Markquis Nowell was absolutely insane tonight, not only with his shot making, but also his playmaking ability with his 19 assists. This was the game of the tournament so far
Couple questionable shots towards the end but that aside, yeah he was lights out. Made the play that sealed the deal. He's special
Maybe he should stop jacking up half court shots though.

Literally caught the chills… watching Nowell throw a half court lob, from a half court set, with under a minute to go in overtime of a sweet 16 game - not only to take the lead, but to also tie the all time assist record for a game. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!! Words can’t express, this kid is a legend.

That is a real pg right there. People who understand basketball understand how good that guy is... atleast in college. 10:25 - Who throws a lob for a backwards dunk in OT? Small BIG things like 10:10- jabbing at the MSU shooters or 16:25 - stripping the ball, 15:00 - the bounce pass versus a direct pass to the jump shooter so it would be soft on the catch...6:45 - the shoulder turn before throwing the ball inside on the screen and role, 8:15 - the hook bounce pass on the second screen and roll... impressive!

When he plays point and runs the offense, KSU looks unbeatable. He needs to stop letting defenses off the hook by taking those long 3’s though. They’re basically turnovers, when he could be penetrating. If he makes them I’m sure they look good, but man they’re so unnecessary.
Wouldn't it be amazing to see this team win the title this year. There last title game was 1951. Talk about a Cinderella story!! But anything is possible.
Alley-oop reverse dunk for the lead in overtime. Plenty of highlights and clutch plays in this game. The entire tournament has been so hype and its only going to get better. Keep rockin it steady, March Madness style! 2023.

KY fan, but I watched this game and MARQUISE NOWELL is playing like an NBA level Point Guard. Ain't nobody else in the country in the NCAA that is playing like him. He knows where to go with the ball and his iq and passing ability is best in the nation. Wouldn't be surprised if k state actually makes it to the national championship game.
I'm a KU fan and I also hope they make it to the championship game.

Nowell took those two bad three pointers, but his assists during OT, particularly that lob pass, were unbelievable.
I agree it was amazing to watch Nowell.
He finished the game with 19 assists (!!!), 5 steals, 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 turnovers.
If we re-categorize those two "bad three pointers" (which were shots he routinely made during the reg season) as 'turnovers' it would bump him from 2 to's to 4...and his stat line would still be incredible. Yet even his stats don't capture the heart he showed when he came back despite the ankle injury. Talented kid with amazing heart.
If 25 from Michigan State would truly take basketball seriously, he could be head and shoulders the Spartans leader!!!
Hall (25) has been our headache all season for exactly this. He alternates between looking like one of the best players on the court, to looking he's never touched a basketball before. He'll be a great defender one second, to matador the next. He can be infuriatingly inconsistent.

The difference was turnovers, missed free-throws at the end, and two KSU desperation 3-pointers that went in. Not one of MSU's better games, whereas KSU shot the ball extremely well.
On the season Sparty was 45% on FG, 76% on FT, 39% 3PT; averaged 35 rebs, 14 ast, and 3 blocks.
Last night Sparty went 49% on FG, 81% on FT (18 of 22 vs. KSU's 11 of 16), 52% on 3PT (!!!); ended with 37 rebs, 18 ast, and 6 blocks.
Saying it was “not one of MSU’s better games” is statistically inaccurate, especially regarding 3-point shooting. Michigan State played an extremely good game last night and it’s a shame they lost considering how well they played. You demean an excellent game and a helluva K-State performance when you dismiss the Wildcat win as the result of “two KSU desperation 3-pointers that went in”.

This game reminds me of the Purdue Tennessee sweet 16 game a couple of years ago. Outstanding basketball! Nowell is fun to watch. No one knows what he is going to do next! Jesus loves you and saves (John 3:16; John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 15:3-11). He is the Way!
