Raye is someone, an artist, that is rare. She actually sounds better while singing live than she does on her recorded songs. Everyone isn't like that. Or like my mother used to say "Everybody ain't able!" She is a very descriptive story teller. And her songs are sad. But she conveys her message and has an incredible range which seems stronger, broader and incredible during her performances. I'm impressed by her talent and the tone in her voice. And I like that she wraps so many different styles up into a beautiful package while performing. She's incredibly talented.
That's true
Love her anyway ❤
Since I got put on to her a few months ago, she has NOT disappointed me. And yeah I'm late, BUT I'M HERE!
Same, I’m late too but she’s awesome.
i just love her man 😅, the ending man the way she is just smiling, just vibinggggg feeling the music I just don't see that in many artists and I think that's what draws me to her, she is just passionate about music 😭 she deserved every award that night
Saw her set at Coachella and was in complete awe of her vocal control. She is the next best vocalist of this generation.
Love love love raye my girl is killing it right now!. Always have been, glad she's getting her recognition!.
Commone range!!!!!
Yours & Hers ❤
Yes!!! I’ve been waiting for this one!
Love that you are enjoying Raye so much - she is so good, and even better live. One of the elements of her live performances is her use of humour, which she conveys through some of her vocal choices. We hear it here in the sardonic half-giggle with which she sings "in fact I don't wanna feel, so I stick to sippin" and also the throwaway casualness of "I met him at the bar it was 12 or sum'in", which in Londonese is a bit of a piss-take. These bathetic moments of levity in an otherwise tragic song are like flecks of light on a dark canvass, and help to make the story so vivid and life-like. She ain't joking with that last note though!
One of the best vocal performances at an awards show I've seen, and thoroughly befitting a queen who was a six-time winner that night, which is an all-time record at the Brits.
You have a stunning voice ❤.
No words to the talent this girls has. She needs to find a better record label who can really promote her outside the UK and other Countries. The USA barely knows her except for Escapism.
You can hit on her note so Excellent!!!
Thank you for such a wonderful vocal analysis🙏🏻
I had faith we would get your analysis of this performance and you came through!!! 🖤
She's brilliant and your analyses only highlight that further.
Honestly Ice cream man so emotional. Love her honesty and like you said telling the story. ❤
I love hearing you break it down ❤❤
as always you are so incredibly on point and informative!!! I’ve only been subscribed for a few months so I’m not sure if you have done an analysis of same smith tiny desk concert or not?? If not I think you would give such and amazing insight on it
3:25 this, everything.
I’m crazy about this lady. And I LOVE enjoying music with you ❤❤❤
I really like her fast studio songs

I came with my sister from France to attend the show and to be honest I didn't know Raye very well. I left the O2 arena totally in love🤩🤩🤩 . This woman is incredible. I absolutely want to see her in concert
love me some raye
Faouzia led me to Raye a few years back. 🙂
Have you heard Faouzia’s “Fur Elise (Live Performance)”?
love how cinematic her music is
you make me not fear music, i mean study music. thanks, someday maybe, but i'm really thankful for the feeling
She was amazing! Have you seen faozia fur elise! You defo should check out its live performance
🎉and I love your voice. Did you take up opera
People say Amy, but it's Diva Plavalaguna for me. All day long.
Please react to Tori Kelly singing “High water” on American Idol and “Bridge over troubled water” live!
Please react to her performance Oscar Winning Tears on the Royal Albert Hall!
HE DID 5 MONTHS AGO
@@alexguajardovera For real? OMG I’m so dumb, sorry 🫠
Please please please do a review on this artist Dre Scot, the song is Feelin Me (Live Version). His voice is literally beautiful music
The haunting! Idkn 😮
I was getting tired of asking
Can you react to Pagan Poetry by Bjork please?
Her vibrato is like Sarah Vaughn’s.
Please react to dua lipas Brits performance
React to Lara Fabian Je suis malade live
You should react more to a lyrics of the songs and feelings behind it. I like your reactions but they are kinda “colder” or just technical and i dont feel warm and love from it
He's a vocal coach, and he's sharing his expertise, in a short digestible form. He's neither a poet nor a psychotherapist, any more than we are, so what would he be adding, other than his opinions?
you’re asking for a songwriter to react to raye then
Exactly ! Amazing that he hasn’t touched on the lyric and the emotional delivery. He misses out on why she touches us. He’s just analyzing and imitating.
Ok. Mas uma apresentação dessa poderia ter sido melhor reagida na parte emocional que técnica.
This vocal performance is giving very much “everything but the kitchen sink,” but I dig her vibe.
It's an award show, she won a record six nods that night, and she's performing a medley of her very eclectic repertoire. So if you listen carefully I think you will find that a kitchen sink is in fact included.
@@Ozymandi_as just because you don’t agree with my opinion doesn’t mean I didn’t listen carefully.
She has a very jazzy vocal style instead of a more usual pop vocal style. She’s more improvisational with the scats and talk-singing, so it sounds very different and “busy” to most ears.
