I work retail and I've been seen alot more older money come through. People spend what they got. My favorite part of roll hunting is you can't really lose money
I finally understand why guys like you exist..it's a nice rush and maybe it's just me but I get a patriotic feeling when collecting and holding precious metals and coins
My Mom worked in the same bank for 45 yrs. Really. She passed in 2019. Safety Deposit box has at least 20 rolls of Kennedy half's. Glad I just left them there. Now I'll have to go check them out.
I am new to your channel and really enjoyed your search. I started checking all of my cash after I watched you for the first time. You have me hooked now. Joyce
My bank mistakenly received two cases of Kennedy halfs and I've been tinkering with coins lately sooooo I gotem both. Needless to say this video is invaluable to me right now. Thank you for this!
I subscribe to the channel my dad was a coin collector very good information please keep the videos coming I have containers and containers of coins take me several years ago through all of them hopefully someday I could sort them out and see what I have thank you for your videos
My parents have always kept every 1/2 dollar, every bicentennial, every $2 Bill, every Susan B coin. They also have a crap load of wheat pennies.. I’ve hadn’t had a chance to go through any of them.. I just might go to the bank at the first of the year and get a few rolls. I have a niece and nephew that I would love to give them some
New sub my friend I'm someone with a coin Channel also I do cornrow hunts on Saturday always glad to learn new things you have an awesome way of presenting it
Oh man. Great video, thanks. I used to deal poker at Binion's Horseshoe in the early 90's. They had rolls of coins in their vault that were there from the 60's! I would crack open a roll and there would be 5 or 6 silver halves almost every time. Franklins, walking Liberty's, and bunches of '64 Kennedys. Made hundreds, but it wasn't long before other people caught on. One player named Eskimo went around the Southwest, buy up all the rolls of halves that banks had. Made a lot of money.
Thanks so much for making this video! I got inspired from it and picked up a couple of rolls of half dollars and found a 1968 silver half dollar! Without this video I would have never found that
Hi,I'm new here and I just love watching stuff like this,I have alot of coins and in the past I just bring them to coin star.... without checking them, now you have me wondering what I gave away lol well no more, thanks
When I was growing up my Grandfather gave me and my sisters a silver dollar for Christmas. They increased with your age. He did it up until we were 12 years old. Long story short, I had many from the late 1800's to early 1900's. I got into a financial spot and sold all of them for $9 a piece with no regard to rarity, or anything. Over a 100 coins that would probably be worth a fortune today. It was in 84 when I sold them and I'm sure they'd bring more than $9 a piece.
saying they would be worth a fortune is kind of a stretch lol. im nit pickin your words though, so just disregard my dumb statement! hopefully is for legit reasons you sold, and not for drugs or somethin like one of my friends did to his whole family a decade or so ago! his family had SOOOO much silver silverware and coins, and he would constantly ask me to take him to the pawn shop, an he would pawn like a set of silverware, heirlooms of 3 generations, for like 60 bucks when the weight of them alone would fetch at least like 300 at the time, all for stupid shit like weed or a few lortab pills or somethin! i nvever stopped him, i enjoyed havin a good time with him lol, but i always thougt it was f'd up! his mom was severely sick, and got like 300 lortab n percocet pills a week, an he had came to like them, and i have always liked them, so we kind of found eachother n formed a friendship, but the way he earned a living, and the way i did, was slightly different lol. i had 4 jobs in 2008, trying to get into a trade, and he was livin at moms, hustlin to get high, and invited me to enjoy the perc's of his labor! which sadly involved selling ALLOT of silver coins, i didnt know anything about them back then, so i never enquired about what they were, and the silver ware, and he even pawned sterling silver picture frames, very obscure, and what he claimed to be a polished sterling silver mirror! it was super rare according to him, and was literally a display piece from the late 1800's according to his grandmother! i was only about 21 at the time i met n hung out with this kid, so im not sure of any of the legitimacy of any of this. i just moved to saltlake and ogden utah area, coming from a small town in wyoming, and from where i am from, people just dont lie about stupid stuff,, they just dont deceive people, life is pretty honest where i am from. so when i moved to the cities of northern utah, i slowly started to realize that everyone was out from everyone, and off topic, everyone at parties was carrying a hand gun! and NONE OF THEM knew what the fuck they were doing with them, or how to handle them! At one party i was alone, knowing no one! and we were in a bedroom about to smoke herb ,the only thing i ever did at parties, i never drank because i was scared to be/get vulnerable at a strangers house all alone, but anyways, a 18 year old kid i am assuming, pulled out glock clone 9mm, and i asked to look, he took the clip out, and he literally had it chambered! i cocked it, removed the bullet, took the thing apart, kept the barrel, and told him we are smokin, im gonna put this here, theres no need for this! 2-3 hours later, he asked me if he would show him how to put it back together! thats how my time utah could be summed up lol anyways, sorry man, its 2 oclock on newyears, i just got home, an got on youtube, so forgive my pointless convo lol! please dont think i am saying that you sold your childhood G-Pa gifts for anything other than currency, because that wasnt my accusation, beceause there wasnt one! it just reminded me of the only time i have ever been around anyone selling silver or gold, which was my homie that i talked about, whome i am actually still in contact with, he has gotten his shit together, and is a great man,, at least from what i can gather from our convo's! hes in oregon, and im back in wyoming. tata,, thanks for reading if you managed to do so!
@@ronf.2029 ive lived in a few places, and for the most part i would say its the safest state. hardly anyone ever locks their doors, you go to smiths or walmart and half the people in the parking lot left their cars runnin, n i can only think of 2 shootings that happened in my home town in 30 years, n they werent from locals. anyways its pretty safe imo, less people = less crime. i lived in salt lake and ogden for about 4 years, an that shit was nuts, ppl just watch ppl get jumped like everyday n do nothin,, little kids play with hand guns at parties n cant even put the gun togther, i know because one kid was being a dumb ass so i asked to look at the 9 n dismantled it, n he didnt know how to put the barrel back in,,, this was like a 18 yr old kid that thought he was gangster. anyways, way safer than most states

Subbed. My collection is minimal. But I enjoy going thru my spare change n filling my blue books. Once in a while I'll buy some to fill up a book. Sometimes a random handful of a to try n fill spaces. I am very much a novice. One question I have bought a few coins and when they arrived they were in the individual little cardboard sleeves. So, do I leave it in the sleeve or put it in the blue book?
Just today, I bought out my nearby bank of all of their half dollars worth $700.00. Unfortunately, 90% of the rolls were 2022's. The other rolls were duds. Very disappointing. It's still fun hunting for silver!
In the first roll, you had the 2021 that was just as shiny as the suspected proof bicentennial. My question...is the 2021 shiny like that simply because of less wear/less circulation? (I've watched your video on spotting a proof.)
This is waaay better than scratch cards. I don’t buy scratchers or lottery. But with this- you get your money back if you don’t win, and keep your winnings above. YOU CANNOT LOSE‼️ FUN‼️
Fascinating!! I know nothing about coin collection but it's super cool. A question, do these American coins have any value outside of the United states for a collector?
I worked in a old service station for several years and I saved a large bag of silver coins that children stole from their parents for a few gallons of gas or some soda. 💎
Dang man don't remind me, I didn't steal them but as a child I'd use the old coins family gave me for snacks and soda. The icream truck was another one. 🤦♂️

I live in a medium rich area in virginia, my wife thinks I'm crazy for searching coins, showed her a 1956 D really nice condition it it's value is from $5.80 to about $80.00, I figure about 35 to 40, not bad for a penny.
I buy boxes of .50 pieces often and today I bought a box and the entire box is uncirculated 2023. What should I do with them? Dump them at the bank? I dont want to open them all.
I found a dime once that seemed to be mis-struck on the back. It almost looked like captain Americans sheld. I lost it but I'm almost positive it woulda been worth thousands, maybe more.. I beat myself over the head thinking about it.
I have two quarters that are silver years are 1958 and 1964 and I have a silver dime 1962. I also have a Indian head penny from 1897. Are they worth anything? Would love to know.

I've put valuable items on Ebay just to find out that it's not so valuable to others. When you make over a hundred $ an hour in business this seems to be a ridiculous waste of time. But we get it, fools gold!
I just found a half dollar that was cut twice maybe 3 or 4 times in the press that cuts them out cuz it looks like somebody with a fingernail on the side smashed it and cut it but you could tell it's obviously from the mint how much is a corn like that worth I got a 50 cent piece like that and I have a quarter that's like that
Hello. At 12:30 mark the 1972 had what kind of looked like a small clip. On the obverse at the “9” of 1972 and reverse at the second “T” in STATES. Anybody have thoughts on that?
Hey man I'm new to the channel but ever since your videos have been showing up, I've been going through all the change my grandpa had. He had a ton of the congressional coins too but I think only 1 is worth something and it's not graded.
I’m thinking not-so much money passes through banks daily they’d have to dedicate employees to these searches. There may be individuals working there who give the coins and currency that pass through their hands a quick look, though, especially if they have down time between customers. I would, and I’d carry cash so I could trade out for the good stuff, unless it was against the rules.
Thanks for watching everyone. That was a lot of fun. Great finds too!! 🎉

What if some stars are missing and letters under centennial hall are missing??
Thanks for the video bro
I just found a half dollar that was cut twice maybe 3 or 4 times in the press that cuts them out cuz it looks like somebody with a fingernail on the side smashed it and cut it but you could tell it's obviously from the mint how much is a corn like that worth I got a 50 cent piece like that and I have a quarter that's like that
I just looked at my half dollars and found a 1972 with no FG.
You are very educational
Treasure hunting is always fun.
That come to about a dollar a minute!!😊
Hello. At 12:30 mark the 1972 had what kind of looked like a small clip. On the obverse at the “9” of 1972 and reverse at the second “T” in STATES. Anybody have thoughts on that?
Good eye bro that is a rim clip
He already cashed it out for $.50
Very nice 👍
Interesting the top lettering are in behind the face/hair portrait...interesting I'd think the lettering should be fully visible on the 2021
Yes, but where would you sell then?
You should check those bicentennial coins for double dies..reverse side
I have a quarter that I don't know if its a mistake on it how do I contact you with a picture to check and see?
Yes, thank you
Hey man I'm new to the channel but ever since your videos have been showing up, I've been going through all the change my grandpa had. He had a ton of the congressional coins too but I think only 1 is worth something and it's not graded.
They make a coin identifier app. Sounds like you could use it. Good luck.
Does the bank automatically check their coins for misprints?
I’m thinking not-so much money passes through banks daily they’d have to dedicate employees to these searches. There may be individuals working there who give the coins and currency that pass through their hands a quick look, though, especially if they have down time between customers. I would, and I’d carry cash so I could trade out for the good stuff, unless it was against the rules.
