FranzRhythm popped up as a recommended video for me a few weeks ago and I fell in love with them immediately and have fallen down the rabbit hole trying to listen to all their videos. Even the songs they sing in Tagalog which I don't understand are tremendous.
Great reaction. It's the first cover of a metal rock by our favourite People's Band #FranzRhythm and was great. Their cover defects FRANZ Rhythm and their interpretation of this iconic song, not the original Metallica, and they should be appreciated as they are. Thanks much and Happy New Year. ❤❤❤
When you listen thoroughly, the harmony of their cover that seems there's an orchestra accompanied by them whereas only Char who handled and masterfully plays the keyboard..........really stunning though!!!

I basically agree with your reaction Brian. I also understand the appeal & charm of this wonderful family band, but music selection and how it fits with the persona of the band is key when it comes to the ultimate quality of the music & performance of the piece. In this case, the performance fell way short of the emotion & heaviness demanded of a Metallica song. It was a polite performance, but to be frank, it lacked the musical chops to put it on the same level as the original or the live version by The Solabros when their guitarist was about the same as Chen in this current video. Franz Rhythm is still a very young band and they will improve over time and they do a fabulous job with pop material, but they have a way to go with more serious genres.
you nailed it! they are very young see the drummer (only 12 yo), the lead guitarist, the keyboardist and the only matured is the bassist (father), just compared to other band.

My most favorite band, listening to them is one of my daily routine here in U.S.
