Wait til you hear Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Dean Dillon, Townes Van Zant, John Prine, Hoyt Axton, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Ian Tyson, Tom Russel and more.
Maybe so maybe not but I think you've been living under a rock . Bless you young man you know I love you so much , but I have been listening to this kind of music since 1972
Very cool friend. Seems to be a common theme among old punk fans. I’ve known more than a few who naturally gravitated toward the alt country scene myself included. I think Colter qualifies.
Check out some david allan coe, Waylon, hank Jr and Johnny paycheck. Good stuff. My punk playlist is basically limited to reagan youth, some gorilla biscuits and a few odds and ends like the vandals, tsol and the descendants but I like a bit of every genre.
I'm a lifelong Metal Head.. grew up thinkin I hated Country.. now I'm 33, still a Metal Head of course, but BOY WAS I WRONG! I just had to find some certain artists. And now it's taken over my Spotify 😂
My eighteen year old introduced me to this genius this morning iv had my eyes closed for the last couple of hours listening swaying and feeling all the emotions deep in my soul love love love it please come to ireland and play for the Irish people you won't be sorry
Going to see this genius in October here in Tennessee!!!!! Don't think I've ever been more excited for a show in my life! Colter Wall is in a league of his own ❤
So growing up in the rural Canada the RCMP were all over 6' tall and monsters of men. It made sense as some of them would be the only law for hundreds of kilometers in all directions, they had to be able to be their own backup. I remember being roughed up for giving lip to a mountie when I was a teen, let's just say, its a reason why Canadians are so polite.
I just happened upon this and almost skipped it! My opinion..there's few accidents. "Thank God!" This was a cool surprise! I felt like I was listening to the type of songs written by Shell Silverstein, John Prine, Leonard Cohen,Tom T. Hall etc. Just to mention a few off the top of my head. With a Waylon, Cash, and the newer Tyler Childers, kinda air. Singing a "Townes" song, and mentioning Arlo, shows some unique coolness! Very cool!👏👍✌
That’s a percussionist that ‘gets it’ if you know what I mean. I always heard that in “big bands” from the 40’s though say 60’s the drummer was the band leader. Think Dave Letterman’s guy from the E-Street band with Bruce Springsteen, Max Weinberg. He is a band leader style drummer. I never liked him at all. Talented? Obviously. Could he play for Colter? Not likely. It would be below him.
That was pretty great. I've listened to some Colter Wall here n there, but this lil show just made me officially a fan! Loving it! Thanks to whoever put it up n thanks to Colter obviously for his sweet tunes!
God bless America! Greets from Transylvania, hearts of Europe! May be, once time, we will have the chance to see and listen you in our region. Of course, it is my own dream😊 .
Finally music I can relate too. Good job Mr. Wall and band. Keep it up. Look forward to hearing you in person the next time you are near south Alabama.
You know it's got heart behind it, when it makes your eyes water up over the fact it's not depriving the heart of it's necessary discussion anymore that it needs to have with a heart other than it's own, so it's a 💜 2 ❤️, making for a joyful experience.
I think we've possibly found the coolest man in the world here team. He works on a cattle ranch, sings like Johnny Cash and turned down an interview with Joe Rogan. Mind blown.
Brian Allen, ya see him without a hat, gorgeous shining hair, he has also played for Robben Ford, that amazing, legendary guitarist with rare skills with the charm of an Angel.
I gotta say that personally, I find it to be a nice change from people hootin & hollerin over the top of the music I came here to watch. Maybe thats just me.
I've listened to a lot of Colter Wall... This is the first time I've ever heard a performance with background singers... Colter Wall doesn't need background singers. The entire performance was outstanding! But, personally I found the background singers to take away from the incredibly unique voice that is Colter's... That is all I want to hear!
As a punk fan this guy has now been my gateway into an amazing genre. I absolutely love it! Could listen to this until the end of time
Wait til you hear Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Dean Dillon, Townes Van Zant, John Prine, Hoyt Axton, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Ian Tyson, Tom Russel and more.

The lady on the fiddle ain't playing around. She's fun to watch and very talented

Really good video...yes, good fun.
Love his guitar. Good stuff
She really gets into it! Love her!
But maybe should have stayed with classical music ;)
Metallica type performance coming from her

That lady rips the fiddle so good
oh, what a baritone... velvet on the wounds of my soul..
Greetings from Russia!😊🖐
Started to listening to Colter Wall 3-4 years ago. Its still 90% of the music I listen.
That's gotta be one of the cleanest fiddle's I've ever seen, No rosin dust.
Another awesome addition to the world of Outlaw Country!
Such a colossal talent
I just happened upon this and almost skipped it!
My opinion..there's few accidents. "Thank God!"

Holly, nice comment!
Colter kills it, but damn guy on drums plays harmonica and dobro too? Talented bunch.

Yeah, and Brian Allen on the bass gueetar!
I want to hit the like after every song!
I love his story telling.... His voice is unique but matches his Axe work without a doubt!!!!
There's a reason he's my favorite artist, absolutely legendary performance
I love this Man! So Good! 1st Country Music I've ever been into and I gotta say I can't get enough of Colter Wall!
I did always love Johnny Cash also but I always saw him as more rock and roll than country.
You have great taste. Real traditional cowboy poetry roof country.
You picked a helluva time to get into country colter is the best!!!
Yeah he's got a great sound! I definitely prefer "real" County to the twang-pop that gets shit out of the Nashville money machine.
Check out sturgill simpson 👍🏻
Agree with all these comments. I haven’t been a country fan until hearing this young man. A genius song writer and a voice like no other.
now THIS is country. hell yea.
Songlist:
Thirteen Silver Dollars
White Freightliner Blues (Townes Van Zandt)
Motorcycle
Me and Big Dave

Sleeping on the Blacktop

Best new country artist in the world. Change my mind
That was pretty great.
I've listened to some Colter Wall here n there, but this lil show just made me officially a fan! Loving it! Thanks to whoever put it up n thanks to Colter obviously for his sweet tunes!
Any man that don't like this man. Is the man with the problem!
I was tickled to hear someone do something real!
What a great song and a great musician!
🎶🎶Staying Upright🎶🎶♥️♥️
God bless America! Greets from Transylvania, hearts of Europe! May be, once time, we will have the chance to see and listen you in our region. Of course, it is my own dream😊 .
Greetings from the American South my European Kin!
FYI - he's Canadian ... not American ... just sayin... kind of like calling a Austrian a German
America is a continent, not a country, colter is North american
hell yeah! Colter is FKNA! Let's not overlook the talented musicians that play with Colter.
Brian Allen is the bass player...
Absolutely awesome version of Sleeping on the Blacktop.
I'm glad that I found you, Cody and few others greats musician that keep Country alive. Hope I can see you all one day in Portugal.🙌
This is the best accompanied version of Kate McCannon I've heard, I love it

This version of Sleeping on a Blacktop is pretty awesome!
Finally music I can relate too. Good job Mr. Wall and band. Keep it up. Look forward to hearing you in person the next time you are near south Alabama.

Ooooo that Townes Van Zandt song reminds me of FREEDOM!!!!!!!!
Ive never liked country western, but this...this guys for real lol.
I think we've possibly found the coolest man in the world here team. He works on a cattle ranch, sings like Johnny Cash and turned down an interview with Joe Rogan. Mind blown.
and a kind of Waylon voicing...
You and Cody Jinks change country. Hell Yeahh!
Sing it Colter 😅 Love what you do ...
Girl can throw down on the fiddle
Colter is a gem in disguise.
Your voice is amazing! Instrumentation is awesome!

This is great 👍 song..Perfect..
Love that bass player 💗
Brian Allen, ya see him without a hat, gorgeous shining hair, he has also played for Robben Ford, that amazing, legendary guitarist with rare skills with the charm of an Angel.
Shame i missed this shindig .. Colter and band great work :) .. that lady is key to the performance :)
Colter is one of the best names in alt country. What the hell is up with this crowd? Was there a special on Xanax cocktails this eve?
They look pretty old
But they gave 'em a standing ovation at the end!
Sitting down at a gig is already a wrong move.
I gotta say that personally, I find it to be a nice change from people hootin & hollerin over the top of the music I came here to watch. Maybe thats just me.
Do you go to a concert to express yourself or to hear and see the performers?
Don't ever cuss that fiddle boy unless you want that fiddle outta tune. That fiddle player was tearing it up.
Amazing!
This is why utube epitomizes Freedom
Pickin. And Grinin @its Finest.
Makes me proud to be from speedy creek. Keep kicking ass buddy
I love that guitar I got the same one
I want to see him and Molly Tuttle play White freightliner blues together it would be amazing
If you like this, you should hear just him and his guitar.
Great sound. I think you just gained a new fan here!
It's subdued how the crowd intro was, I could tell by Jim's intro ,..they was gonna be GOOD
The coming of the new Johnny Cash!!
#100 homie. Love this guy's music
Love this!
Canada huh? well, I think I'll check out this guy. Wonder what he'll sound like when he's 40
that woman can shred that fiddle like nobodies business and she knows it
Makes me proud to be a Canadian 🇨🇦
Dude imagine that police man sitting on his couch and listening to him now.
🎻让人难忘🌼🧐
Love the brushes on the drums 😊
I've listened to a lot of Colter Wall... This is the first time I've ever heard a performance with background singers...
Colter Wall doesn't need background singers. The entire performance was outstanding! But, personally I found the background singers to take away from the incredibly unique voice that is Colter's... That is all I want to hear!
Never heard him play this rendition of Thirteen Silver Dollars, and I've never heard White Freight Liner Blues ever. Holy what an opener.
So damn good!!
Joe Rogan brought me to his music
No he didn’t
Soo Great
After watching yellow stone I found the guy who did the opening song to one of the episodes and wow. Now a fan
He sounds much better when he plays alone
I concur
Some songs yes, some songs no.
Picture them playing at The Gem back in Deadwood’s founding days!
So versatile.
A drummer that also plays dobro... life is good.
My god, guy Clarke, jimmy bufutte, and towns van, and so many other artists, not saying he’s bad. , but fun to listen to
Where do these style of events happen? It almost seems like it isn’t necessarily a concert but just a show. Seems legendary.
Arlo Guthrie !! Seldom appears in a little restaurant outside of Austin Texas, Alice's Restaurant ! 🌹In Buda . Texas
Saw that fiddle girl!
