I never saw this video but this is the first time I actually got to see the birth canal n it was real awesome 👌 thank you. But poor Popeye..knowing what happened..it's just sad to see all this again 😢 it's amazing to see how these baby Macaques instantly have instincts and capability to hold on to their mother instantly. Sure it's gonna take some more teaching from mommas to hold on properly and tight but it's just awesome. Also I've noticed that these mothers when giving birth, often do it in rocky areas..not only to hold on but it looks like they use it for their abdominal area and rub on it..perhaps because of the contractions and pain..it may help relieve it. I know pressure always felt better during the births of my children 💙
It's amazing how these little guys come out clinging to their mother's, holding on tight already! Lol

However I think most insects are far more advanced when born. They come out just owning everything lol

А вы знаете, как люди рождаются? Практически также, только вокруг хлопочут акушеры и неонатологи. А остальное- боль, кровь, околоплодный воды… и ребенок совершенно беспомощный.

I just can’t watch the part of eating the afterbirth and licking the little newborn baby. I’m glad I didn’t have to do that for my sons! But she sure is a good little mother.
They have to clean up like that to get rid of the blood that would attract all manner of predators from even far away.

@@aq4995 She won't be trying to walk for the first day or so. Today her biggest accomplishment will be to dry out after mom's cleaning which also stimulates baby to pee and poop then crawl up mom's belly to a nipple so she can learn to latch on & suckle. That's a lot of work for such a wee thing.
Actually, human babies have the same grasping reflex, its one of the first things a doctor will check during the newborn exam, we just don't have hair to cling to.

@Patricia Ashley - Popeye was my favorite, and was the only reason I started watching the monkeys. She was so intelligent and had such human demeanor. The best momma ever! I lost interest after they killed her.

Popeye has done this a few times. But I feel for her when the baby's head is going between the pelvic hip bones and they are moving to allow baby to go through. Worst part of labor for me. Boy does she have a lot of blood with that placenta.

Lots of nutrients mom needs to get the milk ducts to start producing milk and her body's need to recover. Water is so important too.

I hope she is one of the good mama monkeys because she is cleaning her baby well. The mama monkey's eats all the stuff from the baby monkey because it is nourishment for her and it cleans the baby at the same time.
