The knock against Team USA is they usually start slow. It's just a talented group of guys, that for the most part have never played with each other. But as the tournament continues usually they get stronger as they learn each others tendencies.
It is so cool seeing Curry & James on the same team playing their hearts out. I'm excited for the Olympics! This squad looks incredible! They still need to improve their chemistry more but there is so much talent on this team that they can still win convincingly regardless. Also, I don't think KD even played here, that's how insane their depth is!!!
Jrue Holiday might not be seen as one of the all time greats, but he is definitely recognized as one of, if not the best defender, currently active in the NBA.
@@bigKyrieFan11Lebron has played on team USA multiple times and Curry played for the Fiba 2014 championship team so yes it has lol he’s not saying that they played together on USA just that they played for USA
Slow start and overall sloppy game was from only having a week of practice after taking a break and barely any chemistry. Doesn’t help there was no KD, white and embid fouled out halfway through the third. Canadas been game ready for a while since they just played in the Fiba Olympic trials they know what they want to do and how they’ll go about doing it. When this USA team reigns it all in it’s pretty much over for anyone and everyone tbh.
Bro I LOVE that your dad loves Jrue Holiday and thinks he's the best haha hey he's probably the best overall defender or at least def the best perimeter defender and has a good offense. Underrated like the pops said!
yea these superstars in the NBA aren't just famous for no reason. they're the most skilled players in the most skilled basketball league ever. these other countries absolutely know USA is the team to beat
Joel Embiid was born in Cameroon then moved to Florida. But he is fluent in French, has family in France, and even gained French citizenship in 2022. He was recruited heavily by French officials for the upcoming 2024 Olympics. If he would have decided to play for France, then they would have had a stacked team, challenging for any opponent.
For the USA I want Anthony Edwards to start. He played very well during the FIBA World Cup. Trust me I love Devin Booker I’m from Phoenix but Anthony Edwards deserves to start over him jrue holiday is very underappreciated for the squad amazing defense from him
SGA played the most with only 19 minutes out of a 40 minute game, as Canada played their whole roster. Big mistake to just Team Canada, just wait till it count.
So many weapons its unreal. Tatum and Edwards are young, athletic, physical players who had their teams in the running for a championship but they are the 2nd team. Just seems so unfair.
Also everything is different in Olympic basketball, at least for Americans because Summer Olympic basketball uses the same rules as FIBA. games are split into four 10-minute quarters and the court size in the NBA is 50 feet wide and 94 feet long, but the Olympics usually feature a smaller court that is 49 feet wide and 92 feet long. The FIBA 3-point line is also slightly shorter than the NBA's, allowing for improved accuracy from deep.
Believe me when I say this. This is going to get ugly for a lot of other teams around the world. These dudes were feeling out each others play styles during this game. There was a bit of ego on a couple plays but no big deal. Steph was just lurking like a shark waiting to pounce . And every now and then he showed just a bit of what he could do. Look out for an Olympic three point record game from him at some point in these Olympics. And they didn’t even have kd yet…….this shit is going to get nasty
FIBA rules with NBA calibre players is ultimate basketball. The NBA style is too scripted and favourable for superstars. In FIBA, the refs will call anything against anyone. Watch the highlights from last year's world cup, superstars were tossed out of games.
@@williamlester2048 I thought it had more to do with Kawhi and The Clippers more than team USA “not wanting him” to be there or whatever you’re alluding to.
Send Aidan to San Francisco, California, the GAY NEIGHBORHOOD OF SAN FRANCISCO, at 18th Street and Castro. He,d be a BIG hit. He could have any guy he wanted. Daz, stay home. You’re too old. But Aidan would be THE HOTTIE OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
You guys are under the impression that you can just throw all these guys together and they’ll just dominate everything, but that’s not how it goes the team needs to build chemistry once they build chemistry which they will they’ll start to look like the team we know they can be until then they’ll have some of these closer games especially against the Euro teams who always play together and have been doing so for years. Also KD wasn’t playing in this game that’s a pretty significant thing btw that yall didn’t seem to notice
0:51 Even though that team is loaded, they certainly can lose a game. US basketball is more star and individual based. Whereas international ball is much more team and cohesion based. Plus the international competition is much better now days. The parity is insane. That being said team USA has excellent coaches on top of great players and I see our team winning at Paris 💪🏾
This. I see so many American fans deny the fact that the rest of the world is catching up. Or at the very least sneer at the thought of it. lol The NBA is a worldwide game, not just an American one. And I am born and raised in Chicago, so its not like I am rooting against American players. But there will be time where there are more foreign players in the NBA than American ones. And you can already see the foreign influence in the NBA, which will only increase.
@@YerpDerp17only thing saving the world from not getting destroyed every single game is the fact USA has no team chemistry because none of these guys ever play together for their country besides the Olympics and that team changes all the time. These other countries always play together and have been doing so for years my guy especially the European ones. Stop trying to make it seem as if the US can’t play together playing together great requires chemistry and time both of which USA has none of. That’s literally the only thing saving yall from getting dominated every single international game. I mean the USA sent the worst team they ever assembled at the Fiba worlds last year and only barely lost to the champs Germany and barely to this Same Canadian team they pretty much steamrolled the other teams. The world has several great stars and even the top 4 or 5 in the world, but it stops there look at the next best 25 or so players and 90 plus percent of them are American born and bred. And I won’t even address your goofy clown comment of the world will have more players than Americans in the NBA that’s a straight clown statement right there 🤣🤣
@@YerpDerp17the world is nowhere close to catching up but they are getting way better and eventually will but there still decades away from having the sheer number of stars the US does
@@YerpDerp17 20 percent of the NBA is international, that means spread over multiple foreign teams. The day when there are more international players than NBA players is long long time away.
They were playing in Las Vegas and, yes, FIBA rules with 10 minute quarters.

Agreed that Holiday is very underrated. He’s an incredible defender
Jrue Holiday might not be seen as one of the all time greats, but he is definitely recognized as one of, if not the best defender, currently active in the NBA.
Isn't gobert a 4xDPoY?
Great to see Steph and Lebron in a USA jersey again! 🙌🏻
Also great to see Currys first big international game
Again? Never happened before
@@bigKyrieFan11Lebron has played on team USA multiple times and Curry played for the Fiba 2014 championship team so yes it has lol he’s not saying that they played together on USA just that they played for USA
Wdym again. Steph has never been in a USA jersey!
Fiba
Regardless of the slow offensive start, USAs defense was really good. Canada is probably the 2nd hardest team USA is going to face.

3 players currently for Canada are Kentucky alumni. Also 3 for USA are Kentucky alumni. Wild stat, imo.

Calling Jru the best player isn’t a long shot. Definitely top 2 defensive players on the team. He’s a lockdown guard.
he’s definitely best perimeter defender in the league
@@YTzaecapone Yup. And his offensive game is super underrated, he can knockdown threes, can drive to the basket, and honestly plays bigger than he is.
AD and Bam together in the front court is just a nightmare for opposing teams offenses

Yeah if he was on France it could’ve have been legit interesting
kevin durant was not playing in this btw

Should definitely watch the france basketball friendlies with Wemby
If Jrue Holiday wins another gold medal this summer that will be 2 NBA championship rings and 2 Olympic gold medals in 3 years.
I was worried everyone would try to play hero ball but they were clearly trying to play as a team

Yeah. Let’s see it all on Aidan! Gets me excited 🎉

Curry's fanboy side came out on that lob to LBJ
ya'll should react to "This Sparked The Biggest Upset in NHL HIstory" from Hockey Psychology
Wouldn’t have made a difference but Canada is missing Andrew Wiggins aswell, and would’ve loved to see Zach Edey play for Canada
One of the best parts about this win was when Team USA started bumpin "not like us"
Also everything is different in Olympic basketball, at least for Americans because Summer Olympic basketball uses the same rules as FIBA.

Holiday is probably their best defender
For team USA that was after only 4 days of practice.
Oh 100% Anthony Edward’s will be starting next game
"Who's the top Canadian players" HAAA good one Daz! LOL
This was just the warm up game
Las Vegas. T-Mobile Arena...
Yout guys should react to gils arena!! They are pretty funny sometimes kinda like teb inside guys
Watch France vs Serbia
I'm a Canadian but its hard to not cheer for team USA here lol
Jrue best on the team is certainly a take
Why isn't England a top ranked basketball playing country? Ranked 52nd. A lot of other European countries with superstar talent.
Because they’re a trash sporting nation. All they care about is kicking a ball around, but they can’t win in that sport either.
No one plays basketball here, there's zero culture around it
man I really wish they had kept kawhi on the team
worth noting that durant didnt even play

Kevin Durant is resting.. wish we had Kawhi Leonard for size and defense still though..
i mean we did, until team USA literally dismissed him from the team. Grant Hill spoke about it. Derrick White replaced him
@@williamlester2048 I thought it had more to do with Kawhi and The Clippers more than team USA “not wanting him” to be there or whatever you’re alluding to.
Jrue is underrated but he’s definitely not the best on the team I understand it’s your opinion but that’s just wrong
It's a very good game of basketball when it's not about lebron all the time.
The 1992 Olympic Dream Team will always be the greatest team ever assembled.

Anthony Edwards is great! but definitely not starter good lol, definitely not yet, but maybe in the future if works on his shot and IQ more.
Better than Booker
Lead team in scoring yesterday and will start over Booker.
