this video made me realize the mcu edit community is sorely lacking in punchy percussive supercuts of natasha (and other female superheroes for that matter) even though there's plenty of footage to support it
there's a thousand videos of captain america and iron man kicking ass to a beat, but female heroes always get overlooked
Female heroes are overlooked? I think you mean minor characters are overlooked. The only thing that makes Black Widow stand out is because she’s a woman kicking ass, at the end of the day she is still more appreciated than Hawkeye is. Her role is a minor one, just like Hawkeye, let’s not forget they are considered the “boring” ones of the team. Which is why people typically care less for them and more for the major ones like big and bold Iron man, cap and Thor. Hell nobody even notices Falcon or Winter Soldier anymore because of the poor screentimes. Don’t make this a gender issue when it clearly isn’t.
@@ojroche5217 People were asking for a BW movie since as far back as IM2. The desire only grew louder with each passing film. Yes, she was a _supporting_ character (not a lead nor a minor one) but the desire to give her a lead role was always there.
CA:WS was certainly a featured role but people wanted a Black Widow movie. Marvel did not have to sell anyone on that. The market for it was there, stronger than any other MCU female character (though an honourable mention for non-MCU Marvel alum She-Hulk should be noted).
You can say she wasn't important to you but, in a not entirely unique twist of fate, you don't speak for everyone.

They always thought that a movie with an all black cast wouldn't work but it did (Black Panther did amazing)! So I hope someday they will make a movie with a lot of female characters, at least more females than males. I think Black Widow will be the movie, we will only have to wait until november :'(
