Eric thank you for uploading and video journaling your CDT through hike..Every sound in this presentation is precious you will value this in years to come. You will be so glad that you edited this video with no distractions. no music.. no pop vibe.. or talk talk talk..😳 I have done video journaling of my through hikes, when I go back to revisit CZcams I get annoyed with myself for blasting the video with music 😳 The CDT is not a typical through hike It is defiantly not like the Pacific Crest Trail 😀 I am in the workings for through hiking the CDT..2024 I am still juggling between going SOBO or NOBO. Thank you Eric for making this film with distinction. have a blessed 2023 ! Here is to the triple 🏆🏆🏆 - rebo
I started April 8th and finished September 6th! With tons of zeros in between (personal choice, i was exhausted) There were some issues with snow. Northern NM was a post hole hell along with the beginning of CO, even with snowshoes. I opted for the Creede cutoff, Creede was such an awesome town. But, with living in snow in the Sierra on the PCT in 19, I didnt want to do too much snow travel again. But I knew plenty of people that did it and made it through no problem! Other than that area, there was no other snow except a few fields a bit more north.
@@ericenglot8061 That is good to hear about the snow. My husband and I plan to start on April 13th. I am really excited. Of course nervous about the weather. Also, this is our first trail going no cook the whole way. Hopefully we don't have too many issues finding a resupply. I have read that we will need to send some boxes in NM and Montana. Thank you for the info.
@@amandaasplin6362 You will definitely need to send some boxes in NM and Montana. I cooked for a lot of the trail but ended up cold soaking for all of montana. Its easily doable! If you have any more questions about anything, feel free to ask!
Great videography, whar a trip of a lifetime! Thank you for documentary ;)

This was so great! Thank you- I loved it :)
What were your dates of start and end. Looks like you had a good window. Did you have issues with high snow year?
