotel. I think you haven’t seen the best lobbies in the world.lol This hotel very good location but very normal hotel. It doesn’t look luxury to me.
