Useful fact : Mega mushrooms were planned to be in super mario bros wii, but were removed because they caused problems in multiplayer mode (I think the wii couldn't handle correctly 4 players with the Mega mushroom at the same time)

I remember playing nsmbds all the time when I was 10, the rush of making Mario giant was thrilling! I was running through levels with a whole ton of adrenaline, and when I got one from the house, I would use it at a place where I knew there were loads of enemies or a boss! those were awesome days.

Just to clear up any confusion, the first four games look a lot like Mario Maker, but they aren't. It's actually Mario Multiverse, a PC remake of Mario Maker with additional features (such as the Mega Mushroom) that's currently in closed beta.
The rest of the "Mega Mushrooms" showcased here are pretty much bs

Thank you SOOO MUCH for not half assing the Mega Mushroom in the NSMB DS style. A lot of people that have done this just increased the size of the 2d sprite and it just looks horrible. The fact that you added not only Mario's neutral model but also the giant model just goes to show how much dedication went into this to make it feel extremely nostalgic. I hope you'll work on more projects like this in the future.
The Mega Mushroom is a model though, not a sprite...
It's more natural and looks better imo to just render everything at native resolution instead of higher resolution where some things you can see are clear models and others are sprites

@@Robinnezz_Ofc it's mainly coins, blocks, goombas, koopas that are sprites. Other things like Spinies, Bobombs, the Boss Goomba of World 4 are models

What I realized is that in some games, there weren't mega mushrooms, so all that happened was that Mario's size was changed, but nothing else was different.
