The dog room looks so nice. I definitely like the original floor it brings in such a cozy vibe. I know you said you had tried the apple vinegar to get rid of the fruit flys. I’m not sure if you doing it the way I do. I get 3 small glasses fill them half way up with the apple vinegar. Then put 3 drops of Dawn dish soap in and cover the glass with plastic food wrap. Poke 3 to 4 holes with a pencil so they can crawl in but, they can’t get back out of the glass. I place them around the house. If you already done this my apologies. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! 🤙
Dont lime the floor
Vor old people
For the Fruit flies - they are probably laying eggs in some of the drains around your house, so the best way to get rid of them is to pour hot water in all of the drains (includes bathtubs, sinks etc) a few times (it takes a few times) and you will notice a huge difference. Fruit fly catchers only catch the fruit flies but they are notorious for laying multiple eggs in sink drains and bathtubs which is why they don’t go away. This is the only way I noticed they went a way. It does take a couple of times and days to make sure you got them all.❤
I think the tiles look great. They are such a warm colour and really complement the furniture and paint colours. 😊
I love that tile in your porch and it blends great with your couch! A room refresh for close to free, how awesome is that!
The tile in the dog room is gorgeous. And I love that couch it's beautiful
THANK YOU for keeping the lights on while filming! A lot of You Tubers don’t realize the difference it makes on camera!
The tile in the dogs' room is beautiful! Dang! I don't know why the heck anybody would of covered it up, but so happy for you all for "discovering" it! It is sooo nice, and matches the sofa perfectly. Little Minnie is growing, still tiny, though! 😂 I would definitely let that sweet baby sleep with me if I was her mom. Sometimes I spend the night at my daughter's house when she and her husband both work (she's an E.R. nurse and her hubby is a firefighter) and their 2 dogs always sleep with me and I love it! They have a collie and a pitbull and are the sweetest fur babies ever. They love Nana and love it when I stay over lol. ❤
I'm on Team "Love It" - What a great find! Even if you choose to do something different down the line, this is a great improvement. Yay, no smell!🤫 Great video!
Those tiles are so classic. Love them. Thanks for sharing. 🤓🇬🇧💜
Cambriea I love the “new” floors in the dog’s room. It is just so warm and cozy. The color. The texture. Everything ✨❤️
I love how everyone worked together ❤️
Great team work removing the tiles they look nice Cambriea, have a great weekend 🥰
Love the tile! Brings character and warmth to the dog room. Good call to uncover it and use it 👌
That tile under the other ties is gorgeous!!!...I love the Mediterranean look of it!!!
I LOVED seeing the ducks running around in your yard as you were painting the windowsill. It was SO cute and adorable. Arlene
Love ❤️ the tiles that are underneath. The original ones such a great look
OMG! The tile in the pet room looks great. I love it. Minnie is too cute. I totally agree with taking care of family. Yes get her out of this cold WI weather. I’m moving from WI this summer. Thanks again for another awesome video motivation.
The tile matches the sofa beautifully!! Looks great!!
Love the way the dog room came out the floor matches everything so nicely. It must be so nice to clean a floor you like! Lol. I know you tried the apple cider but put some Dawn in it too that helped us get rid of them. I hope something helps you out. Have a great weekend ❤
I love the original tile! It's amazing how well it matches everything you've decorated with in there. Such a great find! :)
We have a green bathroom… definitely retro!
How cool to find the original floor in such good condition!
When you started to rip out the laminate floor and revealed the older floor I was worried you were gonna rip it out. I love it! It looks great.
Love the dog room Cambriea the floor is gorgeous and so clean looking, have a lovely weekend 😊
I LOVE that tile! It’s got a Florida kind of vibe. (Plus looks like it would camouflage dirt and dog hair till you get a chance to deal with it 💕
The tile in dogs room looks really good I loved it ❤
Thank you for posting! I got my fridge cleared, dishwasher loaded, counters wipes, couch cover into the washer and bed made. Thank you for helping me stay focused
Oh my goodness! This transformation is one of my favorites. I was hoping from the beginning you would keep the original flooring underneath. Without the white floor it just makes the room feel perfect!
The family room leading to the pool, looks great. Loving the original flooring.
Hey Kids!!!! WHAT A GREAT SURPRISE!!!! Love the original tile!
Hey Cambria!!! Great motivation, I love the tile😊
Hi Cambriea I think the floor looks great that was a nice not having to do the work and expense of replacing the floor. Thanks for the motivation!
Minnie is just gorgeous. Love the old tiles in the dog room.
Hi!! We love the variety of your videos! Cooking, DIY, cleaning ect.. love your channels.🥰🌹
I live in Florida too and the dust is never ending, especially in older homes! 😊
ALWAYS WATCHING FROM PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 ❤❤❤
I had the very same problem with fruit flies. my husband was putting the vinegar everywhere and it helped a little, BUT, I started putting 100% peppermint oil on a paper towel and rubbing it EVERYWHERE I saw fruit flies and they LEFT!! I was amazed at how quickly they ran from peppermint oil. Also, drop the oil down your kitchen drains, it really works.
Those tiles are gorgeous!!! Love them 🤗❤
We seem to get fruit flies about once a year. I learned a hack that works every time. Take a few small bowls and put a piece of very ripe fruit (like a banana) in it. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap stretched tight. Poke a few holes in the plastic with a pencil. The fruit flies will go in and not be able to get back out. (A few may escape but they will go back in!). Put the bowls wherever you see the flies. Mine have all been in the kitchen. In a few days the fruit flies should be gone. If not, repeat. It has worked every time for me. Good luck! Love your channel. When I am cleaning I tell myself it needs to be "Cambriea Clean"!
Obsessed with the floor! It made that room so cozy!
WHAT! How lucky to pull up tiles and find that underneath! It’s perfect for that room! So 🪰 I hate them too. RAID makes this Fruit Fly trap that is shaped like a little apple. I used the baits but what really worked is pouring apple cider vinegar in them and it totally works, they all go right in there. Change the vinegar daily. My daughter would come home and check. They did finally disappear but we also had to clean the dish disposal cause I think that’s where they were coming from! Bonus you can wash the little apples out and save them for next time.
Wanna add that I’m almost 100 positive that they were coming from the disposal.
The floor in the dog room looks wonderful as well as the tile in the window!
I love the tile you uncovered! What a great surprise! On the fruit flies...I went through the same thing. I tried everything, read everything and the only thing that eventually worked is removing ALL produce from the counter tops and pantry for a while in addition to using all of the traps.
Love the way the dog room looks 😊❤
Cambriea, Your “new” floor is great! Adds a lot of warmth to the room and color is perfect with everything else! Good choice to use them!!👍
Love the floor tile!
I love the floor in the dog's room ❤
You are going to have your hands full looking after your grandma and the new baby ♥️🌹
Could be Nats in the soil of plant too. Yellow sticky strips, spray bottle with peroxide and water mix to plant soil to help kill eggs. Vinegar with soap dish under a light, and down ever drain possible
The floors look so much better! I like the tiles!
What a treasure that tile is. ❤
I really love the old tiles glad you just left them!
The dog room turned out so nice. I love the floors ❤
I love love love that old floor. What a great find. ♡
Love the tile floor in dog room!
With the new baseboard, the tile looks great!
We got one of those bug zapper rackets & I just act like im playing pickle ball & go to town! 😂😆 The boys would love that. 😂 LOVE, love , love the floor tile. Can't believe they covered that up!
Add a tiny drop of dish soap to the applecider vinegar. Not too much this will reduce the c surface tensions of the vimeger so the fruit fly won't just stop by for a drink the will get stuck and drown. Also put the vinegar in a container with a lid and poke one tiny hole in the lid just big enough for the little painintheass to get in.😊
Hi Cambriea, Thanks for the words of wisdom and the motivation. Just what i need❤
Bonjour cambria très belle motivation ménage merci beaucoup gros bisous Martine de France.
Moscato wine in a glass covered with plastic wrap and tiny holes to catch the fruit flies. Worked amazingly while in college 😊
I love the original floor… hopefully y’all decide to keep them 😊
Thank you for sharing about the tile paint. I have pink tile in the main bathroom that definitely needs a refresh. Painting it would help until I can get a remodel done. Have a great weekend! 😊
Lowes sells fruit fly catching traps with an apple cider vinegar mixture of sorts. Once the fruit flies get into the trap, they can't get out. I had cups with ACV in them throughout the house prior to the traps from Lowes, and it didn't work so well. The brand is called Rescue. Hope you can get rid of the fruit flies soon.
love the older floor.
Wow the old floor matches you furniture 🪑 perfectly I love 💕 it good 👍🏻 choice tfs
I keep my kitchen lights on all day lo g .. even on a sunny day.. helps with depression
It will be so good for grandma the warmth what a lovely family you are ❤
I put wine corks around my fruit and no fruit flies at all. I reuse the corks and even share some with friends. We've never had a problem.
That tile! Swooooon! I thought the laminate in the dog room looked like it was coming up in one of your last videos. Good riddance to it! And what a happy surprise underneath. You won the flooring lottery there!
FRUIT FLY HACK!!!! take a water bottle and place cut up fuit inside. Put the lid back on and with a needle poke some holes on the cap. They can get in but cant get out. Make sure not to make the holes too big.
Hi Cambriea,
Those floors March the sofa. It looks so nice.
I turn my lights on during the day, not all of them but the ones for the room I'm in and the adjacent room.
I love the tile, great quality.
When I got fruit flies, I made sure to put all fruit away so the flies did not have any food sources. They also lay eggs in damp ares so put away any wet or damp rags/towels. Put out a dish with about an inch h of water with a little detergent. The flies will get thirsty, drink and get caught by the soap. Hope this helps!
That floor is so awesome
When i was living in Georgia, we got what i thought was fruit flies, but it was another type of bug. It did no good to have the fruit fly traps. I think the exterminator said that it was common for people wnith septic systems to have those bugs. I had to treat every open drain in my house to get rid of them. I sprayed my dawn and vinegar solution into every sink and tub or shower at the same time and then ran the water.
I slap fruit flies with a wet washcloth 🤷♀️That’s what works for me. Love your new to you floor❤️😀
I absolutely LOVE the old tiles! Try cinnamon essential oil in your drains for the fruit flies.
Thank you❤, sorry to hear about those hackers. Love the wee puppy.
The original floor Is a additional vibe to your home I love 🤎🤎🤎🤎
You lucked out with that tile! It looks great!
I’m IN LOVE with the tile in the dogs room!!! Do you think you’ll get another rug? Where did you get your live edge tables in your family room?
Thanks for the motivation, Cambriea ❤
I love the tile!
Hi cambria love how you keep is so real your room looks amazing sending ❤ from England to you xx
I like the tile! I think you’re right, it blends well with the decor in the room. I admire your work ethic, you seem to get a LOT of work done. I am motivated and inspired ❤❤❤
I had a swarm of stubborn fruit flies and the only way I could rid myself of them were those fly strips that dangle. They were unsightly but got rid of those little suckers in less than two weeks. They were drinking the ACV/dawn like it was a refreshing drink and not dying.
I had them bad this summer and I put a dangling sticky strip on my fridge and on a bathroom mirror. Not sure what attracted them to the strips, but it got a lot of them. I also used apple cider vinegar with dawn in water bottles cut in half and put the spout down. I taped some of the bottles down. The fruit flies would go in and trouble not being able to get out.
Hi Cambria I'm a new sub from the UK I'm loving your channel 🌹🥰
Love the tile in the dog room! ❤❤❤
The fruit flies is a common thing down here. They also come out of our drains. There are these yellow double sided sticky pads we use. We stick them to the side of a vinegar container and the flies will stick to them.
I love the floor in the sunroom. Your home is so cozy and warm and that floor I feel looks like you and your style.
I had the same problem with Nats this fall, and I killed tons with my apple cider vinegar with Dawn and the blue light but they were multiplying faster than I could get rid of them and overtime apple cider vinegar and Dawn didn’t do any good. They got where they were everywhere in the house. So I looked on Amazon and found the eco smart drain and fruit fly eliminator. You put it in the drains at night and then rinse it out the next morning. I put it in the drains where I found the flies my kitchen, my bathroom in my shower for a week or so before I finally got rid of them. I put a rag in the drain to block it at night. It is very frustrating and I didn’t know if I would ever get rid of all of them. There were so many in my kitchen sink that I do think they were drain nats/flies.
Hope this helps!
What a beautiful surprise. 😊
Wow love it!!!
As a new mother 30 years ago, (and making sure there was always fresh fruit in the house), I had never seen a fruit fly before. Then, I started seeing this one little fruit fly all the time wherever I went. I was thinking, "aww I have a little bug friend". I didn't realize he was NOT alone. 😂
Wow! Looks great
Fruit flies are the worst. One hack I use to get rid if the blighters get inside, is to use a container with a straw as the only access in. Cut the straw so they can get out into the cup and rarely will they find their way back out. I use something sweet like cordial or fruit juice as a lure, but surprisingly vinegar works too..
That tile was buried treasure!! ❤️
Hi, love the refresh and all the motivation! Have a great weekend 😊
