My heart was broken for Venus here. After that 6-0 I was so in it for her.
Love Sloane but really wanted Venus to pull through! She deserved so many titles in 2017. Loved watching the Venussance!

I remember this match. Venus could have won this match but self-destructed herself.
Venus just blasted the ball with no margin and Sloane was absorbing her pace with smart games.
The reason why Serena is so much more successful than Venus is because Serena always has a plan B, whereas Venus goes all guns blazing with no real direction.
At the end, Venus self-defeated herself due to lack of clarity in her game plan.
I can’t believe Venus lost this because everyone knows she would’ve beaten Madison Keys in the final. Could’ve been a 50th title and an 8th grand slam title.😢

Why did V hit a nothing slice backhand on that 30/30 5-4 point!?
We all know Sloane’s BH up the line on that late 30-30 point was extremely lucky, then, even luckier, the shank slice lob landing on the back of the line in the next game.
Not to mention the lucky net cord earlier in the 30-30 point. Such a joke
