    A lot has changed since my time .Most notably Bordon is no more ...Back in the early 80s your HGV was done in a Bedford TK .Obviously how you are trained has changed ,no PCs in my day ,the closest was a i think a crypto tuning machine ,where you could do the dwell angle on your points lol..When i left Bordon i was a Class 3 potential class 2 ,which meant no major mistakes after 6 months you got you class 2 ,if you left class 3 you then had to wait for a class 2 course ..What i have learned in the years ,that the R.E.M.E training is far better than civilian..I work for a major truck manufacturer who send the apprentices to a college ,the training is excellent ,but the apprentices attitude stinks ,,R.E.M.E would bin most of them
