    I have a pair of these in light brown. They are a extremely comfortable boot. I wear my usual boot jeans so the elastic is covered and I actually get tons of compliments on them. I’ve even had some hardcore, “boot guys” compliment them only to be surprised that they are, “not real boots”. They are my one of my favorite hot weather boot. I slip these on for 100 degree July Rodeos.

    Great review, before buying my 1st pair I watched alot of your videos. I would have never thought about getting boots before heck I've never been inside a western store before watching you. Based on your reviews I got a pair of ariats and now I'm looking into other brands and some exotics.

    Nice review JC. I've had a few pairs of Chelsea's over the past 10 yrs, and they're a very good crossover from a dress shoe & western boot, landing in the middle. I prefer the rounded toe style in Chelsea's myself, but the Chelsea is a very popular style especially in the business or office & casual scene. I like those grey wranglers. Cheers. ☕

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  Před 2 lety +1

      I think I would prefer these to be more rounded toe too but I agree that they are a great in the middle boot that look many cowboy boots with the the features of chelsea boots! Thanks so much Jim!

      Are they decently durable, thinking about getting the round toe, have a normal pair of square toe but they kinda hurt so I think Chelsea would be better on my feet.

  • @WesternWearEnthusiast
    @WesternWearEnthusiast Před 2 lety +6

    I could see this boot being used by someone who wanted to maybe get into cowboy boots but are still not quite there. The POV of this boot was making it look very square, stubby and wider than a traditional pair of cowboy boots. That was an interesting extended test video. Well done, JC!!👍

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  Před 2 lety +2

      That's a good point too. This boot would be a great way to transition to taller cowboy boots for folks who don't have the jeans for it yet. Thanks so much Carol

    Here in Australia my boot journey went doc martins in my early years , then to boots similar to this and blundstones ( also similar to this ) till finally bitting the bullet and getting western boots , have not looked back in over 10 years. Good move showing boots like this as they are definitely a good transition boot for thos nervous on going straight the western boots.

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  Před 2 lety +1

      Totally! Thanks for sharing your journey to boots by way of boots like these Bookers. I think it makes a big difference for some folks to make small steps into the more traditional looking western boot so I hope people find your comment as valuable as I do. Cheers!

    Before I retired, I did 22 months working in a large retail department store. We were provided with uniforms that included black trousers. These Ariats would’ve been ideal for me. They look incredibly comfortable with the wide square toe and the light weight would’ve been just perfect. Standing for 4-8 hours a day on solid flooring is tiring and can be very uncomfortable. I’d be tempted to get a pair to wear for formal occasions.

    • @JeremiahCraig

    I like the welt to match the boot color. I prefer the tops match as well. I have a pair of similar boots but they are more of an oxford and they are lace up and zip up. I just don’t know if I can do the toe. It looks like fun working on that crew., I love learning new things. Thanks for another great review.

    Good for Ariat in exploring a different style of boot. Anything that widens their market is positive. Honestly the general public is more familiar with Chelsea boots then Western. Buying Ariat Chelsea’s may provide a introduction to Western boots.

    My first pair of western boots are the midtown ramblers, which seem to be the next step up from these in the hybrid category. From the description it sounds like a cross between the Rambler and the Booker. They don't come in black, have the duratread sole which makes them heavier and louder with that heel, and the ATS insole. I went into a western store with no idea of what I was looking for, and those called my name. I have knee problems so comfort is important, and they definitely make a statement - you have to have the confidence to rock them. It's definitely interesting marketing, but hey, people like me are buying them so I guess that means something, for ill or will. :)

I always get compliments when I wear them not only that when I get too drunk at my brothers house on the rare occasion and have to sleep on his couch, I can easily sleep with them on my feet, that’s how comfortable these boots are. When was the last time you heard somebody say they could sleep with boots on their feet? Never unless you’re in Afghanistan
