  • The Ntoroko floods have spread to more villages and cut off additional roads. Local leaders have appealed to the Office of the Prime Minister to intervene and support the affected communities. The floods began over the weekend when the River Semliki burst its banks. The most affected areas are in the Bwelamule sub-county, Ntoroko district, specifically the villages of Kyobe, Kyapa, Kayanja I, Kayanja II, Kisungu, Sasa, and Kabimbiri.

No one is mentioning where the water is coming from!! Has it been raining heavily around the source of River Semliki? Is the water coming from DRC or Rwenzori Mountains?
