Governor Gianforte & FWP Grizzly Translocation Press Conference - August 5, 2024

Monday in Helena, Governor Gianforte, FWP Director Dustin Temple and several conservation partners spoke at a press conference about grizzly bear management. They highlighted the translocation of two grizzly bears from the Northern Continental Divide Ecosystem (NCDE) in Montana to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE) in Wyoming.
Other speakers included Dr. Cecily Costello from FWP, and others representing Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Montana Wild Sheep Foundation and the Montana Conservation Society.
