- A chicken seller who became a successful businessman; a politician who rose to the presidency: William Ruto was officially declared president of Kenya after narrowly winning the election in August.
While it is widely considered Africa's most stable democracy, the country has its fair share of burdens.

The commentator seemed to be very uncomfortable and at times taken aback by the confidence, the intelligence and the peace this brother had. He was never able to get him to grovel. Never able to get him to say that he needed charity or guidance from the West. This Kenyan President is a force to be reckoned with. I love it!

I fail to understand when people say the county is divided right in the middle! We are 50 million Kenyans, 22 million were registered as voters, 14 million voted 7m plus voted WSR, 6m plus voted Raila, another 7m plus didn't vote at all...so when you say country is divided right in the middle its a fallacy..
You can't understand because this is math and statistics for that matter. The 14 million is a sample of the whole population, and if the results were almost half, then it means the population is also almost half. I don't mean the country is divided because the election has passed.

You believe in a fairy tale and a leader who has done nothing but steal from the country and complain about the government he was part of for the past 10 years.
As a Ghanaian and a critic of Africa's literally 'non-existent' political leadership, I see in H.E Dr Ruto, a semblance and rebirth of Pan-Africanism.
It's early days yet and he has the benefit of doubt to prove me wrong.
What he needs now is for our Kenyan compatriots to help him excel. I love his humble beginnings, which even reflects in his body-language. God Bless Him.

Never been a fan of the man... but sentiments aside, this is very encouraging and in someway uplifting. The man may have his weaknesses like all of us do... but you can see it in his eyes.. he is passionate about his manifesto and he seems determined to work for his citizens as a whole.

But the way things are, i think an opposition doesn't exist as they are preocuppied in increasing their salaries and how they can secure plum positions. God help us.
