How critical is it to get perfect center of the dial when installing to Rotary Encoder onto it?
Not super critical. Just close. As you manipulate, the numbers on the DDM are what matter. As long as you are consistant, it will work.
It's a shame you don't have closed captioning for this video. Very difficult to hear you with your disguised voice; sounds like low tone mumbling.

So I see the technique when determining the 1st number belongs to wheel number 3 I would like to see the technique if the 1st number was on wheel one can you show that please
Its pretty much the same. Dial each possible number on wheel one and check the gate for changes. Sometimes you can get both a wheel one and wheel three indication and you have to try the different permutations of the numbers to figure out which is which..
