- My sticker got a 1 star review 😭 so I decided it was time to have the ultimate competition to find the best vinyl sticker paper out there. I'm starting with testing the popular brands Koala, Joyeza, Homsto, QYH, HTVRont, Aiva, and Luxoton. I've ruled out the glossy HTVRont and Koala, still deciding about Aiva and Homsto, and Joyeza, QYH, and Luxoton have held up great!

You could see how they fare against UV light by putting them up a window for a month and seeing how much they fade.
I was going to also recommend this. I don’t know if it’s the ink I have but I used the joyeza vinyl sticker paper and they faded over time :(
I've been meaning to do that! I use laminate that's supposed to be 2-4 years of UV protection, but maybe I'll leave it off on a few stickers to test the different brands
@@leighanncreatesPlease update us. I wonder if you could use a UV light to speed up the testing
If you're willing to invest a little bit of money, you can also get a UV curing lamp so it doesn't have to sit in the window for as long@@leighanncreates
@93DavidJ
lmao, I'm just picturing someone sneaking into a glasses store or Del Sol to use their lamps
Heh😅 don't let it get you down. You're a self made Artist and Businesswoman. Very Inspirational; that's why I Subbed. 😁 You always STICK to it!
😅 thanks! Sticking to it is the hardest part of starting small businesses but can be so worth it😊
QYH is what I've been using in my small tests before I really get into the business, and Ive been a huge fan of how they stand up to water lmao. I test them out on my watercolor set, which gets a lot of wear and tear from regular use and they've stood up in general very well. Glad to see it's not unusual to want to extensively test supplies
Thanks so much for the helpful tip!! What ink do you use to print and what laminate! Thanks for your time!
I wish reviews were still just used to provide feedback instead of tearing down the business, especially a small, independent one-it’s so unfair.
Good on you for taking the review so seriously and making sure you’re providing the best product possible, this is the first video of yours I’ve encountered and I’m so eager to place an order now!
I just saw you ship worldwide too, and I feel so lucky to have found you!
You're doing good
It's good to take it as feedback for testing
It's how you improve
And it's also great you're not letting getting you down so much
And the stickers look fun!
LOVE this kind of product review! Love seeing the testing process and results
I would try a heat test, like leaving your water bottle in a hot car or somewhere where the heat gets high but there isn’t much moisture.
When I needed to produce waterproof labels for my skincare brand I used the second brand you listed then found that modge podge spray paint sealed them the best and they have lasted for years now
Underrated, I love stickers 🤩
I appreciate your professionalism ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I like Neato sticker paper, never had an issue with it. I do add a top layer of laminate for extra protection too, but I've never had a customer complain about them ever. The ones I've had on my water bottle have been there at least a year and are still sticking strong.
What is the tearability of each of these? which one is the hardest to tear? real vinyl, even cheap vinyl from china should stretch before it tears.
And this is how you run a business. Caring more about quality and customer satisfaction, than making a quick buck. 👏
And still notes that they didn't ask for a replacement or refund-- that gives a little hint of bitterness over a single bad review like the customer should have done more.
That kind of research and dedication to your craft. From now on, I’m only ordering my stickers for you.
You should try Harknee and POISAL papers. They’re really good 😍
I use Joyeza for my personal stickers!
For some idk reason, your hair and eyes are really cute ❤
Lux stickers have been phenomenal.
i thought you were gonna complain but i got to see different brands of the same sticker that was cool😭
is there going to be a full video? or a part 2?
Maybe eventually! No updates yet, I’m still using Luxoton, QYH, and Joyeza
i appreciate the helpful vid, you have good energy and got straight to the point, therefore so will i. i apologize for what i will create with this knowledge
This is AWESOME!! wonderful video.
I make my stickers by either using poscas straight on cricket vinyl, or on thin paper with posca and ohuhu/copic markers, glued on the vinyl then clear packing tape as lament. Cut out by hand
Its a pain, they're not super heavy duty. But they're done with my hands, and they'll do for myself and friends :3
I started making stickers like 2 years ago and I miss it so much but ink is so expensive it’s hard lol. I have all the supplies I just can’t afford ink rn
I have been using QYH for well over. Year and really like it. Never had trouble with them. Never tried ithers
Omg thank you!
Need some for my water bottle 😅
I use joyeza
The dishwasher 😭 I have the same one😭
I just need to know if I can put them kn my bong and still wash it 😅
Can we get an order rating of recommend? I need to start making my own stickers
I just got some joyeza. I pulled a noob and got non water resistant sticker paper 😅
Seems like the interaction between the paper and the lamination is affecting the geometry
I love koala but I haven't used their sticker paper.
i use online lables, its water and heat proof (holds up well in my dishwasher where only the hottest setting isnt broken), but sadly not weather proof, over time if on the back of ur phone it will start to chip.
I also only recomend the matte kind. Ill be honest no other inkjet sticker paper worked for me and all bled or wasnt as water proof as advertised
You should try hand washing with a sponge as a test because that's how they will most likely be washed.
What do you recommend?
Hear laminates will come off over the months when stocked to curved materials. Trust me, I sold 100k stickers in 2023, and this costed me a lot in the end
You can laminate stickers? I didn't know that
All of my stickers on my waterbotyle have faded, scratched, or peeled except for my Joyeza sticker. After several years of daily use and eashing, there's only one other sticker that has matched the durability.
Also they don't reccomend putting double wall insulated SS bottles in the dishwasher.
I’ve heard this, I believe, but it’s just because it makes the insulation worse, right?
And the water gets inside the double walls and gets trapped, then molds in there. The double walled bottles aren't designed for that washing unfortunately
Girl I’m been in business for a few years now and I sell decals/stickers. It can be exactly how the customer ordered it and it can be just fine but there are some people you can’t please NO MATTER WHAT. I got a 1 star review the other day and he didn’t even leave the reason why he wasn’t happy with his order he just put “this is very upsetting” no details and I tried reaching out to fix the problem and I never got a response.
Now put them in the direct sun for a week and half 😂😂
Figure out which sticker paper redbubble uses. Those suckers are still on my water bottle 6 Mos later with no peeling, fading, or anything, and I am pretty not gentle with my Zuru.
Very important detail missing here, what printer are you using? Dye or pigment ink? Thermal or piezo heads?
What printer do u use
I mean honestly, you could just accept it and do as your doing now. Without throwing shade at them for not wanting a refund or replacement.
Take it as criticism, grow from it, replace the bad product. But dont dis on those who make a 1 star.
thank you for your service 🫡
Htv ront failed me... the first batch i got before was good but then the subsequent ones are so much fail. Bought to much so now I'm using them as journal since can't return
Try to compete with this level of QA.
Reviewers do not have to reach out to you for a refund to make their experience with your products legitimate.
Sure, but how am I supposed to know to send a replacement or give them a refund if I don't know that there's even an issue? Every single business tells you to contact them about order issues for this reason.
@@writheagainsoonit's really not that ridiculous. Sometimes items get sent out with errors that couldn't be caught before the end user has it. Stickers especially, since you can have issues with backing or the sticker itself.
For many sellers their brand is important to them and they want to leave every customer pleased. OP isn't being ridiculous or rude, they're just saying they wish they had been given a chance to make things right for the buyer.
Right
@@leighanncreates how? They leave you a review. I mean come on.
Always test your new products thoroughly before you use em, that way ya can avoid this problem
I thought at the beginning said one with a P
HTVront's heat press vinyl also has a lot of issues- would not recommend
What happens to the AVIA
It’s sorta peeling, but still on there. Not sure about it yet, might have to give it a second go
you look like grace from american horror story asylum
You got only one bad review, you have many high graded ones!!
Well, its water resistant not water proof…
“Anyway” not “anyways” when changing subjects.
While “anyway” is formally proper English, there is value in colloquial informal communication to convey someone’s personality.
What you’re really saying is, “I don’t like your personality, and here’s what kind of personality I do like.” Generally we refer to these people outside of the classroom as Grammar Nazis because the unsolicited grammar corrections can make people feel bad just for communicating naturally.
Assuming you don’t want others to feel bad, I would suggest that you don’t correct other people’s grammar unless you want them to dislike you… or you’re their English teacher. Anyyyyyywayyyyyys….
@@toomanycooks4526 It definitely conveys personality. I can agree on that.
You’re wasting so much money on this, you’ll profit more from having a third party printing it for you.
Most relevant video *The Algorithm* has shown me in months.
I'm not sure if Ava is the same as the Avarrix brand we've got in Australia but it seemed to get mentioned at the start and then not mentioned later 🤷♂️
