I have a collie pup at the same stage, will be watching the series for any tips. In my experience training works well little and often. Dog should leave each session wanting more!

I just got a 2 y/o Border Collie. She seems afraid of the sheep and the sheep are not at all worried that she is around. She shows no interest in herding sheep but rather she seems to want comfort FROM the sheep as PART of the flock! She is super smart and has learned every command but does not want to push the sheep. I have the option after trying her out to return her. What would you recommend? The worst thing that could happen if I keep her is that I will have a loyal and obedient pet…but not the sheep herding dog that I wanted!

I have a collie pup 2 months old, he is doing so good with comands, lays down, sits, attends to “come” comand and just learned the “come by” comand. … any way my question is at what age you recommend me to introduce him to the sheeps ?

Hey Ashley! Probably try these few things to start of. My next steps then would be introducing sheep to her from outside a round pen. I will hopefully be able to make another video of me doing this with Jessie in a few weeks!
