For the teddy bear ones, I have a giant stuffed panda bear (same thing) and I use him as a body pillow. Basically if a girl is single or not able to cuddle her boyfriend at night, she will cuddle the teddy bear or any other large plushies to mimic the cuddling of a boyfriend. (I personally use my giant stuffed panda to cuddle him because I can't cuddle my boyfriend at night because we are in high school and my dad will never want me to spend the night at his house (unless I tell him that I'm not planning on doing anything dirty until I'm 25) (yes I really am a virgin and I'm a Virgo ♍️))

But let me guess for the comb - the bigger gap side is to untangle the tangled hair and once done, use the closer gap side to comb the hair or to tie the hair neatly.
Curly hair in rain is very straight forward - simply means the hair is not getting wet easily, functioning like a cap protecting your head during rain.
