Some tips for all of you having a hard time fighting Shadow Garfield: 1. Don't use gun attacks, they don't affect him. 2. The attack you'll need to spam is Lasagna, as he's weak to it. 3. Odie will be targeted through most of the battle, make sure he's always healed up.
But odies persona, ultimate doggo, is the only one in the party that can learn the psychokinesis move "bark annoyingly", wich is a move 3x more effective to Garfield, so it's important to keep him alive.
Malasagla is really good too for attacking all the limbs, and if Odie is a high enough level where he knows Malasagnadyne, use it as much as you can. Jon has a great skill for this fight called Gameboy'd, amazing for heavy damage and inflicting Fear, and make sure you use Nermal's Deviantdyne to inflict Lust on the opponent as well.
What the heck are you doing most of the time in game then? You need to start it on a Sunday with Max level proficiency. If you try hanging out with him on a Monday though, it won't work.
