I, too, crochet for hours. I finally found a place that was willing to make a custom hook that perfectly fits my hand. I love, love, love it. It is shaped to fit my hand perfectly. It has revolutionized my crocheting time and drastically reduced hand fatigue. They are expensive, so I can only buy a couple each year. But, it's worth it. I've used most of the hooks that you've reviewed. Thank you for the time it took to test all of these hooks and putting together the video.
2nd time learning as an adult and hopefully able to continue this time. I was debating between Clover, Tulip, Furls because I have a decent ergonomic set but it is rubbing on my skin and bothersome to me. Furls look beautiful and I thought I may possibly spoil myself if I looked into them and decided upon them. I use a neck lamp and I noticed the hook end seemed so shiny- no one other than you so far has mentioned that. Tulip rubbing I hadn't heard mentioned before and I noticed the label and wasn't a fan. So with all of that I have ordered the Clover set. Thanks for this review I appreciate it.
I love that you show the boye handle I use that handle all the time, it's fantastic. I've also never heard a negative review on the furls hooks, I'm glad to hear a review from someone who spent their own money and wasn't gifted these hooks.
OH my gosh!!! I Love that shawl/scarf! It's beautiful!
I have used clover hooks ...but always go back to my Susan Bates they just work so well ..the hook on them or shafts are fabulous
I bought a cheap pair from a place called Wish there are white with blue flowers or something on them and I love them to death they're so comfortable
I will say with my Furls that it took some getting used to. Now that I am though I love my Furls. I have 5 Odyssey and one Streamline Swirl and I like working with them more than my other hooks. That being said, we're all different and like different hooks. If you're not satisfied with your Furls hooks you can easily return them and Furls will even send you a prepaid label and the box. They have a no questions asked 100% satisfaction guarantee. I had to exchange a couple of mine and it was very easy. Plus you can use that money on some pretty new yarn that you'll love.
I tried the Furls wooden hook, merely due to all the hype & people raving about them. I totally agree, they're really difficult to work with.
I've found Milward to be excellent.
Great review. Thank you for the info.
I really appreciate the information you have shared with us.
Loved your review. Thank you for taking the time to do this. Very helpful.
Thanks for the review. I use Clover and Tulip.
The Tulip hook rubbed on my pinky finger too and made it sore. I am so glad that I am not the only one! Thank you for your honest review.
Thank you for the different types of hooks review, I love your scarf!
I really appreciated this review! it's been really helpful in choosing my next hooks! Thank you!
Great review BTW.... I love your honesty! Thank you
Thank you for this, Jeanne!
Thank you! That was very helpful.
Thank you for sharing love your shawl pretty colors and thank you for your review of the hooks
Great review! I love your shawl. Color is beautiful
Thank you for your reviews very helpful
Jeanne I totally agree with you Clover is to me the best hooks to use as a close second the Susan Bates with the rubber handle but only use this hook when the yarn is inclined to split. It was such a nice chat about hooks and from our podcasts the Furls hook is for the prestige and not the comfort xxx
Nice very thorough review, appreciate it so much Jeanne. Have a great day !
Thank you for the great review on crochet hooks. I also love my clover hooks.
Thank you for this review! I like Boye!
Thank you for your honest opinion. I appreciate it.
Thanks for the hook review!👍

Thanks for doing the review on crochet hooks. It really helps me decide on what to try next. Have a great evening!
I agree with your assessment of the hooks. I love my clover hooks.

Hi Jeanne, Love your review of different brands of crochet hooks. Thank you so much.
Jeannie you did a wonderful job explaining the difference in the hooks I enjoyed it very much! Great job!
I loved your review and I totally agree with all of your opinions on every hook you reviewed. Thank you so much for your extra efforts you put into each brand !!
Hi, Jeanne. Thanks for the info. I like my clovers, too.
Great review, thanks! I love my Clover Amour, but I want to try the Furls Streamline.
Great review! Love my clover hooks! I wanted to love my furls too but just couldn’t use it. Thanks Jeanne!
Awesome review. A few I hadn't tried all of those, but I mostly use the clover hooks.
As a kid, I learned on Boye hooks (pencil grip) as well. Then took a 20-year hiatus to knit things as I thought crocheting made my hand cramp.
Then recently, I decided to pick crochet back up but needed new hooks. I picked up the set of 10 Clover Amour hooks and learned how to knife grip. Let me tell ya, I’ve fallen back in love with crochet AND I agree that my Clover hooks are still my favorite hooks. I’ve tried them all and always return to my Clovers.
I have huge man hands and the handles on the Clovers aren’t an issue at all.
It’s always great to hear other crocheters opinions on hooks! Thank you for sharing 😊
Aloha Jeanne, thank you so much for the hook review. I love all you do for us on your CZcams. Have a great day. ❤️❤️🧶🧶
Thank you for the review. I love my Clover hooks. Tried a few others and always reach for a Clover.
Thank you for the hook review! It helps a lot when picking the tools for crochet. Love that Rome yarn and the scarf that you are wearing.
Great video, it was very informative. I just ordered the Clovers..
Thank you so much for showing us all these different types of hooks. I truly appreciate it.
Thanks for this. Learned a lot and thought about some gifts for my crocheting mom. Take care!
Hi, thanks so much for the review. I enjoy the clover hooks the best. I first started using the Susan Bates. 🤗😊
Thank you for the review Jeanne. I am a Clover girl through and through.
Thank you for this video it is very helpful.
Great review!! And I have to say, I do love my Clovers too ❤️. I wasn’t sure I’d like the bigger ones in plastic, but I love those too!
What a great and thorough review! I have crocheted for 50 years and yes, the Clover hooks are my absolute favourite too. Thank you!
Holy cow, I just realized I have crocheted for 50 years too! I really did not think it was so long. But i have spent more time sewing, embroidering, quilting, and creating fine art, so now I am doing crochet again. Need to find what my arthritic hands (and whole body) can handle. I must create to live.
Awesome review. I really enjoyed it My favorite is the Tulip hook followed close behind the Clover. Thank you for doing the review
Thank you for giving your opinion. I appreciate it. I did get some insight into the different hooks. 👍🌻🌻
Thanks for the reviews. I use Clover and Tulip.
Jeanne, Thank You so much for your hook reviews! I am sure you have saved me $$'s and frustration too! Cheers!
I loved your review of the crochet hooks, and i agree with you, i love my clover ergonomic hooks the best. God Bless
Glad to see that you did not get hurt by the tornados and you are safe.
Thanks for the review crocheting hook. Have nice day and rest of your week.
Thank you for this helpful review of various hooks. I have mostly aluminum or plastic hooks. So many love their Clover hooks! Your shawl is lovely, Jeanne. Thanks!
I also Love my clover hooks Thank you for a great tutorial
You are nearly to 7,000 subscribers!! Wow, your hard work has definitely paid off. ❤️🙏🏽
I agree I love my clover hooks. Thank you
I have RA really bad in my hands when you recommended the Clover I ordered a set on Amazon I fell in love with them. I love crochet but my hands swell and hurt really bad but I can crochet longer with the Clover hooks. I now have 2sets and a set of the larger ones. Thanks for the review and I think the Furl hooks are beautiful but not for me..
I love your honest review. Also love that you make it clear that these are personal preferences and that everyone is different! Thank you for the great video
I got clover hooks for Christmas!! I love them!!
Hi Jeannie what a great review and I agree with everything you said my favorite hooks are clover have a great day going to purchase your crescent shawl pattern and they are my favorite 💗
The review was very helpful. Just bought my first clover hook and what a difference- I really love it. Will definitely be switching to Clover. Thanks so much!
I really enjoyed this very informative video! I crochet with the same “no name” aluminum hook set from amazon for years now and have only just started seeing what else is out there. Thank you for so much great information packed into one video!
I stumbled upon this channel & you are so honestly “FUNNY” that is why I had to subscribe, because I know exactly what you are saying.... 😂 THANX
I really appreciate listening to your review. Especially since I’ve been thinking about buying a better hook thank I have. Thank you!😃
I so much LOVE Clover hooks! After buying just one to try it out, I fell in love! The 'ergonomic' set I had purchased were just fine for me, I thought...until I had that Clover in my hand! Wow! Game changer! Sooooo smooth, and works any yarn like butter! I now own a complete set, and 2 of my best friend crocheters are now my Clover buddies, too! They, too, are amazed at the difference! Thank you for your review - I wanted to try the expensive brand, but now you've shown me they really wouldn't work for me, no matter how 'pretty'!
thank you so much for the reviews. I bought your titmouse pattern the other day, and am going to be away next week for training, so I will be taking that pattern and some yarn with me, and it will be the first pattern of that type for me. I really like the shawl you are wearing also
I'm a Clover girl! Appreciate the review!
Thank you Jeanne for your hook review! I have many different brands and types of hooks also. I'm looking into the tulips and clovers. Have not tried furls yet. Maybe someday.
This is a very good review! So helpful. I've never seen the huge Boye hook cover. Would take some getting used to but as someone who has carpal tunnel and arthritis I would like to try it! Thank you so much :)
Thank you. I ordered my first Clover hook. I will try it and see if I like it.
Hello jeanne ,That is a pretty shawl u got on it maches the sweater u got on .That is nice hooks i also bougt me some new hooks glad for them .
Jeanne, I really do love my clover hooks. I have the whole set and they are just great I don't have any problem with any of them.
I sliced off the bump! now its a great hook!!!
Excellent review everything was dead on. Love my Susan Bates and Clovers.
Since I am a pencil grip crocheter I love my Susan Bates, and I also love Clover hooks. My bigger hooks are all clover. Thanks for the review.
Great hook review, thanks for sharing! I have been crocheting for years and I have a few Susan Bates and Boye hooks which I used to use a lot but then I got carpal tunnel and I couldn't use those hooks for very long. I bought an off brand with the silicon handles and they have worked out very well so far. I don't have any Clover hooks and may try them next. Thanks again!
Your shawl is gorgeous. You are so talented.
The Boyd hook holder I tried it I loved it and I gave it to a 90 year old woman who was still crocheting and she loves it and helps her to guide her hook with no pain or cramping and her hand
I love the Clover hooks.
Beautiful Shawl
I am also a clover hook fan. They really do work well for me. Thanks for the overall review of all the different hooks! Happy crocheting everyone!❤️
I agree with you about the Furls hooks. I spent $75 for 3 beautiful hooks, but I would rather have spent that money on some very nice hand dyed yarn. I wanted to really, really love them, but I just don’t.
I enjoyed your video. I purchased the series from Boye. I'm happy you are fond of this hook. I'm anxious to get started.
Hi Jeanne thank you for your review on the different hooks. I only have Susan Bates and Boye hooks but I’m going to try Clover.
I recently discovered Clover Amour hooks and I’m hooked! I ordered a set with assorted sizes.
HiYa Jeanne! Thank you so much for the review! I've been crocheting for a very long time as well and I have to say I agree with you about the hooks. I was gifted some furls and I really wanted to love them as much as so many do, but I disliked them very much. I'll stick to my clovers with you!!
Hi Jeanne! I have had the same hook journey - I started with Susan Bates, graduated to the aluminum hook with the wooden handle (which I actually really liked because it gave kind of a balancing lever feeling) and then happened upon the Clover Amour hooks. I fell in love with the amour. 😂. They are so ergonomic that I barely have to grip it at all, which is great for my arthritic hands. Your assessment of the Furles hooks is helpful. I'd thought about trying one but after seeing reviews like yours, I think I wouldn't like them as much as I do the Clover. I do like the Prym hooks, which weren't available when you did this video 3 years ago. Prym are nice and I'll use them on certain projects, but I like the way the metal of the Clover slides through all types of fiber. Thanks for your review and I'm definitely going to check out your pattern for that beautiful scarf!
I used to use plain aluminum hooks. Then I got my first Clover, and I would never go back. I can crochet longer and faster now. I Love my Clovers!
