I got this kit when I was about 12-13 yrs old after saving up for a whole summer. I knew absolutely NOTHING about how it would arrive. It came in a million pieces. The feeling of accomplishment after putting it all together and getting it to run the first time was something I'll remember forever. Then like a dumbass I sold it in a garage sale for dirt cheap when I was in my mid 20's.
Watching this cause in 8th grade 93/94. No track near me, It was out of my league. I had a slot car track in my town. 10T were race trucks after assembly. They could make 10K kits and sell out in 3 months.
Man, another awesome video! I’ve always wanted one of these RC10T trucks. I wish they would re-release them like the RC10 Classic and Worlds car, but rumor is they said that’s not going to happen. Build it and keep it on the shelf like a die cast model. Otherwise you’re just collecting a box.
I still have mine from 1992-93, I have the race kit with the narrow tires, still runs all the old parts motor electronics I used back then, broke it out this winter and built a new 6 cell battery for it took a bit to find some Deans battery bars but no luck on matches cells lol. The old Kinwald 12 turn double still hauls, wish I would have kept the box for it.
That’s awesome only the hardcore guys built their own batteries! I also used to solder lightbulbs together to discharge the batteries completely. I never had a kinwald motor but they were awesome I mostly ran trinity motors like the green machine and stuff I still have a few old novak esc’s
@@clodbusted1776 that’s funny I still have my light bulb battery discharger, I also have Novak stuff, Futaba FM radio, too bad my old Trinity matched packs are toast. Yeah Kinwald was Losi then so I should have had a Reedy motor with Associated stuff, but got a deal on the Kinwald and it was the hottest new thing out at that time so went with it. Too bad at the time sold my RC10 and old electronics to fund the new truck, couldn’t afford both.
Awesome pick ups! I recently got myself a used and abused RC10T3 that I want to rebuild at some point because it's got a broken a arm in the front and it needs a new shock end among other things, eventually I will get around to fixing that bad boy up 🤘 great vid!
That's awesome. I'd build it too but probably not run it. That was also my first comp kit, believe I was 13 or 14 then. I got all kinds of parts and 3 or 4 brand new chassis tubs but sadly I dont have the skinny tires anymore. Nice work on the bodies!
I got one when I was 12 years old, 30 years later I'm looking to get back into racing but don't know where to start. I still have my rc10 but it so outdated
You can update the old one a little bit with modern electronics and brushless power. The suspension isn’t as advanced as the new rc10’s but winning really comes down to driver skill and it’s all about having fun
Hey man nice cars I’d like to fix my dads rc10t originally but we tried putting a lipo on his with new esc and everything but we stripped somethin inside the transmission how could I fix it for 3s lipo
Also my dads maybe year after .. 7035 I just read about with cf trans brace and newer shocks , no tires skinny tires cause they were band from racing I read
@@clodbusted1776 ok was going to see if you were thinking of selling it, what you would want for it. As I commented months ago this kit was also the first new hobby grade kit I ever owned and built, prior was a RC10 I bought used. So would be cool to have another kit and build it.
@@clodbusted1776 no doubt. I heard some guy the other day on a podcast saying he started the whole Xmaxx killer thing but I guarantee I started it. I started posting that back when traxxas offered the 8s conversion kit for the Xmaxx. It's funny too how some channels claim not to be sponsored by big companies but look who got one before it was actually released. How'd that happen?? In the road to allroad videos they state that during down time they had plenty of time to sit and design..... Wonder if the Nero or big rock will eventually come, will they have F1 suspension or vertical shocks. Diff brain or no? And like the new anniversary Outcast will there be any special editions?
Man, I lusted for the RC10T. Must have read the RC Car Action articles 100s of times.
You and me both. My buddies who dad was loaded each had one with the red chassis and they were so awesome I was stuck with my original jrx2 lol

Thanks for this video, very informative. I just picked one of these (7001 model) up at a garage sale for $20, all original box, paperwork, parts.

Errl RC I always wanted a t3 but I never found a good deal on one that was in decent condition
I have my dads 10t and my own currently discontinued sc10 2wd lucas oil truck and i have plans on putting modern electronics in the 10t
Crazy, nearly my exact situation, pops bought me the 10t new when it came out, I have the Lucas sc10 Also 😃
Wow, I like vintage RC10!

William Green the skinny tires are getting hard to find, every now and then some pop up on eBay but they’re usually pretty expensive
I remember when that came out, it’s beautiful truck. I had the gt but I always wanted to get the electric
tommy1504 I always wanted a gt
😍😍 Been looking for one. If it is for sale let me know.
I bought my first RC10T in 1991, it cost me $199.

Hey what do you think of the new 1/5 scale Keaton from arrma?
Brad Kalman it looks awesome I’m glad they put out a new design instead of a rebodied old truck
Where did you buy the kit man. I need to know badly. 🤝👊😎
I bought so many kits over the years I think I found it on ebay. I'm actually in the process of building it now
@@clodbusted1776
Sweet I’m searching out where to find parts.
I'd love to find a complete kit. Have 2 rc10gt trucks but would love to have the electric truck too
What are they worth?
I'm not quite sure?
Love to have one tho
Curious, what did you ever end up doing with this kit? Did you build it or still have it?
I still have it. Eventually I’ll build it, just waiting for the right time

@@clodbusted1776 Thanks, even if you build it and then decide to sell let me know, I’d still be interested as long as not run.
It may be best to go retro. I really don't know what to think about the new Kraton. Only 2 color choices? I waited that whole time
x Stringthumper x I think it looks good so far. we’ll just have to see how durable it is. I was really hoping they were gonna bring back the Nero

I have questions I have something that looks like that I need to know
Do you have anymore rc10t kits for sale?
Chris Denmark no just the two but I’m not looking to sell them right now
Buddy I would love to buy it from you.
Ishtiaq Ahmed not really sure what I’m going to do with it but if I decide to sell it I’ll come back to this video and give you first shot at it
The Rc10t has always gotten away from me I finally got a Gold pan cadilliac this is my next buy...
Down to trade the hilux for a rc10t3
